Film Synopsis:
Witness the origin story of one of legend’s most captivating figures in the action-adventure, Dracula Untold. The year is 1462 and Transylvania has enjoyed a prolonged period of peace under the just and fair rule of the battle-weary Vlad III, the prince of Wallachia (Luke Evans, Fast & Furious 6, The Hobbit series). But when Sultan Mehmed II (Dominic Cooper, Captain America: The First Avenger) demands 1,000 of Wallachia’s boys - including Vlad’s own son - become child soldiers in his army, Vlad must enter into a Faustian bargain to save his family and his people. He gains the strength of 100 men, the speed of a falling star, and the power to crush his enemies. In exchange, he’s inflicted with an insatiable thirst for human blood that could force him into a life of darkness and destroy all that he holds dear.

"What kind of a man crawls into his own grave looking for hope".... A truly poetic line
A desperate one
A man who needs a sympethatic plot.
My favorite line has to be " It's not a child's duty to save his country"
* In search of
A men who wants to escape marriage.
The Elder Vampire never lied. He manipulated him with the truth. Always love those types of interactions
Vlad just thought he could play his own game with him and get what he wanted
@@TheMan-je5xq If you think back to those times, what you said is the nobility of a real king or warrior.
@@mindbodysoulspirit6073 what playing the devil at his own game? Many would call that being a fool
@@TheMan-je5xq You'd get killed not accepting the game, because either way it goes, he's in the presence of Death. Gotta think, you're around predators. Either be of substance or food. And y'know maybe whoever in that situation can use that to flee, but in this stasis, he doesn't have much options on evading death, so why not game and see if you can bargain with it?
@@mindbodysoulspirit6073 well unfortunately by bargaining with this thing he has raised the stakes and rolling dice with the devil always results in a loss. I mean I see what you are saying but maybe he would’ve been better off just giving into the Sultan’s demands. It’s tough to say because now who knows what will happen because there has been no sequel lol
Charles Dance and Luke Evans played their characters so well. We definitely need a sequel to this movie, very underrated.
Why in what purpose do we need a sequel?
@@itouchbuttonsthe movie ends with the 2 of them in Paris I believe, in modern times. would be nice to see what they did in the last 300 years - what shenanigans they’ve been up to. Furthermore, any movie with Charles Dance is worth my time
I feel the same way, They need to make another follow up film/movie, but the studio keeps saying no to a sequel, it didn't do well at the box office!
We all need to write a letter to the studio and than maybe they'll make a studio film.
Charles Dance never fails to perform and is a phenomenal actor
Love him ❤ remember him as the Devil in Golden Child
My favorite scene, very Shakespearean. I watched this actor over and over in this scene, I can see that he was seasoned on the stage.
BEST ACTOR
@@samanthab1923"MY DEAR SWEET BROTHER NEMPSEY....😂😂😂

"How supremely noble, Lord Impaler!" Classic line! One of the best vampire movies!
This was honestly a pretty decent movie and I really really wish they continued with this story line.
I agree with you because Dracula Untold should've been THE 1st film for The Dark Universe.
Yeah, instead they rebooted their dark universe with each new movie while at the same time making each new movie worse than the previous one
shit movie
What annoyed me about the planned Dark Universe is that they insisted of setting it in modern times instead of the turn of the century or early 20th century like it should have.
They should have done authentic remakes of all the original movies/books and then had a combined film set around the 30s or 40s with the Mummy. Instead, they clearly had no good vision, plan, commitment, or quality control.
A Universal monsters shared horror canon would have been great, but they set it up to fail from the start by bad decisions.
They should have stuck with it, paces themselves and followed this movie up. with an adaptation of the book, a book accurate Frankenstein, Dr Jekyll, and then updated remakes of Mummy and Wolfman, all with a single creative visionary like Del Toro.
But nope. Universal botched it.
constant... never-ending... meddling... directionless... studio interference
Charles Dance kind of feels like a successor to Sir Christopher Lee. He has that same charming, yet formidable presence about him.
Indeed
Yeah I think if they had to recast Saruman now Charles Dance would be an excellent choice .
@@Shadowman820Agreed!
He makes me think of Christopher Lee a lot. If only they worked together...
This is my most favorite scene in the movie. Where Vlad returns to the cave confronting the creature, only to negotiate.
The dialogues and behaviors were awesome. It’s amazing that the creature somehow knew Vlad was lying.
If something lives to feed on the blood of man for hundreds if not thousands of years, then it probably know how to read its prey... or it's false, fluttering heart.
It's also my favorite, I often revisit this

We need a part two of this movie!

Right.
I thought this was a video finally showing part 2.

Well, The Lannisters love gold after all.
@@stainshieldGood one 😉
In cinema: Your phone brightness offends me. Cloak it from my sight.
I don't understand why this movie got so much crap. It was easily the best portrayal of the Dracula story. CGI effects were amazing. Acting was great. Dialogue was smooth. I mean, what's not to love?
I agree, I think it’s a really underrated Dracula movie.
Me too
I read people say because it's not accurate to history which is dumb tbh, it's literally about vampires and demons why still ask for accuracy
it 2014, MCU movie back then is hype AF with thor, avenger, it understandable this movie got crap
Because it was not a great movie. Its okay at best
“I at last will be free to unleash my wrath against the one who betrayed me.”

Charles Dance radiates such intimidating aura! Luke Evans did amazing too!
Most underrated movie of the 2010`s
Really no idea about, why they have scrapped the sequel. Luke Evans was awesome. He has done wonderfully well
I don't think he was awesome. Charles Dance, yes -- but Luke Evans was contrived, almost plastic and 2-dimensional by comparison. That's not to say he was bad -- just that working with an actor as good as Dance will put most actors in the shade.
@@mikef.1000shut up!
I also would need to see the overall budget of this film and compare it to the ticket sales. Because I know Tom Cruise's The Mummy cost a ton to make and it flopped so if this film tie in flopped as well the studio just said the writing was on the wall and not enough people wanted this.
Because while you and I both enjoyed this, it was very “ok”.
“Your silver offends me , cloak it from my sight” 💯
Charles Dance was the *perfect* choice for Dracula - a body so seemingly pale and weak, yet capable of astonishing strength and power by feeding on the blood of others, and delivering dialogue of gold at the same time.
I wonder if he shits solid gold.
He’s got that stand up tall stature.
He’s not Dracula. The human in this scene is Dracula. This is the origin story of how Vlad became Dracula, this vampire is just the one who turned him.
Is a historical fiction.
If ever someone going to reprise the role of Saruman in Tolkien's world Sir Charles Dance should be the one to get it..
Honestly one of my favorite Dracula/Vampire movies and it doesn't get enough credit!
Vampire sucks.
@@joaoalbertodosanjosgomes1536hahaha I see what you did there
One of the greatest vampire or dracula scenes of all time. And by the way: It’s not the devil, it’s the vampire.
I think it's the best scene. Because we've never seen Dracula get bullied by his maker before.
“And one day I will call on you to serve me my pawn” explains the ending scene.
Almost 10 Years later.
Dracula Untold is Turning 10 next year in 2024!
Dracula Untold (2014) will always be as one of the most unique and well-written Horror origin stories of all of cinematic history.
yes indeed we need a sequel. Sadly it wont happen.
Yikes!
it's now 10 years later Dracula untold makes it's 10th anniversary.
What viewers failed to understand that even before coming to seek for this power Vlad was anything but a hero
Nobody ever thought Vlad the Impaler was a hero
@@JoeSmith-dl9ok his people did
And they still do to this day. Pro-Crusader historians also credit him as being a defender of Christendom for helping halt the Turk’s advances even if temporarily
There is very rarely a ‘good guy, bad guy’ in history, especially old ass history like this. Mortality and ethics were to different.
Pro-Ottoman historians also credit themselves with fighting against an evil monster. :DD
By far my favorite Dracula story told we NEED a sequel!!
The actual life of the real man they called Vlad Drucula was miraculous because he was a true warrior for his time, and would have been an amazing film
If you need high class acting on roles like an elder vampire, wizard, professor or any other type of master or god, you can just put a veteran british actor on it. They are really masters of the craft!

This is an iconic scene I am never tired watching
Universal should've stayed The Course with Dracula Untold as THE 1st Film for The Dark Universe and yes, we need a sequel. So Universal if you are listening, give us a sequel to Dracula Untold which we desperately need, want, and deserve.
Charles Dance: understated and chilling.
and King Charles is related to Vald
Charles dance did an amazing job!! What an act
This is without a doubt the best vampire movie there is in the world, I would love to see a sequel, the stores are alive, the box office of this film was great compared to the budget, apart from the fact that the film has several opportunities for a sequel
We need a sequel to this film, badly, obviously where it takes place in modern times because of how this movie ended.
We need a prequel too. I wanna know how that vampire got in there and who turned him
@@artemisentertainment3316 a lot of that is covered by the movie, the vampire was someone who made a deal with a demon for power only to be imprisoned in the cave, which tells me he’s the first vampire, and Dracula is the second.

Such an underrated film.
We all agree Charles Dance is phenomenal, but I think this is the first time I hear him shouting unhinged. That "answer me!" is something feral I never usually expect him. Even Tywin at his loudest was never that.
And yes, with Luke Evans' desperation and grimness in this scene, it's glorious. I remain hopeful we can revisit this while the bulk of the cast is still alive.
I don't know why this was posted a few months ago, but if it's a sign that there might be a sequel, I'm going to love it, and I'm sure you share my opinion, this is hands down the best Dracula movie ever created.
Not only the movie is good, but one of the best music from Ramin Djawadi too. It has some hellish and apocalyptic wibes with those men's choir.
This was the best Dracula so far.

This movie was amazing, and now it’s time for a rewatch.
Come on universal give us a part 2! Bring Luke Evans back!
A movie with great potential for sequels only gathering dust on the shelves
i like how charles dance portrays dracula
Luke Evans is actually dracula meanwhile Charles is the master vampire and former emperor of Rome.
Please make a sequel to this one. We audience loves it
This movie did a really good job at combining the history with the myths.
I remember i went and saw this in the theater with low expectations and i was surprised...this is a pretty decent movie. A sequel could've been cool.
This film gets a load of crap but I absolutely love it and was just watching last week as I'm going through my dvd collection. They could've also made a great sequel with the ending 😊🐾 💜👍
Unbelievable portrayal of Vlad the Impaler, who was a ferocious warrior, leaving hundreds of bodiesin his wake across the countryside. My very favorite though, was Nosferatu made in the20-30' s. He was terrifying!! Then of course Basil Rathbone, and Sir Christopher Lee and the later ones in the 60' s -70's! Truly sexy ones then

This should've been a r rated movie
Hollywood often fails to provide such material. Indeed, it would have been a far better film if it had been.
Charles Dance was even more terrifying as Tywin Lannister.
And here I am without a due clicked this video as soon as I read dracula untold and thought this as a trailer for part 2😢. When will we get justice for part 2 of this masterpiece?
I have watched a lot of vampire footage (films, television) and read some books… some of the scenes in this movie actually creep me out! 😂
Charles Dance never disappoints.
This part where Vlad goes back to the master vampire would have been much more frightening if the scenery were only lit by the torch and occasional moonlight then when the torch goes out Vlad is surrounded in pitch blackness and then when he turns around to find the master vampire right in front of him. Just imagine suddenly turning into a random direction and you come face to face with a pair of glowing red eyes
Love where the master vampire yells ANSWER ME @ 3:27
.
Hmm, maybe. But it might have simply come across as dark, and I don't mean in tone. Just dark, hard to see anything, hard to really note the great performances; that kind of dark.
@@d00mg4zeMaybe if the eyes glowed with the torch light.

A shame he didn’t have much of an important role or screen time in Clash of the Titans. However he was excellent in Immortals as Zeus.
This really should have been made into a sequel.

This is a little off topic with the video, but after watching season 6 of My Hero Academia I agree with Dracula when he said “sometimes the world doesn’t need a hero. sometimes what it needs is a monster.”
There needs to be someone in MHA to get his hands dirty in order to protect the innocent. I really want an anti hero in MHA so bad like Red Hood, Punisher, or Ghost Rider to show fear to the villains.

This is what I imagine when someone mentions Vampires. A monster that has accepted the loss of his humanity. The master Vampire knows what he is. He doesn't hide it, and he tells Vlad only the hideous truth.
This scene was pretty dope, monolog and all
Charles Dance was perfectly suited for this role, great shape and great performance, wonderful movie
This film was such a surprise. Loved it
The Master Vampire was supposed to be Caligula, that was the characters original name in the script. I wonder why they never referred to him as that.
they supposedly wanted to save it for a sequel which we unfortunately never got.
