- Today we are going to take a quick listen to Logic's Mastering Assistant. This plugin is quickly becoming one of my favorite reasons to use Logic for my productions. Apple keeps it simple with just a few adjustment parameters but listen for yourself just how much of a difference it makes!

Apple and Logic just doesn't cease to blow me away
Best demo I saw of this. I stumbled across the Mastering Assistant tonight & went to TH-cam for validation on how I felt it working. Thanks Forest!
Agree this thing is awesome. Like you said, not the only move you need to make but an amazing starting point pretty quick!
big thanks!! this is the fourth video i've watched about Mastering Assistant, and the first time i "got it." Thanks for making a video that is clear, direct, simple to understand.
It definitely works. Wish I had this tool a few months ago 😂
Time for a remastered release! 😆
I’ve used the Mastering Assistant a few times on mixes and I love it.
Glad to see you back on it man! nothin wrong with breaks when needed
You right. We back! Thanks for coming back to watch the videos!
So good to see you back!
Thanks Forest! Awesome video. Life saver of a plugin.
Good to see you back brotha
Appreciate you making this vid!
Good to see you back :)..... Waiting and hoping for a new sample pack this year
Oh I got a good one coming!
Great video
I just recently bought a Mac Mini and bought Logic Pro. I would love to see more about Logic. I have also kept my S1 subscription. I never thought I would get a Mac but man it is powerful! Do you think Logic or S1 has more power as a DAW?
This is a great question that I will do a full video on for you. Great idea!
I’m gonna comment on everything you put it out brother. Let’s kick you back into algorithm high gear lol
Ill be looking for your comments!
One thing, get the track to be around -8 LUFS as you can for streaming.
Awesome tutorial. I have a question. When I use Logic, one project will have the instrumental plus all the vocal tracks (lead and background). Would you suggest using the Mastering Assistant on that? Or bounce it out (at a low volume so it doesn't clip), create a new project, and master the entire track as a whole that way?
I think this is a great step forward but comparing Logic's mastering assistant with Ozone or LANDR, I found it to be very lacking. I did a blind test with one song and the 3 masters of each plugin and Logic was far behind the others. Its the first version of the plugin though, so expect it get a lot better with the next update.
I’m having problems with exporting tracks while the mastering assistant turned on. The output audio sounds cracking. When turned off, the exported audio sounds normal. I’m using the M3 Pro btw.
My is the latest logic but i dont have such feature. Where do you find it?? Where is it located?
I get why you could use these type of processors, but what's the fun of all these automated plugins?
For me it makes my song sound better faster than me fiddling with different plugins. I want the fastest path to get a good sound so I can put my focus on the song itself as opposed to the mix. To each their own!
@@forestwhitehead I understand. I was talking more from a mix engineer's perspective, maybe should have mentioned that.
I know what you mean, but relative to the songwriting, musicianship, recording and mixing, I just want my tracks to sonically sound as awesome as possible as easily as I can.
what are your headphones mate?
can you do mixing Video and Make song in pro tools
I’m sorry I just do not like protools at all.
@@forestwhiteheadLogic rules imho 🥹
i dont know why, but your thumsnail looks like a child hehe =)
