I know this is 3 years old BUT I think it did. He’s a Lycan dormant hybrid. Like Marcus was a Vampire dominant hybrid after Singe’s blood woke him up. He didn’t have wings or could transform until the bloods mixed. I find the whole Corvinus strain very interesting.
Yeah, basically an ordinary guy turning into an immortal hybrid. But imagine if it was someone who's a great Martial Artist. Put Yuri Boyka from Undisputed in Michael's place. Or even Tom Hardy's character from the movie Warrior. Now they'd be a killer Vamp/Lycan Hybrid.

The first Underworld movie was great at the time but I always felt it was a mistake to wipe the board clean of so many important lore characters in the first movie, Lucian and Viktor especially. The politics and relations between the Lycans and Vampires and the lore they set up was far more interesting than anything Selene and Michael were going to do. In that regard I appreciate the prequel they gave us in the third installment where they brought most of the elders back for one last hurrah.
I feel like they didn't think they would get a sequel. And if they did, they put it all on Marcus. This allowed for the first one to be relatively self contained (something you don't see as much anymore).
Viktor really was no push over , the combination of his power and experience and fearlessness in this scene was awesome. In another script and movie the character Viktor would be overwhelmed and scared of the realization of how powerful the hybrid is but Underworld Viktor? nah man he isn't having any of that , he will kill you no matter what.

This transformation beats them all! Normally we are hearing screams of pain and shouting but the fact that it’s relatively quiet with only short gasps for air makes this even more terrifying but yet awesome!!
I think it was because they didn't know that the movie would become a franchise and that they would eventually expand his character's story in the prequel. But you are right, after watching the prequel and rewatching this movie, Lucian was killed in the most cowardly and unjust way.
Underrated Movie of our time. I had the DVD when it was released. Now to see it streamed is even more great. Not to forget Van Helsin is still on my top list.
In the other movies after underworld 3 they did him dirty. Here he was a newborn hybride who could not control his power ... so he lost to Viktor who was a warlord and a warrior for hundrets of years. In the second movie he didnt stand a chance against Marcus Corvinus ... but that was obviously. After the third movie ... they did him dirty. So true.
Viktor was the strongest vampire in the franchise that made Marcus and Alexander fear him. Remember in the 2nd movie once Marcus found out Viktor was dead. He immediately went to his brother. Marcus didn’t dare do it when Viktor was around. This just shows he was more powerful then a hybrid.
He was more powerful in politics, Marcus could've bested him 1 on 1 but would be hunted and killed by his army. That was Marcus before his hybrid transformation. When he turned into his hybrid form, he killed the whole vampire army on his own. That hybrid form made him 2-3X that much stronger, he had been turned hybrid when William was around, I don't think he would've needed Viktor that long.
Marcus is more powerful than Viktor in terms of physical abilities but not political power. He didn't go for William until after he learned Viktor and Amelia are dead since the death dealers and Amelia are loyal only to kill Marcus. Which is also how Viktor was able to take all the power of the coven for himself, rewrote the vampire history to make himself appear the progenitor and forbade anyone from trying to find the truth and banished Tanis(who knew the truth). And Alexander wasn't afraid of Viktor at all. Also Hybrids are stronger than non hybrids. If Michael had combat skill experience he would've killed Viktor
Remember. Victor is the second original Vampire, bitten when Marcus was still in his beginning, when his blood was most potent. With the time, he has grown stronger, to the extent where Lucien dare not challenge him because he knows just how powerful as Elder he is. The plan was to kill him whilst he was still hibernating. Not only has he grown insanely stronger but he was already an experienced and lethal fighter throughout his human time. After acquiring his agelessness, he had nearly 14 centuries to hone his capabilities. Michael only held him off with brute strength and speed. Serene killed him through surprise. Even Lucien only beat him once because he was incapacitated with the sun streaming on him continuously

Viktor was by far the best thing about this movie and the franchise. Hes acting and his command was just amazing. I wrote the creators of underworld explaining that they need to bring back some these old characters. Tell the story between viktor and Marcus There are so many stories you can tell. But were they made there mistake is killing guys off like lucien, Marcus, & viktor. And yes I thought viktor was better than Michael. Just because Michael had wings and looked like a bat. In terms of who was more powerful that’s hard to say. Marcus in Underworld 2 certainly was the more powerful, but that was because he was a Hybrid by that time like Michael. He was pure vampire before his sleep so he would have been closer to Viktor in strength then.
Looking back this movie had a big impact on my teen years. The angst, the borderline-cheesy darkness, a little association with numetal, that era had an effect on me. My sisters were into indie punk music and raving but I have this piece of time for my own.

They definitely could've been more creative with the design of his "WerePyre" form-even in the second movie, but Michael did offer for some cool as hell fight scenes. Due to his lack of training and his still human shape, he fights like a monster in a human's body. I like that.
Victor is the sane, reasonable person in this clip. For all we know michaels transformation might’ve caused a super-werewolf infestation that were stronger and faster then he ended up but also feral, resulting in an infestation that wiped out a large chuck of both human and vampire kind.
I remember being a bit let down when I first saw Michael turn into the hybrid. I guess since they had hyped it up so much throughout the movie, I was expecting something cooler than what we got.

I don't think so, because Michael is a descendant of Alexander Corvinus thats why hes body can tolerate that mutation from both sides, other people can't even a regular lycan mutation, but his descendants yes because of the blooodline I think...

It's kinda messed up because I wanted this to be a series instead and they would have made Michael the fourth leader and give him comtrol of the Lycans. Beside Vampires and Lycans I would have added Seneicans peoples-snakes that can turn their arms, fingers or themselves in to snakes as a third specie. Awesome story. Fight and balance among three tribes and their different views towards human species. It would be gold.
Michael Corvin is so badass my favorite character for a vampire werewolf movie the fact that he’s both vampire and werewolf/lycan and his design in hybrid form is so sick. His daughter Eve is also cool but it’s something about Michael 🔥
Michael was plain boring. He never embraced what he was. After some time, it turned you off as a viewer, looking at someone who is only bitching and moaning that he is now something he never wanted to be. Marcus and Viktor carried this franchise easily.
If Viktor’s grandchild had survived, it would have been the most formidable being ever. William, Marcus, Viktor and Michael wouldn’t stand much of a chance against it.
Michael still would have been stronger. After his daughter Michael is the 2nd most powerful being in the universe, possessing all three strains Vampire, Werewolf and the Corvinus strain being a direct descendant. Victor's child would have been tied probably for 3rd most with Selena. Being a descendant of a vampire elder and a werewolf his hybrid abilities would have been greater than the average wolf/vampire hybrid. But Selene and her cocoon evolution plus being given the Corvinus strain directly making her a hybrid as well. I think she would have been able to beat Victor's grandchild.

The moment it's born is the moment its mother will feel the need to escape in fear for her baby and then it's a possibility that a hybrid apocalypse could start. Viktor valued the benefits of his species over anything else, including the people he cared for. The Lycans were an enemy and a threat to his species, so he did what was necessary for the survival of his people

I wonder how victor would fare against Van Helsing? The all black werewolf that killed Dracula fully transformed vs a 1000+ year old elder vampire. (Although the vampires in this trilogy are a bit weak)
Honestly I think Van would clap Viktor and easily. He took down Dracula with ease. Dracula is several times stronger then Victor. A million times more durable. Not only that but Van tanked hits from Dracula with ease and was manhandling him.

Dracula bested multiple werewolves, Van Helsing was no different. I think every spawn of William would be equal in power to Van Helsing. William being much stronger. Viktor would've lost 1 on 1 vs William, but win against Van Helsing. Vampire's strength come from numbers, that's why they defeated William and his spawn in the first place.
In some ways much better and others worse depending on the individual, some of the things going on today are unbelievably terrible compared to back then.

This franchise is so underrated. I always been a fan of werewolves and vampires and this movie and its sequels does it justice.

Marcus is scared of Viktor. He fears about his brother's safety
Marcus is more powerful than Viktor in terms of physical abilities but not political power. He didn't go for William until after he learned Viktor and Amelia are dead since the death dealers and Amelia are loyal only to kill Marcus. Which is also how Viktor was able to take all the power of the coven for himself, rewrote the vampire history to make himself appear the progenitor and forbade anyone from trying to find the truth and banished Tanis(who knew the truth). And Alexander wasn't afraid of Viktor at all. Also Hybrids are stronger than non hybrids. If Michael had combat skill experience he would've killed Viktor
Remember. Victor is the second original Vampire, bitten when Marcus was still in his beginning, when his blood was most potent.
With the time, he has grown stronger, to the extent where Lucien dare not challenge him because he knows just how powerful as Elder he is. The plan was to kill him whilst he was still hibernating.
Not only has he grown insanely stronger but he was already an experienced and lethal fighter throughout his human time. After acquiring his agelessness, he had nearly 14 centuries to hone his capabilities. Michael only held him off with brute strength and speed. Serene killed him through surprise. Even Lucien only beat him once because he was incapacitated with the sun streaming on him continuously

Viktor was by far the best thing about this movie and the franchise. Hes acting and his command was just amazing. I wrote the creators of underworld explaining that they need to bring back some these old characters. Tell the story between viktor and Marcus There are so many stories you can tell. But were they made there mistake is killing guys off like lucien, Marcus, & viktor. And yes I thought viktor was better than Michael. Just because Michael had wings and looked like a bat. Viktor striked more fear when he talked. Those glaring stares. His walk. The way he carried himself. Like a true elder

To me, underworld means one word=Viktor and I do believe he was stronger than this so-called hybrid Michael, I am willing to aid you as the one who worships vampires and write a scenario where reviving Viktor is possible.
You mean Marcus. He’s the one that had wings not Michael. I do however agree. Marcus may have been the oldest vampire but Viktor was the one all the other vampires respected and feared most. In terms of who was more powerful that’s hard to say. Marcus in Underworld 2 certainly was the more powerful, but that was because he was a Hybrid by that time like Michael. He was pure vampire before his sleep so he would have been closer to Viktor in strength then.
He's also have a submarine, an octopus pet and the love of the sea.

Viktor honestly believed he was doing people a favour by giving them immortality and then enslaving them.
Looking back this movie had a big impact on my teen years. The angst, the borderline-cheesy darkness, a little association with numetal, that era had an effect on me. My sisters were into indie punk music and raving but I have this piece of time for my own.

They definitely could've been more creative with the design of his "WerePyre" form-even in the second movie, but Michael did offer for some cool as hell fight scenes. Due to his lack of training and his still human shape, he fights like a monster in a human's body. I like that.

Victor is the sane, reasonable person in this clip. For all we know michaels transformation might’ve caused a super-werewolf infestation that were stronger and faster then he ended up but also feral, resulting in an infestation that wiped out a large chuck of both human and vampire kind.

Selene bit him and gained that power, for that very reason.
Michael, as a descendant, had the original Corvinus strain that enabled him to become a hybrid.
If he attempted to infect a normal person, or if Selene had suffered a lycan bite at any point before her "ascension", both that person and Selene would die.

It's kinda messed up because I wanted this to be a series instead and they would have made Michael the fourth leader and give him comtrol of the Lycans. Beside Vampires and Lycans I would have added Seneicans peoples-snakes that can turn their arms, fingers or themselves in to snakes as a third specie. Awesome story. Fight and balance among three tribes and their different views towards human species. It would be gold.

Michael was plain boring. He never embraced what he was. After some time, it turned you off as a viewer, looking at someone who is only bitching and moaning that he is now something he never wanted to be. Marcus and Viktor carried this franchise easily.
Billiant movie Underworld.Selene and Michael had unique power and love affection.
If Viktor’s grandchild had survived, it would have been the most formidable being ever. William, Marcus, Viktor and Michael wouldn’t stand much of a chance against it.

Michael still would have been stronger. After his daughter Michael is the 2nd most powerful being in the universe, possessing all three strains Vampire, Werewolf and the Corvinus strain being a direct descendant.
Victor's child would have been tied probably for 3rd most with Selena. Being a descendant of a vampire elder and a werewolf his hybrid abilities would have been greater than the average wolf/vampire hybrid. But Selene and her cocoon evolution plus being given the Corvinus strain directly making her a hybrid as well. I think she would have been able to beat Victor's grandchild.

Seeing how Michael held his own for a while with Viktor, his grandchild would have been more powerful and experienced than Michael, Marcus, William and Viktor after centuries. Selene was more skilled than most Vampires, but she wouldn’t have compared to this hybrid even with her most recent evolution.

@Salik Collins Yes it does mean kill her. In order for the hybrid baby to die, the host has to perish. The moment it's born is the moment its mother will feel the need to escape in fear for her baby and then it's a possibility that a hybrid apocalypse could start. Viktor valued the benefits of his species over anything else, including the people he cared for. The Lycans were an enemy and a threat to his species, so he did what was necessary for the survival of his people
@@laphonz It was not him being afraid of the baby being born or her running off, it was his position of power given by the council. They would withdraw their support if his own daughter birthed a part lycan.

I wonder how victor would fare against Van Helsing? The all black werewolf that killed Dracula fully transformed vs a 1000+ year old elder vampire. (Although the vampires in this trilogy are a bit weak)
Honestly I think Van would clap Viktor and easily. He took down Dracula with ease. Dracula is several times stronger then Victor. A million times more durable. Not only that but Van tanked hits from Dracula with ease and was manhandling him.
@@JmnwGou Only because Dracula was not really fighting. He was only talking and talking, a commonly used tactic when the writers need that character to lose. Dracula bested multiple werewolves, Van Helsing was no different. I think every spawn of William would be equal in power to Van Helsing. William being much stronger. Viktor would've lost 1 on 1 vs William, but win against Van Helsing. Vampire's strength come from numbers, that's why they defeated William and his spawn in the first place.
