I bought this one (*not slef heating version), loved it so much I sold it and bought the 300Ah. I did encounter a problem with the built in screen. When ever the battery was warm (100f) the screen wouldnt work. Kept it in the back seat area of my F150. So when we parked for lunch, the cab would get warm and the screen would die. Battery worked fine. Once it cooled down, the screen came back to life.
I have 2 of these Temgots. An older non self heating with the screen and now this one. The screen on this one seems to be much better and brighter than my older one. Not sure if they upgraded the screens, but this self heating version seems much better.
Seems like an awesome battery. If you put two of these batteries in series or parallel, will one of the batteries act as a charging sources for the heating to be turned on?
It makes sense about the heating element since you only really care about the battery temperature to charge. I've never looked, but besides high and low temperature charging cut off, I wonder what the temperature is, high and low, where a BMS will just shut off. Love that the prices are really coming down. This was the price of a cheap non-heated battery last year. Thanks for the video.
Thanks for this video, I have a company sending me a self heating battery to review and I haven't done a self-heating one yet either and wasn't sure how that works or how I would test it. Didn't even think about how to test it when I agreed to do the review because I was thinking it would just be similar to a low temp cut-off. Hopefully this companies' app is similar to this one and functions the same way and will show this type of data. This seems like a great battery for the price btw!
Seems like a lot nice features for not much more money than a standard 100 Ah battery. 👍🏻
👍🏻👍🏻 thanks Steve

Good information on the heating power use. So much confusion and assumption out there, and this makes sense. Thanks Brian!
Thank you👍🏻

No, each batteries heater needs to be turned on by their own BMS when charging.

Bought two 2 months ago, working fine so far, love the heating feature. The price is also discounted, only 289.99 on amazon.👍
Amazon has them now $269.99 with a 5% discount that makes them at $256.48 plus tax with free shipping.
Any idea what the minumum aperage needed to activate self heating?
