This is the first decent video I have found that breaks down the mastering assistant. Well done.
SO basicallllllly I can save $20 a month by not using emastered anymore cause its pretty much spot on? PERFECT! thank u logic
Thanks Tomas..Bigups!!! Already signed up for your complete course Logic Pro x
It’s so explicit and easy to understand..
Thank you! I’m glad you’ve enjoyed the course and found it so useful.
Superb video, extremely clear instructions. Cheers mate!
Fantastic work mate. Thanks so much. 🤩
Wow. Wow. And wow. Great plugin. Great video.
You are just too good on this review ❤thank you for the break down ❤❤ much appreciated i am subscribing to this channel right away 😂
Thank you! Very helpful
WONDERFUL TUTORIAL THANKS!
Awesome, finally I understand this amazing plugin! 😺❤
Great video, Thanks.
Nice explanation! 🔝👌
Thanks! 😃
Good one! Thx Mate
Thank you too!
Thank you
Nice video. Shame you can only use the different Character features in the mastering suite if you've got the new silicon chip in your mac.
🙏👏Compressor in it?
If you’re using a bunch of softsynths in addition to vocals and acoustic instruments, is it necessary to freeze the MIDI tracks first to convert them to an audio file before mastering?
Thanks, ;-)
Thank you!
Hi, thanks for the great video. Quick question please. Once you're happy with the mastering is it then a case of bouncing down to a WAV as normal to upload to your distribution company ?
Play around with the settings, make sure it’s not clipping, after that you’re all good to export it in any file (WAV or MP3)
I have the latest version of of Logic Pro but it just doesn't show up for some reason? Like, I don't see the mastering button beneath audio FX
Have to do a software update to Sonoma
just updated after whatching your video, thanks! now a lot of my plugins when you open them show ⍰ when it comes to selecting presets etc. any idea what to do there?
Thanks, I’m glad you’ve enjoyed this video. In terms of your question, have you checked to see that your plugins are available for your operating system? You may need to update them if you’ve updated your Mac.You could also try opening Logic Pro in Rosetta if these are plugins designed for intel Macs and you’re using a silicon Mac. I hope this helps
@@TomasGeorge hm they were all working before on M1 and are on the latest update. any other idea?
Ah okay. I recommend checking the manufacturer’s site to see if there are any newer versions of the plugins or contact their support to see if they can help with this issue.
Thank you for this. Could it be that the mastering tool distorts the piece when shared to music? In any case, it seems that there is a terrible distortion when I use the mastering tool.
same! when i export its all fuzzy. Any luck?
This could be something to do with opening Logic Pro in Rosetta perhaps?
I have had the same experience. My advice is to turn down your tracks to something like -8db and when bouncing the track turn normalizing on and it will the boost the signal upon bounce. That has cleaned up my issues with distortion so far.
Before using the mastering assistant…should I remove all plugins from the master track first ?
As far as I understand, there's no need to mix down two two tracks, you can just master the full multitrack mix. So much easier to go back and change stuff.
I agree.. I do bounce to two tracks if I fade in/out , it's much easier with two tracks
@@jlguler1 It's easy to fade using automation on the master out too. No need to mix down to two tracks if you don't want to.
the mastering option is not showing up for me. When I go to the app store and see to update it, it doesn't say i need to update it. Can anyone help?
I'm using Logic ProX 10.8 on an Intel 2020 iMac machine, and the only setting available to me is CLEAN. But I'll try to find your class and learn more about this. I do have an issue that I would love to send to you to see if you can fix. I'm working on an audio book and I want to get this right. SO please reach out to me, then show me how to do it.
yes intel macs only let you get the Clean setting
every time I use mastering assistant it sounds overly compressed....not too impressed with it.
An entry-level tool at best, but better than nothing at all.
maybe i am not advanced enough but 3 minutes in, i could not follow anything you said. i am motivated, but i just couldn't understand why you were talking about.
bad music
Your track is super cool too 🩵
My computer is too old to get different characteristics but this is still very VERY dope.
