This is the happiest Cihangir ever seems to be to see his mother, and as a child he seemed very connected to her indeed. His blind faith in Mustafa really soured their relationship.
Fatma shouldn't told that to mihrimah 😂 she is not that power hungry, she has more power than every women in there that time, her tears can kill people and she loves and loyal to her mother and father 💃
I love both actresses who played Hurrem. Meryem best represents Hurrem the feisty, young concubine who locked horn with anyone blocking her way to Suleiman. Vahide, the mature Hurrem who, though still cunning as before, learned how to keep her cards closer to her chest plus she also learned to control her temper.
People are blaming Hurrems, Mustafa, Ibrahim etc. I guess it was all game set by suleman himself. He was playing with everyone using the fear of his fathers's time and his sweat words.
Exactly I been waiting for someone to also point this out. The mark of a great ruler at this time, manipulation. The Prince was written less then 100 years before, and every great ruler read it.
It would be interesting to see what Ibrahim would be like had he lived during the time of fully grown Şehzades, would he be as loyal to the Sultan as he claimed to be, or would he be like Rüstem and try to limit the Şehzade/s he dislikes? Because as we know, Ibrahim lived during Suleiman's peak years and there was no question over loyalty to him. Unlike the 1540s and 50s
@@SexhatClhxlhxyoxylyou're right. He already started to change his allegiance to mustafa when the young hureem was around and gave birth to four sons and a daughter. Then when suleyman freed and made hureem his official wife he changed his loyalty to mustafa and went behind suleyman's back to help mustafa .... serving two masters at the same time as well as built his own wealth and power base. Because he like all of suleyman's sisters thought that hureem was alone and easy target to get rid of.
Suleiman didnt love hurrem as mush as she did..to the point of worshipping If only he punished his sisters& concubines harshly enough just like he did to hurrem..hurrem would have been saved from many cruelties..but no...he chose to ignore their crimes while keep punishing hurrem for even a slight mistake This is not love

I agree. They started off great (though for then Alexandra it was more of a means to survive and thrive rather than love at first sight). He was enchanted for sure, she fell for his charms too but can there ever be a true love if your "love" is in fact your literal owner that keeps you prisoner and has the power to discard/banish/kill you at his whim? It wasn't known back then but I totally agree with you; she was a TEXTBOOK Stockholm Syndrome sufferer, in every way. Did the writers even realise? And the viewers who keep swooning over S/H "great love"? To me, it was obvious right from the start and as years (in their lives) passed, as a couple they were quite painful to watch. Additionally, with each passing year less and less remained from the Suleiman that strived to be magnificent and just. Near his end, there was nothing left of his initial wisdom, humility, fairness and gestures of honest good will. It was still good to watch (because of the actor's enormous talent) but he was stuck up, severe, incredibly unjust and borderline pathetic.

Mustafa and Cihangir were right, it was better for Suleiman to go west rather than East. The Persians were known for their cowardice tactics, and the west was still filled with strife and inferiority under the Ottomans. Suleiman could've destroyed Vienna and reached even further than Rome, and be named the undisputed greatest Sultan with Mustafa taking second place. Unfortunately, statesmen like Rüstem would rather lose a great opportunity for the Empire than allowing an opposing Şehzade to have his way...

I CANT ACCEPT THIS VERSION OF HURREM THEY BEGAN WITH MERYAM OVERLY AND SHOULD OF STAYED WITH HER ITS NO GOOD SWITCHING NOW FOR DISGRACEFUL REASONS ( MERYAM HAD A BABY OUT OF WEDLOCK SO THEY REPLACED HER). 😢
The real reason is that she wanted to be out of the series because she had a burnout. Turkish TV industry has incredibly long work hours and she’s from Germany, so she got extremely tired. The working conditions in many industries are so harsh in Turkey, that the term “burnout” was only heard for the first time by many in Turkey with her leave (like TVs were constantly talking about “what the burnout syndrome is”. Not much to do with her kid outside marriage, even though that also put some media pressure on her. Not too much of an extraordinary thing in big cities of Turkey.
Exactly the Turkish tabloids ripped Meryem to shreds, she was treated so unfairly by the Turkish media. It's sad she had a break down due to her treatment and left the show.
No disrespect to the actress I just think they aged her up too much and she didn't look anything at all like the first one. It's like they changed the whole personality of the charactor and I could just never really get past it. While the first one was fluid in her movements and manorism this one was just way too stiff.
We should say she become mature and control her movement. I was thinking like you untill saw older Hurrem comes to Sumbul Agha's house after he retired. The actress really resemble younger hurrem. Well from that im always suprised this series casting team always gave us talented actor who really resemble each other. Like ibrahim's daugthers or young Hafsa sultan
This is literally how fast her race ages though. let’s not pretend like it’s anything else with her genetics and the abuses she suffered - she was never going to Weather it very well. My own mother is pure European with a heavy Slavic ancestry, and she aged just as fast in our materially soft modern era coupled with the abuses my father leveled at her.
@@TimTheEnchanter0 Aging is genetics to a certain extent and how you take care of yourself the king of life you lead, what you eat and how much sun exposure and how much hard labor you do. I think we can having to cover up all the time (no sun exposure and living in a palace with no manual daily chores to do would help delay ageing. Then she had 5 kids and other stresses so it's hard to say. I still think a less stark difference in actresses would have been better but the first actress was a hard act to follow in any case.
