I love the original, but the Fray's rendition makes me really feel the pain this guy is going through. Kanye made me think he was going rough times, but he'll get over it quickly.

Does this fit anyone's life so perfectly it's scary? I can understand why people say that this version is better. Having a band cover it gives it a whole different feel. But it's pretty ignorant to say that Kanyes version is bad. Kanye used autotune in a way that fit the song perfectly, because he isn't an amazing singer. But depending on your mood, Kanyes version is better, and this version is better.

I remember the first time I heard this version. I think I was 11. I liked Kanye' version but the auto tune kinda made me like it less. I was so captivated by the animation in this music video. I found this version on Spotify and I listened to it for weeks. I recently remembered this existed and I looked for it on Spotify, but I found that it was removed.
I'm 17 now and I've been through my fair share of dysfunctional relationships and other hardships and this song still holds a place in my heart

Honestly, I love Kanye (well...I loved Kanye's first three albums), but I like this version much more. The singer for the Fray brings a lot more emotion than Kanye does, as Kanye kinda went monotone in his verses. Not to mention the instrumental provided by the band here feels like it has more depth to it with the instrumentation of it, while Kanye's felt kind of stagnant with how it didn't really change up too much. Make fun of me, all you want, but that's how I feel about it.

I know what you mean. I visited my divorced dad and my grandmother. Three weeks into my visit my gf of 8 months and her family came down to NC to visit me. A week later she tells me that she fell in love with a close friend of mine after meeting him at a 4th of July party. She said she still loves me, but can't be with me because of him. She's slowly drifted away from me, but still cares for me. I ended up finding out she cheated with him from a mutual friend. I confronted her and she said she regrets everything starting with even going to the party. Our relationship was already unstable do to her ignoring me for a while and ditching me for her friends occasionally. Nothing I have been able to do has helped me get any better. I still love her and want her back so we can go back to the way it was before I left, and so does she. I'm still in love with her, and she knows it. She keeps stringing me along and I can't do anything about it. I would say she's pretty heartless.

This song doesn't affect me, as I've never been in a relationship with a woman, but that's the thing. It can have several meanings. There are songs that do make even ME cry when I let them because of there extreme relevance to my depression. An example of a song that can have several different meanings is "You Found Me" by The Fray. "You found me lying on the floor" or "Where were you" could relate to depression, suicide, emotional/physical/sexual abuse, drug abuse/overdose, abandonment and more. It can slam several types of people.
