I went to the ER 14 times for crushing chest pain that came on without physical exertion. I could be reading a book or watching TV and start having chest pain. The ER doctors kept telling me it wasn't my heart. They said it was "a pulled muscle" or "heart burn". Well, I ended up having a heart attack and got three stents. If you are having chest pain please take it seriously.

I was in the emergency room the other day for 8 hours thinking that I was having a heart attack. I'm 51 years old. They took two EKGs blood work and x-rays and they said that I was perfectly fine. I think it could be due to cold weather hormones and stress. But it's absolutely terrifying.

I am 57 years old, male, and I have been having similar symptoms for off and on for a while now. I am also status post microdiscectomy x 3 (twice in 2013, once in 2014) and have been dealing with nerve pain since then, doing my best to manage it with exercising, stretching, etc. For the past year, left sided sciatica has been a nightmare, and the chest tightness happens occasionally. Walking or laying down has always helped it, until recently when the bouts of chest tightness have lasted longer. Last weekend because the chest pain persisted I went to my local hospital ER, had a CT of the brain, of the abdomen, xray of the chest, EKG, and 12 hour monitoring of the heart. BP was slightly elevated, EKG and heart monitoring were unremarkable. After having discussed this with my cardiologist I am having a stress test tomorrow. Previous stress tests have shown my heart to be in good shape. Here is where things get a little interesting, at least for me. The chest tightness was irking me a bit yesterday, so I went through my usual stretching routine. I lay on my back and do leg raises with straps to increase flexibility, and in doing so I noticed that on left leg raise, I could finally tell that there seemed to be a relation to lifting the leg while lying on my back and the tendons/muscles on the left side of my chest where the pain is. I then did the right leg raise and noted the same feel of tendon/muscle on the right side of my chest, and that's when it dawned on me to google back pain radiating to the left chest and I come across things like cervical angina. So I see this pod that's being used in this video and thinking I'll order one, but before doing so I look for my pure wave massager (this is not an advertisement LOL), and I use it on the areas of the back that these guys are using the pod, and after using it for a good 20 minutes while laying down on my stomach, the chest pain actually subsided. I am NOT making this up. I had relief for about an hour, and it did start to come back, so I used the Pure Wave Massager again for a good 15-20 minutes this time while sitting upright in my chair and the pain again subsided. I wake up this morning and I am actually feeling an extended period of relief. I do think that my chest tightness has increased recently because I was in the gym a lot more and think this may have contributed to the chest pain. Note I say "may have." I also haven't been in the gym for the past 3 weeks because of the chest pain but now feel I can resume going back. I may still buy the pod, but if anyone has the pado massager or something similar I suggest giving it a try to see if it brings relief. I am also going to go for some massage therapy (I used to get monthly swedish massages a few years ago).
I hope my words are of some measure of help to some of you. I also admit to being overweight and know I need to drop a good 25-30 lbs. and will really work on that. Some stretches I recommend are yoga stretches (google Rohini Manohar), look at videos by the AthleanX guys, of course Bob & Brad, and the McKenzie Method stretches. I've incorporated some of the techniques of all of them to suit my personal needs, it's all about trial and error.
But as many have said, take that chest pain seriously and get it checked out. Even with the relief I am finally feeling, I am still getting my stress test tomorrow.

So a big reason why many walk out without a diagnos of a "heart attack" is because they the limits of how big of a damaged is needed to set the diagnosis.
The limits are being looked at and many many that walk out without having had a "heart attack" will in the future get the diagnosis of having had a micro heart attack.

Another common cause of chest pain which is usually associated with the thoracic pain especially in the spine could be
Anterior Thoracic Syndrome. This condition is usually caused by a slippage or displacement fixating one or more thoracic vertebrae downward. It's usually diagnosed by the pattern of pain and midpoint tenderness of the spinous processes involving the levels of slippage. Certain isolation or pressure tests can also be utilized to produce leg-length inequalities due to spinal reflexes. But either way I always follow the strong recommendations of Drs. Brad and Bob. Seek emergency medical care promptly to rule out cardiovascular, pulmonary, gastrointestinal causes. If none are present and seek the the services of a musculoskeletal expert. These would include orthopedist chiropractors, physical therapist, or physiatrists. Please know it's best to recruit a doctor of physical therapy doctors Brad and Bob if at all possible. I make these recommendations based on my experience as retired chiropractor with 20 years of field experience

I just went to thru this. I’m still getting tested but I went from thinking it’s costochondritis to cervical angina because I have disc issues from an old car accident. C-4 effects anterior chest. Originally I was rushed to the emergency room because I thought I was having a heart attack and the nurse tech mention costochondritis but I also had the neck pain and since I had the herniation and bulging discs from c3-c6 i’m now thinking that maybe it is cervical angina how would you differentiate between the two conditions and are they related to each other as well? I’m also a massage therapist and thought how could I not know what’s going on but it’s true when you’re experiencing it yourself it’s a little bit harder to be objective.

I just had an ECG which I was told came back normal, however when speaking to a nurse friend he said my symptoms sound like Angina. So I'll be meeting with my Dr to see what I gotta do to deal with this. I'm 42, served 16 years in the military and I feel so limited. I can't do too much or it triggers the pain, but it also gets triggered if I over stretch as well, meaning reaching for something that's too far, or even like reaching behind my back. I hope it can get controlled cause it makes me not want to do anything.

Hello. I was diagnosed with angina in 2018. I was also 18 years old. I’ve still been having chest pains to this day. (I’m 21 now) I’ve been thinking about joining the army but I’m afraid the strenuous activities might cause me harm. If I change my diet and workout often before training, would that be ok? Please respond/advice. Thank you.

I'm having weak chest pains near the left armpit, 3-5 times a day. Only lasting 2-3 minutes at a time, when i exercise it lasts a little longer. Are these Angina symptoms?

I think this maybe what my problem is. I'm not even sure why I was diagnosed with angina in 2019. When going to the emergency room there was no sign of the enzyme that actually causes the stroke but yet I had all the symptoms chest, neck, shoulder and arm pain. Two years before I had been running a mile almost every day eating right cutting salt cutting sugar. Now I suffer from pain every day I cant work due to the extreme pain. The only thing I can take for the pain is nitroglycerin and I worry every day that the pain actually might cause a heart attack. What can I do to change this.

  • @therelaxationstation5258
    @therelaxationstation5258 ปีที่แล้ว

Angina normally is caused by the veins in the heart being blocked by a clot or cholesterol causing a lack of blood to the heart. Get checked by a cardiologist first and then if it’s absolutely not cardiac in a nature then try this.

Is this part of the Skeletal / Muscular Problem you guys were talking about? Is this Popping/Crackling of the Chest normal? Please help! Thank you guys. I have had chest pain off and on for the last 15 years. That is provoked and made worse by exertion.
The pain is on the left side on my chest like a needle type pain. I get pressure and gas in the area. I would be burping the whole day. I get dizzy and fatigued. The pain never goes to the arms, neck, back or jaw. Everytime I tell the different doctors that I have seen all seem puzzled when I mention I get lots of belching they tell me its not heart related because the pain would not be focused on one spot.
I have had 3 nuclear stress test, 1 catscan for the lung, 1 non-nuclear stress stress, blood work, ekgs, echo and all came back normal! Which is great!
I have changed my diet, gave up red meat, fruits and vegetables. Dont smoke or drink.
But Im still not sure whats causing my chest pain. I cant exercise because it makes it worse. I really dont know.
