I like paying only $20 and getting a physical cart with case and manual. When you start backing out the cost, there’s very little left for license acquisition and hardware optimization. While you always want more, I’m happy with seven games. Better than adding more game and making compromises somewhere.
Wardner was a favourite of mine as a kid visiting clacton arcades - exactly the type of forgotten gems I love having an Evercade for.

I loved it so much I bought the arcade PCB many years ago. It’s the only way to play the game without using emulation. I’m looking forward to getting this on Evercade. I know it’s emulated but it’ll be a nice way to play it officially without digging the PCB out.
Give me 7 TOAPLAN games instead of 100 C64 games any day.
It's quality not quantity that counts.
Now if it was 7 quality C64 games I'd definitely choose them. But not 100 average to poor games.
Like the look of rally bike reminders me of a mastertronic game called BMX racers on the C16 enjoying the videos thumbs up 🙂 👍

I’d buy this for a legitimate way to play Rally Bike alone. Love that game! Love my shooters too and these are some classics. Will be all over this! Good work on the video too. Really enjoyed watching!
Thanks Steve! I definitely need a bit of practice with Rally Bike. Full Throttle doesn't seem like the best technique.
Just catching up on videos after being away. As always I appreciate these preview videos as they give me an idea whether or not I want the cart and whether I should be excited or not. For this one I think there are enough good shooters for me to enjoy it but with it being so similar I can't say I'm excited. I hope they don't wait until April for the next announcement
I think we have more than enough shooters now. Problem with this collection is that a lot of them are very similar. Can't deny the quality though. Agree hopefully we get more reveals soon. Far too many gaps between announcements. I mean they pretty much know what's coming, so why the long waits?
@@CrazyBurger yeah I agree. Don’t get me wrong I’m still trying to get through Mega Man X snd Strider but the C64 and Toaplan were too samey to recent releases to get excited about.
Anyone who has played Sunset Riders will note the similarity to this with Demons World. Both games immensely playable despite the content differing, the mechanics look very similar
Toaplan knows how to make a shoot em up
Shmups are great on this cart they just need to get cave and raizing signed up now and hope they can get some pinball games like some of the new indie ones demon tilt would be nice and there new game xenotilt.
I had Wardner on the Sega Genesis and that game was tough!
Yeah its annoyingly frustrating at times.. not sure what to make of it yet.
rally bike is advanced version of traverse more or less, wardner top game use fairies in front of you to destroy the enemy

fun fact Fire Shark is called Same! Same! Same! in japan, maybe this explains why it's so samey. :)

@@CrazyBurger I can see where you are coming from, but I have to admit I really love shooters especially ones from Toaplan.
I'll probably buy this cart just for Twin Cobra, it's a game I've wanted to get for the Megadrive for a while but it's quite expensive so I'm really happy to see it on the Evercade.
My only wish would have been for them to include Truxton 2 and Grind Stormer on this cart.
@@absinthe4breakfast299 Ah, I forgot about Truxton II.. I suspect that they've not included it due to emulation issues.. it didn't play great last time I tried it.

Which version of HellFire though? The Megadrive version is harder,adds a laser super weapon you can collect and your ship changes colour each firing mode and becomes a checkpoint based game.
Warner is the same the Megadrive version called Wardner Special/wardner added new Bosses to each stage when they was none in the Arcade oroginal. The Genesis cart works on european Megadrives too and no European cart was made.
Not sure.. I just checked the Megadrive Mini 2 and the original Hellfire is definitely there.
I love Wardner looks and it looks off here. Can't tell exactly from this other than the greenery but seems not quite the same. I need to hear the sounds & music better because that I know well. Hope they didn't alter this or put some other version that's not the arcade on this. I also hope it has some good scanlines because the game looks funny & not so good with a clean image. Wardner isn't very long and I remember running through the whole game on 1 quarter back in the early 90's. Once you learn the level layouts, it's easy to do a full run which I did pretty quick when I first played it because I watched others do it a few times before trying. Being young helps I guess but even being older it shouldn't be too hard. Enjoying it may depend on having nostalgia though. If you don't like the some of the sounds, probably not gonna enjoy the game much. I myself love the sounds but probably largely because of nostalgia.
I’m glad I trusted my instincts. Those overhead shooters all seem the same. Kinda wasted opportunity not to show something different in their place?! That long distance motorcycle game looks quite interesting though? You not gonna like what I have to say about the c64 Collection 2 though! 😂
Lol 😆 I'm currently working through the c64 stuff right now.. I think we might agree on it..
Again, the asking price is not crazy so it helps sell this compilation... But I am with you, I can and I will pass on this one!
Wondner looks like a cheap rip off of Ghouls and Ghost where your only weapon is the flame.
