Toronto Pearson gold heist: Ontario man arrested at airport after arriving from India

- An Ontario man is facing charges in connection with the largest gold heist in Canadian history at Toronto Pearson airport last year.
Archit Grover, 36, from Brampton, was arrested on Monday after arriving on a flight from India, Peel Regional Police said in a new release Thursday.
His arrest comes after Peel police, along with the Philadelphia Field Division of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, announced five arrests in the case in April.
Kayla McLean reports on the arrest and the latest details on the investigation.

Canada doesn’t deport Canadian nationals even if they are terrorists , besides as a Canadian citizen he has to face Canadian law which is a cake walk.
Canada has a long list of extradition requests pending that includes the slain Najjar, the so-called plumber activist. I wonder if your NDP leader would be happy to deport his pals.
India is no fool to accept the criminals that Canada willfully imported for political reasons before it honours the pending extradition requests.

Canada needs to tighten their international student visa program especially for India.
Criminals from that country are taking advantage of it to get into Canada and leech off it's already weak economy.

Particularly people from punjab region. Indian is a huge country having 1.4 billion people, punjabis are barely 1% of Indian population but accounts for 50% of indian immigrants to Canada and 90% of crimes that are committed by Indian origins are from punjab. The government should start rejecting visas of people from punjab or anybody who presents punjabi documents such as degrees, birth certi etc, just in case they change their address in India.

As for the police, they are capable of anything when they have decided on the guilt of a suspect. You saw what they did to that fellow who they charged for murder and the court found him not guilty and the judge said he should not of been charged in the first place.
