    Great video. Just got back into RC Crawlers about a year ago. Your detail in verbally explaining and video have been extremely helpful. As a machinist, I agree on spending the extra money on the tools that count (hex drivers). One tool that I use a lot is a small drift pin. Useful in aligning holes or temporarily holding two parts together. An O-ring pick works great for this and usually comes with multiple tips. Keep up the great work. Thanks.

      I typically just use a little pick that I have laying around, but there is always a better tool out there!

    I use CorrosionX for all my waterproofing. It's super good and easy to apply. Don't have to take anything apart. Might want to check it out. But good recommendations with the tools. Loved the video

    The silver/black nut drivers, I bought a similar set on Amazon for only $12. I also picked up an iFlight tool carrier for only $7. Amazon is a really inexpensive place for rc tools. Also the bargain bin at like Walmart, Lowe's, and Home Depot are a good spot too.

    Great tool guide Troy. I use some old tooth brushes and knuckle brushes to clean dirt and mud from tires and frames. Harbor Freight has freebies on the magnetic parts trays pretty regularly. Thanks for the video, lots of good tips here.

    I would recommend a file, and some screw extractors as well. I think a variety of drill bits and hole reamer are also very necessary for any number of things. I also have taps for when i need to fix threads or fabricate something that will need threads. A lot of times i will increase the diameter of holes in certain areas to make it stronger. For instance, the small bolts in the front axles on the Super Rock Rey that bolt the plastic sliders to the metal universals, i drill them out and fit a bigger bolt. Ive had them break when i tried to change the sliders.

    I wish rc's would start having square head screws, I like square heads cause they're less likely to strip out, in my experience at least

    • @RoadsideRC
      @RoadsideRC  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have had good luck with square heads building stuff around the house. I sometimes struggle with making sure I have the right bit, but otherwise, they seem STRONG.
