It means youll be able to absorb more force specifically how you will actually be jumping, as well as significantly decreasing your risk of achilles rupture. Keep up the great work bro was awesome to see your progress.
10000% this version hes doing for the depths are very risky on the Achilles tendons. A ton of force is placed on it in an over extended position where as the other way maintains the ankle joint at 90° or a little more ideally
I really appreciate the longer review. When it comes to strength improvement, a week is just about always too little so this was great. On the jumping aspect, I hear you doing a lot of leg work, but no mention of calves specifically. I did a ton of calf raises and credit it highly with improving my jump height and getting able to dunk. You should give it a try.
I did ATG for 10 months, then my own take for another 8. I could jump my highest at that time. I found that my jumps improved without even training jumps by doing: Sled Push-Pull, 3x 50m each: Goblet jumps with 40 lbs, 2 sets of 10, ATG split squats, 2 sets of 10 each leg with 90 lbs, calf jumps, 1 set of 50. (just use your calves to jump up). I did other things as well, but I think these are the essence of what made me jump higher.
I think you'd be able to dunk a tennis ball if you had better jump technique. You're messing up your penultimate step 1 step earlier. During your left right two-step jumper, you did the penultimate step BEFORE that with your left foot, so you pushed off hard on your left, stretched, but then ended up pushing with your right in small stutter steps resulting in a short 1-2 afterwards. The correct form is to just run normally and push off your RIGHT foot and stretch that left leg FAR into the left-right one two, and the second foot should be in front of the first. This helps transfer your running momentum vertically much more efficiently.
@unitgamex2972 Depending on how heavy it is you would just straight up drown. Muscularly dense creatures already have a harder time swimming so this guy who's clearly muscular plus the additional weight would likely sink to the bottom. Depending on the pool and if he panics it could easily lead to drowning.
You should look into jumping techniques for dunking. Your power seems fine, so with the right technique I think you'll easily dunk a ball. You want to take a big step with one leg, then put your second leg close to it and a bit up front, and use the momentum to jump high. Jumping with 2 feet at the same time doesn't take your momentum too much into height.

Jump-rope is one of the best cardio you can do. Nothing really beats it in terms of muscles hit and "calorie-burn to time" ratio. And you can even do it in your own small yard if you cant leave home.
Btw there is one Russian guy Egor pupinin, he's jumping much and once tried to add some weights before jump and by adding 1kg he's lost 2cm of jump height
This reminds me of Rock Lee and Goku training in weights from childhood and then when they took the weights off nobody could keep up with them. Well ok, folks could still keep up with Rock Lee because he had no powers, but still.
Your heels collapsing when you do drop jumps is defeating the purpose of the depth jump. As soon as your heel touches the ground you lose tension in the Achilles tendon which is responsible for a majority of your jumping ability

a future challenge idea you should do is to only eat when your stomach actually growls for food
Hey look! It's Hollister Overeem!
so how are you balancing your weight training with plyometrics?
I was waiting for a dragon ball z reference. Great video
I wonder what would it look like if you tried out a full bodyweight suit. I know that CodysLab has been wearing a copper chainmail shirt for quite a while now, and I believe he said it was half his bodyweight or full bodyweight? I am not too familiar, but anywho, what I am trying to say is I wonder if you could workout in chainmail! That'd be so sick! You could go for a funny viking scene at one point.
Miss ur flip tutorials!

Where it all started
Ima wear a suit of 3 inch thick tungsten knights armor to football practice
what resources do you use to research and implement better mechanics? i would like to run and jump better
Video idea: Towel Biting neck crunches. Do they do anything more than neck lifts with a weight on the back of your head, or doing neck bridges? Do they do anything for your jaw or teeth?
This would be good for hiking 👍 unless you load up a back pack

You should do an 80 pound weighted vest
Bro might be the main character
Sometimes i think i just click on these videos for the 'you gotta focus part' and while i am it i just finish the video

i'm no expert, but a popping sound followed by pain in the leg could be a symptom of a burst spinal disc

Jump-rope is one of the best cardio you can do.
Nothing really beats it in terms of muscles hit and "calorie-burn to time" ratio.
And you can even do it in your own small yard if you cant leave home.
Btw there is one Russian guy Egor pupinin, he's jumping much and once tried to add some weights before jump and by adding 1kg he's lost 2cm of jump height
if you wanna dunk look into some jumping technique. You could probably gain 3 or so inches just by fixing your approach
can any one tell me the exact name of the company that has made the suit he is wearing
This reminds me of Rock Lee and Goku training in weights from childhood and then when they took the weights off nobody could keep up with them. Well ok, folks could still keep up with Rock Lee because he had no powers, but still.
Niiiice project dunk!!!
@pigmie im sure if u learn the penultimate step u could actually increase ur vert
Your heels collapsing when you do drop jumps is defeating the purpose of the depth jump. As soon as your heel touches the ground you lose tension in the Achilles tendon which is responsible for a majority of your jumping ability
you should try learning how to do a proper penultimate step to increase your approach jump height
Bro should visit a dunk coach
That would be a good video
They should sponsor you for that suit
Don’t worry I got it. “ BUT YOU GOTTA FOCUSSSSSSSSSSSSSS”
This is like hidden chainmail armor
Insane this dude has millions of subs. This is a 400k channel
