I was looking up Rhodium Ore when I stumbled across your Adventures with Otter.....I love going out into the forest with the rivers, looking at rocks , panning, swimming ......whatever......sitting looking up at the stars with a make shift tent by the River is the best. I love your precious Otter, that"s the perfect name for him. I think your personality is a breath of fresh air and you and Otter are the ultimate team. I got 2 chiweenies, love them more than most humans. lol keep up the good work with the awesome adventures, hope you find that blue agate your looking for. I too write, wrote a childrens poem book.....long time ago now Title was (A Maze of Poems) I have a beautiful rock that is full of Rhodium, platinum, gold, cobalt and Titanium.....Its a Archean Conglomerate from the crust of the earth, basically a fossil. Anyway.....Ill be watching your next adventure, wonder where it will be????

Washington has no shortage of cool minerals and a few places u can find some really good blue agit thanks for the vid I allwase take several screenshots before I go prospecting or hunting it is a big help if u loose service and want to know wair u are or wair u want to go

I lived on a ranch in Oklahoma for a while, and one day, one of the owners brought home some Buffalo Jerky and the dogs went crazy and could even smell it when it was in a glass container. They really went beserk when they could smell it because they wanted it so bad!

I want to get into rockhounding and I have been watching your videos and a lot of other TH-camrs. I have a question?
Why is it that rock Hunters seem to fixate on Agates? I just don't understand what the fascination is over other rocks? I see some rockhounders go to beaches where there's lots of different rocks but they only are looking for agates? I'm honestly just confused can you help answer my question?
Hello 🙂 i'm excited to hear that you are interested in rockhounding its alot of fun. I think that most rockhounds love all rocks but maybe its because agates are a happy medium between very common rocks and hard to find rocks . So its easier to find them and makes for a more fun hunt. Kinda like when your fishing and there are lots of fish in the lake. But I'm just guessing lol great question 🙂

Yes sir, cool video. So just wondering when looking up creek from the bridge were you on that little creek on the left? My wife, son, and i went up there probably right around the end of winter. We found like maybe a total of 3-4 in like 3 hours or so. I like watching your videos on your cool lil adventures around the PNW. Thanks again for sharing. Peace

I'm an idiot and only use google maps, I can download for offline and it doesn't cost a thing, I am sure there's better out there, but it's offline so if I am out there and and have nothing at least I have that, I've heard of gia it's supposed to be pretty good cost yearly though.

@@WillBrownart I live in the Snoqualmie valley. Not sure how far you are from me, but I'm up for meeting up sometime. CurrentlyRockhounding is a channel from another Washingtonian from the Eastern part of the state. We'll probably sync up one day since my wife and I love traveling to central and close to eastern WA for rockhounding adventures. This past summer, we spent a lot of time traveling up Hwy 97 and stopping at road-cuts and old mine tailing piles. I've got buckets full of all kinds of material of which I've only been able to scratch the tip of the iceberg with cutting and tumbling.

There are Salmon berrys around for sure but the devils club is alot bigger with larger thorns and leaves 🙂 thanks for the comment my friend 😀
Salmon berry is just an annoying thorn. Devils club while a great plant from a distance, can take years for the thorns to come out. They have barbs that make them “travel” deeper and deeper. I worked in habitat restoration and I wasn’t the only person I knew to have thorns that took years to get out.
