Yours is probably one of the best reactions on this song...and you didn't even do the "official music video" that dramatizes the story for the viewer...awesome reaction video.
You're one of the only reactors I've seen that picked up on the "judge under the seat" line and knew what he was referring to. Kudos to you on that. This is going to be a song talked about for years to come.
I actually don't think they are referring to the .410 taurus pistol but rather the way justice was rendered. Either way its an incredible song, i knew that the first time I heard it in August.
@@larsjohansson3425 not what I meant, yes a pistol under the seat was the judge and jury. This guy is referring to model of pistol, and its not even a Taurus judge 5 shot .410 in the video.
So the judge revolver is a 410 pistol but also shoots a 45 colt so it could be referring to the actual revolver as well as being a double meaning for the judge and jury.
@@francoisa5656 It's amazing how much a song can do to us isn't it? I did it the wrong way and thought this was just another song when I stumbled upon another reaction video. I watched that instead of listening to the song myself first. But the impact was huge nonetheless. I kept listening to Hardy's song and Give Heaven some Hell actually brought me to tears.
Yes Lainey Wilson cleaned up at the CMAs. Also the Patty Loveless with Chris Stapleton number was super. And our man Marcus King crushed his solo with the Zac Brown band. Best country awards show in some time.
Mike, you did exactly what I did when I first heard this song! Just Wait in the Truck is probably the BEST new song that I have heard in Y E A R S!! You were very correct in NOT trying to play while it was playing...YOU did it justice in that; I could see you holding back throughout the song...We musicians all want to get into the song if we can, that's our problem, but says a LOT about the song. And YES, it brought emotional tears to my eyes, TOO.
This is a great tune..... And the music video will give you chills.....I don't think the performance was over dramatic at all.....I think they were in a zone and played to the emotion of the song.... Best performance of the night from the CMAs if you ask me
Ohhh, man…this struck a chord as I watched this on the awards show. I cried my way through it, hard memories! As two new-to-me artists, this one really touched me. 🙏🏻
People discount Hardy because he's been involved with a bunch of pop country like FGL but he's a tremendous songwriter and he can sing his ass off too.
Hardy is an amazing songwriter. He actually went to college for songwriting. And believe it or not, one critique from his debut album was that his lyrics were too descriptive. Hard to believe you can fault someone for being a great writer and storyteller.
This is in my opinion the best country song story of all times. I must have listened to it a hundred times and don't get tired of it. Whoever rebuked Hardy for his talent is probably just jealous. Like the story of the old man, the donkey, and the young boy, you can't please everybody.
@@roystoltzfus8919 can't agree more. I've just discovered this song recently too but have listened to it countless times already. I felt that this song is so much more than just a song. It feels like the song is alive and by listening to it I get to interact with it, wrestle with it, reflect on my life, the world, my family. It brings me to a different world, awakens me, and reminds me of God.
This song is a prime example of why I enjoy your channel so much. Its not just the guitar knowledge, this is a pretty simple song with just a couple cords. But the fact that you enjoy and break down the story telling and heart of the lyrics. I can see it in your eyes when you are enjoying a song for what it is.
This is real country song. Country music at it's best. Good Ole Boys can go badass sometimes. My first time hearing this was on the award show last week.
i think the whole arrangement is fantastic.. from the drop tuning, and dropping the Low e a full step,, then the steady rumble of the band ,,just enough to set the "mood" of the lyrics..help tell the story.. two huge talents,,
and if you want the best performance of the night at the cma's you HAVE to watch patty loveless and chris stapleton perform "you'll never leave harlan alive" absolute goosebumps
Incredible song. Saw him do it live in Los Angeles. Goosebumps and every hair on my arms standing up. Lainey is phenomenal; saw her live in Vegas opening for Aldean. I’m forever a fan of them both and this song is responsible.
Hardy is a bad ass! Mixes in some rock with country and is literally the best songwriter in town. Him and his band do a kick ass cover of Blurry he released last year! Worth a listen!
Great video as always! Just wanted to drop a general note: your reaction videos are priceless inside of how professional musicians translate thoughts & emotions into music. Very inspiring and motivational to a beginner like myself, please don't ever stop :) Greetings from Poland :)
@Michael Palmisano I am clearly very late to this gig of yours! Holy moly, I just watched this on the awards, tore me up! Thank you for what you do here- This was my second video of yours, I had just watched your Chris Stapleton and Justin Timberlake video 🫢😮 Incredible! I immediately wondered what the heck I had spent my entire internet life watching when I could have been watching you! I am convinced this is all the internet I will ever need now, lol! Seriously, what you are doing here, that’s IT for me. I’m ruined. 😁
I first found her about a year ago…and really like her voice and songs. She did well at the CMA’s…I’m happy for her. But this performance is spine tingling! She can sell it!!!
Michael thank you for the great reaction. I heard this song for first time two days ago and I have been obsessed with it. Such an amazing song. Great writing and vocals! Kudos to both Wilson and Hardy. ❤❤❤🔥🔥🔥🔥
The best TH-cam channel out there. You seem like one of the most down-to-earth dudes ever. If you ever end up in the Midwest for some reason, first beer is on me!
I saw this reaction in my feeds and as I love this song I am always looking for different reactions to it, your reaction by far is different then I am used to seeing, and I love it. Very good way of pushing your guitar knowledge while also hitting key points in the lyrics. Definitely subbed
Hardy is a great story teller. Some of his songs are tongue in cheek, some have multiple layers that reveal themselves a little more each time you listen, and some are like this one, as clear as glass. He’s written hits for many A list entertainers, and seems not to give an iota about breaking genre boundaries. He’s been in the background writing hit songs for other artists for years and then he decided he wanted to play his music himself. Has a smokin’ band, too !
Been watching for a few years, used to play in a youth service church band on the acoustic, trying to pick up electric now. however, would love to see alot more of country or at least rock country aka texas red dirt country especially since there are alot of live videos of performances online. Favorite part of the channel is watching the interaction w the band bc thats the part i loved.
Outstanding song. Michael did the video justice in commentary and breaking down the texture of musical layers. Also, his deviation away from stopping and starting really drove home the seriousness of the song and enjoying artistry uninterrupted
I think its awesome this is supposed to be a guitar tutorial but you get so engulfed in the lyrical genius and storytelling you cant help but react to the song
This performance video is amazing. Your reaction is spot on. The story takes on a whole new level of you watch the official music video. It's amazing cinematically.
I'm so glad I subscribed you are so heartfelt. I don't play an instrument but your reaction is unbelievable. I listened to the tribute done by the foofighters and knew you were special. Ty so much for your heart...great reaction.❤👍

You said that new country gets a bad rap and I understand there has been stuff over the last few years that is not good. I feel like country is in good hands right now and it’s going to keep getting better.
Y’all don’t sleep on Lainey Wilson either, she’s a hell of a song writer and plays guitar and everything too. Not to mention she’s got the voice of a southern angel on top of that. Dirty looks and Dreamcatcher are songs she’s written that are pretty damn good

Hardy is such a great songwriter, his story telling is just amazing. Guy deserves more credit
Bank of America is giving out credit cards like crazy.
He has written some great songs and some embarrassingly cheesy songs.

Only two things make me cry the movie Rudy and this song !
"Wait in the Truck" has to be the most country music title ever. Listening to the lyrics the jokes write themselves. Murica!
