    I used to have a problem with my sight due to the excess skin on my upper eyes. This was a need to be done, not just for aesthetics. That's why I kept searching on the internet for the best doctors and hospital to do these kinds of operations and finally, I went from my country to Turkey, Istanbul directly to Natural Hair Turkey where their doctor ensured outstanding results. It was painless and the nurse put eye pads on my eyes to reduce swelling. After removing them, a blurred vision made me scared but they said it was normal. Fortunately, it was over in one day. The staff had a calming manner. All I can say is that the surgery changed the quality of my life. I see clearly. I recommend Natural Hair Turkey for these kinds of operations.

    You re still beautiful Dr. May I ask the difference between upper blepharoplasty n double eyelid surgery?

    • @JohnsHopkinsMedicine
      @JohnsHopkinsMedicine  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi, Thank you for reaching out. Upper blepharoplasty is performed through a cosmetic lid crease incision, upper eyelid blepharoplasty allows the surgeon to remove excess skin and fat to reshape the profile of the upper eyelid. The skin of the upper eyelid is very thin, which means the incision (hidden in the upper eyelid crease) heals with no visible scarring. The double eyelid surgery is another type of blepharoplasty.

    This was an excellent authoritative presentation. I watched, however, elsewhere the actual long-term true healing process which, in the case of a healthy young man whose appearance was part of his career, actually took 6 months. Also sleep propped up on myriad pillows to reduce bruising; stay out of the sun; it is not as simple a procedure as it may appear. As a woman in her 60s who wants to age gracefully I am thinking about this procedure -- costs vary depending where you live and RESEARCH your plastic surgeon; if you can have it done in hospital, all the better, but there have been some horror stories. My conclusion still sitting on the vanity fence; does anyone want to look like Jane Fonda at 80? That was truly spooky. Excellent work and a life of remaining fit, professional makeup and the voice of … an 80 yr old woman in Book Club. Made me rethink my options. Once again, excellent video.

    I have to share for all the people watching this, if you have puffy under eye circles and discoloration, don't get plastic surgery. It leaves a hollow area underneath your eyes that looks darker and the creasing gets worse over time because without fat, guess what, there's loose skin and you get wrinkles fast! Looking back 5 years ago before my surgery, I looked so much better than I do now. When I tell my friends about the surgery they say, "I didn't even notice you had puffy eyes before" Sometimes you are your own worst critic. Now there's no solution and concealer can't cover wrinkles. Moral of the story: Just love yourself with what you have. Once you have plastic surgery you can't really go back to what it was before, you hate it, you have to live with it forever knowing you did that to yourself.

      There's nothing crazy about a simple eyelid procedure. Crazy is when you continue with procedure after procedure in an attempt for perfection. Every single human being can choose couple small things they'd change to enhance their look.
