- We’re back metal detecting some new land on the incredible COB field where almost anything is possible to find. The day starts off great with a handful of 200 year old buttons along with coins and relics from the 1800 and 1700s. But the real magic of this field has been when we got a dog going back even older into the 1600s, a century before we even became our own country. Well after half a day of searching one of us finally got on one! Not only is it a 1600s monster, but a two headed monster at that! Check out the video of the clue didn’t help you as each trip to this field keeps giving up unique and super early finds!

Hope you and your buddies are doing well. As a 17 year old, I found my first Civil War relic today. Not a button, but an astounding and breathtaking Civil War Union breastplate, fully intact and great condition! It’s because of channels like yours that I got into the hobby, so I encourage you to keep up your weekly uploads and keep spreading the hobby!
Congrats man, that is awesome. I found my first silver coin last year and it felt amazing. I wish I could be out there right now but there’s just too much snow
@@jacksonwilhelm2420 ahh, I feel that haha I’m in Minnesota
Another fantastic treasure hunt. Love the crotal bell.
Thank you for a very enjoyable video keep up the great work and fun six stars my friends
Full-on as always. Sharp eyes Lynne. You'd be "lethal" on the Thames foreshore. Bit muddy, but where there's mud there's.......
Key didnt break in half. Crazy ! Thx QH Crew !
Dougie looking mighty dapper in those glasses 🕶️. Good luck to everyone. Let's hope this field never gets empty..
I hope this is the year dog tag gets his flying eagle
Your lips to God’s ears. I would love that! Thanks for all you well wishes.
The Cobb field is fighting back. Spitting up buttons when we know there is a $5.00 gold coin aching to see the light of day again.
Must Go Back!
I see Lynn holding the torch for you. That makes her lady Liberty Lynn.
The cherub pieces may be spandrel decorations from the face of a grandfather or long case clock. Great video. Andy.
Made it early this time! Excited for the show, thanks for the content can’t wait to see the finds!
Considering the way Lynne spotted the button on the ground, she is a real Eagle Eye!
Women seem to have sharper eyes than us men, in general. We 'look', but women 'see'; imo
I would like to see Lynn detect for one day, she would probably get a once in a lifetime find.
Lets take a vote, every thumbs up is one vote.
Huckleberry Lynn!!
Another excellent day of detecting guys and Lynn. Even though it' was cold there you still found some awesome coins and relics especially the William & Mary largie and those cool buttons and the cherubs Charley and Rich found
Great Hunt everyone. Lynne my hat is off for you. What a Beautiful Button you found on the surface. Very Nice. Doug Congrats on your William and Mary Half Penny. @@dogtagdoug6751 Hi Doug.Thankyou for the post.I have not detected for several years.I tried once last year but just could not do it.I have been fighting 3 types of cancer for nearly 7 years now.I have to start chemo. again next Monday, 3 times a week.I really dread that.Sometimes I feel like giving up.My friends have all kind of drifted away.People do that when you need them most.Oh well. What can you do.I am glad to see your foot is better. You guys are sure a nice group of people.Looking forward to the next video.I hope you find your flier.Your friend Harry Bond.
God bless you Harry. His strength will keep you in the fight.
William and Mary and Mary's a fox? I think you have a fox with you as is even if she was a bit cold. Lynn is delightful.
Congratulations to all of you!!! I love the skeleton keys!!! Doug that coin is Absolutely Amazing!!! God Bless Us All!!!
Thank you Lori
I’d be curious about the historical land records or old census records to see if those could hold any clues to who had wore those conductor buttons.
Lynne looks like she's freezing.
Great find guys, i loved Lynn's button, can't wait for the next video, lots of love from West Virginia ❤️🙂
Lynn's black button is a mourning button.
You’re absolutely right, Nancy!
Raspberry button that Legendary Lynne found.
I love the twisted skeleton key!!!!!!! Awesome video!!!!!!!!
Charley's watch winding key looks like a reins guide for a mouse... Lol
Talking about magic lyn brings yall luck
Those cherubs could be pieces off of a wood stove finial
I would check the back of those cherub things. If there's anyntiny rivets or holes for where rivets held a thin bar then I believe they were the 2 halves of a ladies sash buckle. I am sure of this because I have dug very similar ones together and the bars to attach and little hooking tabs are still attached on mine. It's very delicate punched or stamped piece so if the tabs broke off it wouldn't leave much of a sign of having a hooking tab without a very close inspection after it's cleaned well. The round thing Charlie found looks like the looped end of like a gate latch. The routed out inside of the loop is so the piece that is driven in wood or is cemented in stone (for a gate latch) is so you can peen the end over and it wouldn't stick out far and stab or snag somebody. Those were made this way from the 1790's and back. I also have an example I can compare to that came from the property of a quakers meeting house (church) it was dug up by the stone gate and I'm positive it's off the missing gate. The two iron pins are still stuck in the stone that held the gate and this piece likely attached on the gate itself but they were also used on wood fence gates also.
Sometimes you find the coins sometimes you find other objects but you keep chipping away until you find it all. All that matters is that you're finding something and it's all not just old but it's very old 👍😎
Doug found that show,YOU SAID IT MIGHT EVEN FIT DOUG,LOL😂😂
Another nice hunt guy's, and congradulations to Lynn on her mudlarking find.
Lynn needs a detector.TX 550
Do you ever sell what you find? I think it would be a great auction or fun on an annual sale.
Very nice hunt all around.
Keep Swingin 💪
Now it's the field of thousand buttons.
Love you energy and the way you all get along.
That key is from Salvador Dali's painting of the melting clocks, I'm sure of it! Thanks for the video!
Conductor could be an overall brand, judging from the button's construction.
Dog tag Doug's Chrono bell said that word meant crotch😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Man, you guys are really on the hotspot aren’t you Jason? Love the video and keep on digging brother!
I love finding glass buttons. Some nice bits and pieces on the day. What a crazy bent up key for R.V.W.
3 conductor buttons, the cherubs, and the bent key.... I'm thinking.... a fire happened.... house... maybe a small rooming house.... not sure how far out the train tracks are/were... maybe it was a small depot... tracks long removed. .. ????
Another cool video me and Mrs Turd Ferguson enjoyed it.if Rich is RVW then Doug is the MVP lol
Thanks for the vote of confidence
THANK YOU FOR ANOTHER GREAT INTERESTING RELAXING VIDEO FOR MY DINNER ENTERTAINMENT
YOU FOLKS ARE SO NICE

Central ky grandfather's old one room cabin. And. Grounds
Can you please tell me what brand that flashlight is that you attach to your shovel to view coins and things? I need one of those! Thanks
Watched the quarter Hal and you were talking about nickname for Lyn what about lucky charm Lyn? Sorry if her name spelled wrong. Hey sounds better than Jane Fonda Doug lol
Hey guys, keep it clean will you? Comparing shanks? Riich has a shank standing up & yours doesn’t? Try explaining that to a little kid! 😏
Lots of buttons, have you heard of a shoddy job? Derives from the word 'shoddy' a term used for old clothes, materials, which back then were all made of natural fibres, wool, cotton, silk - these would be put into the ground and all would break down as a natural fertiliser when put into the land, due to not being useful to repurpose .. Once the material had broken down, the only thing left were the buttons... So, although not coins, they all tell a story :-)
That 1694 British halfpenny is on my bucket list
This is a great channel. The idea of finding something valuable is exciting to everyone! I especially like the banter between the characters! Nothing better than hanging out with friends doing something fun! Keep it coming! Thanks for the great entertainment!
Have you considered because you are finding the conductor buttons, that is why you are finding soi many watch winding keys. Carrying around those railroad pocket watches and losing buttons. Cool! I really love the black glass (French Jet) mourning button that Lynne spotted. good eye and lovely find.
Lynn needs some coveralls and a Russian hat. Freezing girl. But she has the best button found.
another fun one !
Another great episode of 'Button Glutton'! Interesting session.
I'm thinking a train conductor was murdered and buried in the field😅
Fun day. 😊 The cherub pieces remind me of sash buckle clips.
at 24:46, what I came up with is "I thought I saw a Puyt Cat"!
Awesome finds. Thanks for sharing.
Blackberries on that black glass button
Some interesting South Jersey finds
Did you hook lynn up with rich there is not a big selection you know she needs someone
Hello Quarter Hoarder,Dog Tag Doug,Rich
Hey Gregory
They are Thistles on Lynne’s find. I think.
Cool finds thanks for sharing!!!!!
How about a short, 3 minute tutorial on the tombac metal on old buttons.
Mary would be blushing with your assessment 😂
♥
Do you guys plan on going back in the near future?
Great stuff . Man I like this crew
Man o man, great finds again everyone!!!
Good hunt guys as usual, catch you on the next one. 🇺🇸
Love watching your videos. Got into this hobby years ago but seriously about a year ago. Love it! Lots of good places in Eastern PA. Keep digging!
Thanks Pam. What part of Eastern Pa?
R.V.W 😂😂😂 Good one Jason! 7:42
Looks like a Pizza Button
The flower on the button is a thistle.
Now you got rvw for rich now lcl for lyn for the win😅
Time for Lynn to get a Nokta
Why does Lynn not metal detect?
Very cool finds!
Nice work kids!!

Cool finds!!!!

Antique Lynn
Ok aunt q Lynn
Whos the gal that just walks around why doesnt she detect?
She is Rich's mom, and an antique efficienado! She explained she has bad wrists I believe. Lynne is their lucky charm! ☘️ ❤😊
Field of 1000 buttons? Wow they were popping out of the ground a quite the rate- nice work!. The W&M coin was awesome as were many of the relics- well done men (and lady for an excellent surface find).
Great hunt and very cool finds love the bell and key God Bless and happy dirt fishin…Virgil
I kind of remember seeing old coverall buttons being emossed with "conductor" and/or a vintage locomotive, back in the '50's or so.
Could the back floral button be jet?
Yes, it is…a mourning button!
The Quarterhoarder crew has another phenomenal day. Always enjoy watching .
I recently bought a Legend, do you ever share your detector settings? Just curious what you were running in this field… love your videos !
In a field, put your machine on farm field setting. Run your sensitivity between 25-30. If you’re getting chatter on higher numbers, keep it around 25. Go slow and be prepared to dig every repeatable signal.
@@dogtagdoug6751 thank you! I really appreciate it!
@@dogtagdoug6751 i really appreciate your time and answer.. Thank you
