Why can't music like this get the appreciation it deserves

This is one of my favorite groups
I grew up on the fray and they were my unintentionally favorite band, I always said it was maroon 5 growing up but my teen self knew their was something special about the fray subconsciously and always caught myself singing their music
Their artistry is truly unmatched and on par with my new favorite group of 10 years Kings of Leon
Because it doesn't sound like everything else. It's odd: it is easier now to record independently than it once was, and yet there is probably more conformity in pop music than perhaps in the mid 1950s.
In fact, hearing this blind I would not be able to pinpoint WHEN this song was recorded.

16 years later and it’s still a masterpiece
I was in a rehab facility when this album came out and my mother purchased it for me and while my many sleepless nights of withdrawal and my mind running wild this album changed me forever

15 years later and it still hits right in the feels
my mom used to play this song all the time during her pregnancy and my early years, so hearing louis cover this song years later, I knew I heard it somewhere before, turns out my mother had the whole 'how to save a life' album but she always repeated this specific song because she loved it so much and was enthusiastic for me to hear it even if I was a kid then, I'm literally in tears.

This album came out when I was in 2nd grade. My grandma had cancer and my parents bought me this album that Summer. I listened to it on repeat. I can't describe the feeling, the melancholy coupled with the emotions in my family. I was too young to understand, but this album always made me feel the feelings that helped me cope. A sad and confusing time made just a little more real, for whatever it was worth. RIP to my grandmother.
