    I love the implication that GO-TO watched the Star Wars equivalent of Goodfellas/The Godfather and just based the hologram's personality around that.

      Until he finds out about the Death Star. He would have criticized something like that extensively. Massive waste of credits and manpower. Also, he would have disliked the Emperor for his Sith mysticism. He'd probably have preferred Vader being in charge (since Vader really does only care about peace and order) or Thrawn. Tarkin would have irritated G0-T0 beyond belief.

  • @trisramhughes9935
    @trisramhughes9935 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    6:06 interesting that he doesn’t seem to be against the Sith. The Sith philosophy tends to promote constant infighting by nature and so would make the Republic less stable, plus people like Malak being in charge would be extra detrimental. Suppose the Jedi have their fair share of fuck-ups lately too given that Malak and Revan were ex-Jedi and the order mostly ignored the Mandalorian war.

      A sith republic could maintain an equilibrium and isn't one of the lessons of kotor that stagnation and passivity is vulnerability?

    • @trisramhughes9935
      @trisramhughes9935 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@jessl1934 There is very little to suggest it would reach a equilibrium. Mical describes the Sith Empire as a continuous collapses, that no Sith ever maintains power for very long (Kreia also warns DS Exile about that, that the path to the dark is often a quick one). The history is almost entirely just one Sith betraying another until a different Sith rises up to kill the new top dog, it's an endless cycle.
      Stagnation and Stability are two different things, you can actively enact positive change without being unstable.

    • @dddmemaybe
      @dddmemaybe ปีที่แล้ว

      @@trisramhughes9935 Yea but the people of the Republic are easier to put at arms _against the Sith compared to the Jedi,_ and both will produce a lot of Sith and have a lot of self-destruction going on because of that and their own idiocies. They are both easy to deal with, if you understand their basic and rigid logic well, and don't play by the rules with a good amount of power. But the Sith can't exist for long when they will soon kill each other to the last man. It takes the Jedi order's decent stability to shit out more stupid Sith.

    • @fidalf99
      @fidalf99 ปีที่แล้ว

      Think of Palpatine's galactic empire. I'd say that G0-T0 would like to achieve something similar for the republic, should the sith rule. G0-T0 however doesn't know the nature of the dark side and it's tendency for self-destruction. As Mical said, many people do not really see a difference between the jedi and the sith thanks to individuals like Revan or Malak, Exar kun, etc.

    • @Kamilos446
      @Kamilos446 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@PapitoQinn If I remember correctly, T3-M4 found him on some planet and tried to rebuild, but Sith attacked, and then KOTOR 2 began. Even "Revan" book explains this, and when the Republic needed help, T3-M4 stayed with Meetra. According to the book, HK-47 stayed in the Jedi Temple when Revan went with Canderous and later alone to Unknown Regions. But droid's patience came to the end, and because Bastila didn't want to say where Revan is, he started to search him. But that's it. We can only assume that during this "searching" he was dismantled.
