Already finished the Adventure and Crafting sig line. Just working on Collections and Heroics. Love it, but wish it had more content. Usually we get 3 new areas and we only got 2 this time.
I am no longer a subscriber to EQ so haven't played the expansions but thanks so much for your hard work. I'm passionate about each one of your episodes.
Honestly this has been my favorite launch of any live launch I've gotten to experience. Totally agree, the art direction is REALLY something, in a positive manner of speaking.
LORE UPDATE: Kaitheel has pointed out that the growth we see in the Western Wastes is *NOT* related to the story events of Lady Vox and Firiona Vie from the Renewal of Ro exansion-- quite the contrary, that area has been like that as a result of the magics that Kerafyrm originally used to take the entire Temple of Veeshan away from the area back when the armies of the Awakened tried to steal a Tear of Veeshan for Kerafyrm's use back before the start of EQ2's timeframe.
I was absolutely blown away by the details! Did you see the flowers in the tree in the zone Splendor Sky Aerie? Wow! And the story... This is a playable work of art! Also, I have always enjoyed some of the humorous points in EQ... Tavid Dennant, Sailor Twift, Captain Jack Aviak! These are just a few examples that make me smile and laugh to myself every time I see them! Those goblins and orcs look to continue that little bit of a humorous streak! Thank you for continuing to create these fun looks behind the scenes of a game that really is an institution in the industry!
i played since the beginning, it became a family affair. i cant believe its still going! Maybe ill see how much it would cost me to get back into it. i loved your hard work and video
This is the first footage I've seen of the new expansion. It does a great job of giving me the creeps. The quality of the art has jumped by leaps and bounds since EQII first came out. I'm also enjoying the developer spotlights. It's great to get a peek into the minds of the creative/skilled individuals who continue to keep the EQ dream alive.
Save yourself a LOT of pain, frustration, annoyance and boredom. Dont. Just dont. There is absolutely NOBODY in any of the lower levels zones. Nobody. They're ghost towns. Only like 2 servers actually have any kind of population. Unless you want to sit alone, solo, with nobody to talk too, group with, or hang around with.. EQ2 is NOT the game for you. It just isnt. EQ2 was super cool.. but unless your max level, you missed the boat and nobody gives a flying )#$* you exist.
I came back to EQ after 20 years to play on the Teek TLP server. It’s the highest population EQ server of all time (to include those from back in the day). I’ve been having an absolute blast! Teek is about to roll into PoP, but I think you’d be able to catch up pretty quickly, especially if you joined a guild. Since it’s free-trade, it’s incredibly inexpensive to get geared up in the Bazaar.
Making me want to play, I haven't ever given the game more than a like 30 minute chance at best and I was probably like 16, lately I've been in the mood for shit like Classic WoW, Lotro and things of that nature. But the overwhelming amount of expansions and the choice of EQ 1 or 2, or that Project 1999 come up. Should I just dive into EQ1 and go from the start or is it just better to do a boost, I have no real idea.
Start EQ2 at the start and you'll have hours of lore to explore and enjoy. I was an EQ player at first, but found it very hard to go back after playing EQ2 for 20 years.
@@CullenRick good feedback. sorta same boar. never played eq2 tho, so maybe I should go that route, as opposed to trying to recreate 20 year past experiences from early eq1. thanks
For the love of God, please stop using that horrible music. Instead use some epic fantasy music. That song is breaking my immersion every time I hear it.
QUESTION OF THE EPISODE: Have you played either of the latest expansions? (Scars of Destruction of The Outer Brood in beta?) What are your thoughts?

thank you for always putting out content I know it has to be hard with such an old game much love from the Agnarr server
Great show. I would love to see more of Lucy McLaurin. She has so many great details about the game that I've never heard before.
Great episode! I love when you feature devs (specially from the original EQ) and they explain inner game mechanics!
Honestly this has been my favorite launch of any live launch I've gotten to experience. Totally agree, the art direction is REALLY something, in a positive manner of speaking.
I'm looking to jumping into SOD. I've actually never played an EQ2 expansion at launch, but want to try this time
No rent items. Never knew and this makes so much sense! Thanks Klanderso! Primo episoide, Fading. We so appreciate all y ou do for the community!
The art in the new EQ2 expac looks phenomenal! The engineers keep pushing the limits of the underlying tech even further, one step at a time.
Another Banger, thanks Fading!
Niente does really really good work. People weren't sold on personas but its been an amazing system
Beautiful episode, thank you!
Love it, thanks for doing this show my man.

Oh also.. just an FYI from our "live" chat. The video quality looks much better now that it's not streaming.
I’m planning on riding Teek all the way to live, so I’ll give The Outer Brood a try a few years from now. 😝
I always think to myself "man I need to play eq2"...and then I never do. One day maybe.
Tanarus was kino. Numbers would pop off during maintenance as everyone would play it while waiting to log back into EQ.
Love the videos
I love EQ.
Cheek out the Teek server! It's an active TLP.
Still love Eq2 the most, the new expansion looks great!!! go eq2!!
Love the show! Hope you can find some help with the production.
in a bit of a content drought in FF14.. this has me considering jumping back in! never played eq2, started eq1 back just before luclin. hmm.
Save yourself a LOT of pain, frustration, annoyance and boredom. Dont.

@@nathans1787 considering we're talking about EQ2... not EQ... what are you talkin about again?
@@Nazgull2k1 OP mentioned he'd played EQ, so I figured I'd make a sales pitch for the objectively superior game. 😉
I'm really enjoying SOD so far. It was a bit of a shame to see the Lucan model first on here rather than in the game, as that was a bit of a spoiler.

I have played SoD and it's great!
Wait what? no rent items don't disappear if you camp in a inn? I guess EQ can still surprise me after 24 years
She said they never finished the code so no rent items still poof in inns. Was a very interesting tidbit though
P99 for life

I thought EQ could never admitted it was based on a MUDD after they settled with DIKU... anyway, dude, monitize the channel!

It's his show. Are you willing to pay for a different song? Do you have the money to do so?
