Look at the dude's property. He's likely working a full time job to afford all of that. Doing that plus his butterfly hobby AND making videos is quite hard
Just found your channel and loved seeing such a rare form of the Tiger Swallowtail. Your butterfly is a partial kaleidoscope gynandromorph because some of the female color is on the male side and some of the male color is on the female side on the rear wings. I had one bilateral gynandromorph and one kaleidoscope gynandromorph during the time I reared Buckeyes for three summers. I asked Jesus if he would give me some gynandos. and that is what I got. I was experimenting rearing for different colors and patterns. The genetics of the Buckeye Butterfly is really prone to changing and being manipulated just by breeding specific individuals together. It was a lot of fun.

Most snails are both at the same time and breed like that, while clownfish are born undifferentiated, the second largest fish in the group becomes male, and the largest becomes female. If the female clownfish dies then the male becomes the female and the largest undifferentiated fish becomes the new male Then in humans and some other mammals there are intersex individuals, which is when someone is born with a mix of male and female traits. A lot of intersex babies are operated on so that they appear male or female, and there is a movement within the intersex community to try and stop this from happening since it can be very emotionally (and physically) damaging to the individual and a lot of intersex people think surgery should be put off until the person is old enough to decide for themselves what they want.

Great channel and information. Can you suggest, or do a video on how to put up a dropped butterfly cocoon? I have about 60 swallow tail caterpillars, most of which have cocooned, but some have fallen off their branch after I moved the plant they were on. Thanks in advance for any information you can provide.
It is literally a male/female split right down the middle. Overall I would say the behavioral traits were closer to a female Tiger Swallowtail, but it's hard to tell too much from one specimen.
It should be added that males of the species are ALWAYS yellow. A yellow female/male combination would be impressive enough, but a dark female/male combination is even more dramatic! I was happy to find a female that had a "mosaic" of light and dark coloration; these are uncommon (I've seen two in my lifetime) but not at all as rare as what is shown in this video. My main area of study is wasps, and I've seen less than a handful of male/female gynandromorphs out of untold thousands, but I have a Xylocopa (carpenter bee) gynandromorph of a species in which the male is golden in color while the female is black, which gives it a strange look, too.
OH MY! ITS A COMVINATION OF THE BLACK SWALLOWTAIL BUTTERFLY AND THE ZEBRA SWALLOWTAIL! SO AMAZING! Also,I’ve caught black swallowtails and zebra swallowtails before :)

I found a bilateral gynandromorph of a Papilio rumanzovia once. My favorite butterfly I’ve ever held.
