As soon as they killed off Victor's character, they shot themselves in the foot. Best character in the whole Franchise, thanks to Nighy's performance.

The underworld movies are super duper cheesy but nonetheless Victor is one of the best vampire portrayals ever put to screen and so much of that just comes down to Bill Nighy's powerhouse performance.
Ain't nothing cheesy about it. Just an awesome vampire/werewolf flick that kicks so much ass and the writing I found brilliant 😎

There are so many flaws from the beginning of the movie that I don’t want to think about. Like bringing injured human to the vampire castle without checking his bitten wound. I like the design of character, but not the story.

Viktor, Amelia and Marcus as elders had a very interesting system of survival. Two sleep one rules for 100 years. Which meant at certain intervals one of them would actually stay sleep 200yrs.
i mean yeah, not only dos it make it harder for a mortal to recognise one of them, it prevents in fighting because they each spend an equal amount of time resting and then are awoken and given 200 years of memories to get them up to speed
Its also to ensures no succession crisis arise with 3 rulers fighting for control.
I could never figure out the math of how often they were awakened by the counsel or other elders within their covenant. Thank you.

The miracle is that Marcus was never able to find a way to gain advantage over Viktor.

Plus he is a purist fanatic and those tend to be very convincing to the masses as leaders...
It's funny. He refers to Selene as my child but Craven as servant. I enjoy Bill Nighy's performance.
I find it funnier that Kraven was like, 'im the head of this house, I'm in charge' then Viktor shows up and Kraven was like, 'Shit...'

@caitlyncarvalho7637 At this point, he was just revived and weak. As he fed off those those IV lines filled with blood, he became stronger and thus regained his looks.
The only other character in these movies that was as powerful and compelling as Viktor was Marcus. His role in Evolution was top tier.
Weren't there 3 coffins in that room, who was in the last coffin which never got open??? One is victor and 2nd is Marcus and the last one, I want to know.

Pretty smart on Viktor's part to arrange the chain so that when Marcus retired he would benefit from his blood, which is the purest of their race. Wouldn't be surprised if that contributed to his enhanced strength over the centuries.
And allowing himself to awaken Amelia, his ally. She probably ruled in line with Viktor’s wishes in opposition to Marcus.

So that gave him 100 years to establish the vampiric laws and customs as he saw fit, then Amelia follows to enforce it as she does whatever Viktor tells her to, and by the time it gets to Marcus he can't change anything because the people have spent 200 years accustomed to a certain way of life.
yeah but the real reason for that line of succession is because Marcus can only be woken up by Amelia so he will never drink Victor's blood and discover the location of the prison of William or how to free him
Then he would have to give his blood too, with all the memories.

Viktor was my favourite villain in this franchise. The other villains just didn't even come close.

Bill Nighy is an actor who is playing/acting on the same level as Charles Dance (Tywin Lanister), Al Pacino (Michael Carleone), Christopher Walken and Geoffrey Rush (Hector Barbosa). Oscar-worth acting.
I’ve recently been rewatching all these movies and I’ve come to the conclusion that the first 3 are good if some others don’t like rise of the Lycans that’s ok. However Billy Nighy and is performance of Viktor was absolutely amazing. More so than a lot of people realize. I guess my only wish is that I wish things would have worked out with Scott speed man and that maybe Viktor and Lucien’s deaths weren’t so premature. Bills delivery of his lines as Viktor are always very good he has this certain ominous yet threatening presence about him. Awakening and ESPECIALLY BLOOD WARS are my least favorite I mean I love Charles dance but like, the last two just never carry that same tone as the first 3.

@@TheBlackLakeSiren same but I put that down to not wanting Selene to find out the truth about what viktor had done to her family. Kraven knew every little dirty thing viktor did and cleaned up the messes. However either way Selene would’ve been a fantastic choice.

I can see, hearing this news Viktor can see what it mean in the long run when it comes to rules. But to me it also seems good that he was awakened cause things are going south.

1:33. To 3:05. This scene proves that Victor has more respect for Seline than Kraven. Since he calls Seline by her real name and sees her a Daughter and he calls Kraven Servant and treats him as such. Always makes me wonder Why Victor Leave Kraven in charge instead of Seline?
More so admiration, his respect for her is little at best.. Viktor's experiences are of an ancient and largely misogynistic world. While he may "care" about Seline, he has no presumption that she could be in charge or govern the respect of the coven. Even though she would have been the best choice to do so IMHO.

Kraven knows every one of Viktor's dirty little secrets dating back to even before the beginning of the war. Hence his dialog to Selene: "I kept his secrets, cleaned up the mess".
Aside from the fact that he gained Viktor's trust by bringing back "proof" that he "killed" Lucian during the medieval times. That "proof" being a piece of branded skin that was cut off from Lucian's arm.

Victor is my favorite character in the movie, truly means business and doesn't take no crap from no one, shoes fierce leadership, plus his complete allegiance to the ways and structure of the vampire species are second to none.
Can we all agree on how Incredible, Bill Nighy. looks awesome in the body makeup in this scene of the movie.

One of my biggest dissapointments was Emilia being slaughtered off so quickly in that train. She looked so the part and I bet had great promise to be awesome in the role.
I would have liked to see him vs Lucian for a second fight, he beats raze too easily .. Lucian is the first Lycan, with his age, he must have been very strong .. Viktor is very powerful and the best vampire character all time.

They hyped up the vampire/werewolf hybrid and he just got his arse kicked by Victor, so lame
Viktor has centuries upon centuries of combat experience; as well as being among the most powerful of the Immortals due to his age.
Michael, was bitten and turned by Lucian, who is only 600 years old; an elder Lycan, but still a child compared to the likes of Viktor, Marcus, Amelia, William and Alexander.
Before the change in Blood Wars, Selene was 120 years old.
Michael, a 40 year old human with no combat experience whatsoever; experiences his first Lycan transformation and becoming a hybrid a day later; Was still able to still contend against Viktor, even if he got beaten easily;
When Viktor, still weakened and recovering from his hibernation; killed a seasoned Lycan with a single punch effortlessly, Whereas Michael was doing much, much better.
In the 2nd Movie, Having had more than just a day of experience behind him, Michael fought 2 other Elders, Marcus and William, killing the latter.

@@Vitrolin2408 Michael killed William because William was weakened, he had been locked up for 800 years, he had not eaten and yet that gave Michael a good fight. William was more powerful than Michael and even Victor. Since William was the son of Corvinus, more was the first immortal and werewolf. William would have killed Michael easily
@@diegorolon2967 William, like the other immortals didn't need to eat, Selene makes the reference in the second movie, Where Michael eats normal food and becomes sick,
The Vampire Elders, Who sleep for 200 years at a time, undergo Sanguinated hibernation; and upon being revived have transfusions to reverse this, They too, do not need to eat, and only to consume blood when injured;
You can make the argument that he was weakened, but it has nothing to do with hunger.
As for William, William was less powerful than both Marcus and Alexander, To which Viktor was Far more Powerful/Skilled than Marcus, as the only reason Viktor didnt kill Marcus was that he firmly believed that should Marcus die, everyone who follows in his blood-line would also die, including himself.
Unfortunately for William, he is an animal; and doesn't have upper-intellectual thinking capabilities, Someone Like Lucian or even Raze, would likely be able to kill William because they are old enough to at least contend physically, but unlike William, they can strategize, focus their efforts and use skill in combat, whereas William, being the animal he is; cant.
If William was an actual Lycan and not just an animal, he could very well be one to be reckoned with.
