@@BrandonBeans Found bug with DJI assistant 2 doesn't show me any updates. But using DJI fly app (update app), then it shows updates for AV2 and Goggles3.
But all those things now that you can add on are still ocul 3 correct with those you probably can’t fly far now with the motion to 2 or the controller 2 correct because they are ocul 3 ?
Oh yeah, that is so annoying. It randomly jumps 1-5 days behind on any given day. Will be looking forward to that included under "Fixed some known issues."
Is it only available to users with registered RC2 controller, etc? Not available as choice for rc3, goggles3, AV2 user with no other previous dji aircraft?
may i ask, in the new firmware of avata 2, a new color assist is added, which is very useful. But if it is used in google with avata 1, can this color display assist function still appear? Or do I need avata 2 google to appear?
That's not something you fix with software. You're yawing into dirty air and the drone doesn't have strong enough motors to fight through it. You have to stick to smooth turns. It's not a freestyle drone.
actually considering the avata now, I mean I have 13 custom drones but somehow I like the fact that it feels safer haha. Waiting for the O4 though so lets hope they will release it
No, it's better to use 50fps and just put it on a 25fps for example, it would still play smoothly. 25fps would be way too choppy for flying (through the goggles)
With Avata 1 and the goggles 2, you needed to connect the goggles to your phone to get RemoteID to work.. With Avata2 now able to use the goggles 2, I assume you need to connect the goggles with the phone again right? It was my understanding that the Avata 2 with the latest goggles, you no longer needed to wire them together.. the remoteID capabilities were embedded in the latest goggles...
That would be correct. The Remote ID compliance of the drone is partially based on the ability of the ground station to record a GPS location and ident. data. Since none of the motion or FPV controllers can do this, it is dependent on the goggles to do so. The goggles Integra and Goggles 3 both have in-built GPS for this purpose, but the Goggles 2 do not. Therefore you will still have to connect your phone if you live in a place where those ridiculous, paranoid laws exist...
@@hchattaway yea but you're not like the rest of the air traffic? As long as you are staying beneath your altitude restriction it shouldn't be a concern because you are separated from all of the manned traffic. What about all of those small subsets of RC aircraft that can't fit a RemoteID module or where doing so would significantly impact performance? Why does a manned paramotor not need to report their position (and they can fly up at higher altitudes) but an RC glider needs a RemoteID module? I fly freestyle quads for fun and all of the RemoteID modules I've seen are a sizable unit hanging off of the back of the quad which would just break or get torn off the first time I crashed at the bando. @@riskybusiness5 What does it update too. There never has been software for the Assistant 2 for the Avata 2. And I still don't see and update on the dji fly app.
@@bmylan DJI Assistant 2 (consumer drone series) is the version that works with Avata1/2. But it was the DJI fly app (after app updated) that allowed me to get the new update.
Perhaps there was a mis-communication about the official firmware release date. DJI won't acknowledge its existence and checking for updates says no update available. Using DJI Assistant 2 for consumer drones, connecting Avata2 and Goggles3 says no updates. Is there an obvious reason they didn’t make it 4k 96 FPS? Seems like that would have been a nice way to add a high framerate option and a way to get 24 FPS without losing frames.
I would prefer they FIRST made the newer O4 superior hardware (Goggles3 and MC3) backward compatible with my O3 drones. This release just makes the Avata2 downgrade itself to O3 transmission hardware. Maybe this update was required on O3 hardware, before they can release backward compatibility 🤷♂
I really hope this isn't a sign that goggles 3/ remote 3 will remain locked permanently. I bought an A2 to learn on and eventually move up to a bind and fly or build kit. The goggles 3 being a relay for the controller's internal antenna has me a bit worried this generation of hardware won't be as widely compatible as the last one was.
Unfortunately given that the V2s use a much older image transmission protocol and have technically be completely discontinued since well before the Avata 2s launch, it is somewhat unlikely. Although, who really ever knows with DJI, maybe we'll get lucky?
