If this is as good as the x wed 3, then it’ll be a cracking lid Tony. I’ve been very pleased with my x wed, so people shouldn’t think it’s an expensive inferior product. Great, thorough video Tony. Thank you 👍
Hi Tony.....in the market for a new lid. Previous helmet was an Xlite GT551 (wide visor, drop down, adjustable peak, planty of vents...similar in many ways to te X Wed 3). I also have an HJC RPHA 70 which was nice, comfortable and quiet on my Tracer 7. Sadly, the Tracer was written off and I replaced it with a Tiger 850 Sport. The HJC now seems to catch a lot of wind noise on the Tiger, presumably from the windshield. I tried my old X Lite, which was never a particularly quiet lid, and it was a revelation! The peak seemed to redirect the wind from the screen and reduce the wind noise level significantly.....so now I'm in a quandry. I like both the X Wed 3 and the WST3. A reliable drop down sun visor and a large field of view are essential requirements. The RPHA can feel a little closed in in comparison to my old Xlite. Tried the X Wed 3 in medium and the fit was perfect, so assume the WST3 will be the same, sharing the same shell. Having tried both on various bikes could you say which was the better helmet for an adv bike with a windshield? I don't give a monkey's about style; I'm more concerned about whether the peak inteferes with airflow, or will (like the old Xlite) help to magically smoothe it out! Last question concerns the visor: are the detents strong enough to prevent the visor closing on its own? Seems to be thing on newer lids with super easy detachment mechanisms...they don't stay where you put them....I guess the obvious answer would be to go with X Wed 3 and take the peak off 😏
Hi, well you pretty much answered as I would have with your last sentence! The WST3 is obviously neater than the WED3 without a peak. I guess you have to ask yourself if you really need a peak or not? As you know its going to be hit & miss in terms of the wind noise, and as you day the WED3 gives you both options
So true, I ride a 2023 Ducati street fighter v2 and bought this helmet from motocard in matte black with the Nexx X-Com 3 Pro and I love it. I’ll probably pass it down to my partner and get the carbon version for myself haha
@ lucky haha I just wasn’t sure I’d like the helmet and knew I couldn’t return it without paying $80, plus I got it discounted for $320 so I took the risk and couldn’t be happier. Even took it with me as I traveled across Asia for vacation.
A great lid. White us the colour, a safety thing. Riders wearing white lids are so much more visible to me. Could just be me, though. I know black might be more fashionable, but for me safety is where its at. Comprehensive explanation. Ride safe 👍
Hey man! Great review! Thank you! Im between this helmet and the Shoei Air GT 3. I know that the AIR 3 does a really good job on noice isolation. What about this one? What would be your choise? I ride a Dicati Hypermotard. Lots of wind coming in 😂😂 Appreciate your advice.
Thanks, I’ve ridden in both and to be honest, for me there’s not much difference. The Nexx has a bigger eye port which is nice. I would pick the one that fitted best
Good review thank you, one to consider , I do have a touratech adventuro 2023 ( made by Neex) great full face and very light ........... Alain & Yellow
Any idea if the MotoRadds Flex Slim camera mount fits just below the chin vent? Awesome that you can mount Cardo with both the sticky and clip mount. Do you know if the integrated visor intefers with glasses by any chance?
@FatBiscuitYT it fits, sort of, there’s enough room but it sits over the join between the shell and the chin bumper. Don’t know if that would allow good enough adhesion?
@@mancavemoto I see, if its got enough contact points im sure it would be fine. only one way to test it i guess. i might risk it and if not, just use a 360 cam on the handlebars as my dashcam.
No I don’t think so. ECE22.06 helmets seem to be bigger than previously, but I wouldn’t say Nexx are any bigger than most others in terms of shell sizing
They are bigger for some reason. Compared to my Shoei NXR2 which is also 22.06 approved, it is considerably bigger and does make my head look huge. However, I think that's just the case the 22.06 helmets that have integrated visors. I think you'll get used to it.
What do you suggest size of helmet for me my size head is 55cm..ilike that helmet do you think small is fit for me or medium size because the small size chart is 55-56cm or medium size 57-58cm? What do you suggest for me? Thankyou
@@ScProjectMen como é o isolamento do ruído do vento? Pergunto porque tenho moto naked e procuro um capacete com um bom isolamento, pois o meu atual Airoh Spark é muito confortável mas super ruidoso. Obrigado
Good to see a thorough review based on months of use, great work. Helmet looks really nice.
Thanks!
Very attractive profile. It's winning feature is its peripheral vision. Good review, Tony.
Thanks Nick

Nexx started with quality helmets and just seem to get better. How's your leg doing?
Yep they certainly seem to be on the up. Getting there thanks David, hobbling about now without any support. Frustratingly slow though

Hi, what do you think about wind noise in this helmet?
I found it pretty good

Got my Zero Pro with red accents just today.
Hi what about the sizing of the helmet if you order online possible it is accurate size?
I would say its accurate
@mancavemoto my head measure is 55cm do i order small or i go for a medium size?

I will check as I have just received one of those mounts to try out 👍
@@mancavemoto Awesome, would be good to know as thats the only thing stopping me from getting this helmet.

Do you feel like they're made bigger than other brands? As my first helmet and new rider, I have the X.WST2 in a small and it looks huge on me.

If you're head size is 55cm then the small would be the best starting point
@mancavemoto ty
Is it stable in the wind ? Said 160km\h?
Yes
The only issue is with the chin guard, doesn't seem that secure and falls off easily when putting it on almost lost it cause I didn't feel it drop.
I agree they can be tricky to fit, but once pushed in fully they don’t come out again. It’s just a bit of a job to make sure they are seated properly
