Oh man, Big Boos Haunt in Sm64 is genuinely unsettling!
Like it's still goofy and all, but i imagine that level would've creeped me out as a kid!
The bottom of the well from ocarina of time also counts
Mystic Mansion from Sonic Heroes
Fun fact: the KH2 Christmas outfits for Sora, Donald, and Goofy were first added in the Final Mix version of the game. The original vanilla release actually didn’t have two costumes, just the Halloween ones.
The ghost world in "A Hat in Time" has an interesting, but dark origin. Apparently, the ghost who steals your soul, the Snatcher, was a former prince who was buying a gift for his former lover, Vanessa (yea, the same Vanessa in the 4th mission). But, because the seller was a woman, Vanessa got the wrong message and locked the Snatcher in the dungeon till he expired... and froze everything else in her new monster form.

When you started talking about Celeste, I thought for sure you were going to talk about the Mirror Temple (it's a lot scarier and creepier imo). I hope you do in a part 2, maybe?

A Grave Mistake level where you fight Vlad the Impala is a good spooky level in Clive'n'Wrench, and you can find an easter egg where the scarecrow is sort of a Hat in Time reference.
What about nonspooky levels in spooky games? That'd be interesting if you wanted to involve horror games. 🤨
Eh is that common? Nothing comes to mind.
Max Payne 2 comes to mind with that Iconic level where the character Vinnie is dressed as a Cartoon Character and squeaks with his shoes XD
If the Tomb of the Ancients or Desert of the Knaaren from Rayman 2 and 3 aren't on here, I shall change your wake-up alarm sound to that of the Spider Chase from Rayman 2 and place various spider plushies throughout your bedroom.

A level overshadowed by alot of other spooky sonic levels: haunted ship from sonic rush adventure

In part two you should mention the level Annihilate from Just Shapes and Beats the reason its so creepy is because right before you get the last tree of life piece (blue triangle) the boss/main villan stabs the triangle in his head stopping you from saving the world and starts to transform and very ominous music starts playing. when you start the boss level very appocoliptic music starts playing and then the boss makes his full transformation into a monster
JSaB has a lot of creepy moments but annihilate is the only full level that is creepy so yeah please feature annihilate in the next video I really think it would fit in (BTW JSaB is a song game but don't worry because annihilate isn't a copyrighted song, me and plenty of other people have made videos with annihilate in them)

Another Spooky Level or in this case, Mission i can think of is In GTA liberty City stories, The mission is called Dead Meat and your task is to murder a guy inside of a Slaughter house and sell his meat, this may be considered cheating since GTA LCS isn't exactly a family friendly game but the old GTA games are still goofy here and there!
Another one of my favorite "Horror" levels is the one in Mario Land 2, the vibe there is just cool, but aldo cause of the screen crunch and black and white colour, it can still be a bit Spooky here and there!
I'll give you more: Haunted Mansion from Sonic Heroes
and from Rayman 2: The Cave Of Bad Dreams, especially with that creature who follows you down the slide, with its sharp teeth and basically the whole level is kinda spooky
you could even say Lavender Town from Pokémon fits under the theme of "spooky levels in video games"
tho a level that does qualify as a Halloween themed level got to be: Nina's Nightmare from CTR Nitro-Fueled, as it also released in time for Halloween during the Halloween themed Grand Prix
Pokémon Tower in lavender Town in pokémon Red and Blue and green and yellow.
When you said halloweentown I was actually not even thinking about nightmare before Christmas but actually the movies that are called halloweentown. I believe those are Disney movies if I'm ever correctly. They're live-action movies.
Anyways fantastic video and it makes sense that you can't cover them all because there's horror themed levels in so many games. I mean a lot of the Mario games have the ghost houses after all and in some cases you could say that some of the castles are horror themed.

I feel like you should mention the Warioland II & 3’s horror levels if you do this again honestly. It’s a crime to only ever talk about 4 since imo it’s weaker than it looks
The Subcon Forest went too far with the horror theme, which is why I've always dread to play A Hat in Time. A number of indie games tend to make scary levels a little too scary, and being the coward I am, I can't stand it! I know I'm in the minority, but I don't want to be triggered by certain themes that genuinely creep me out or get under my skin! It's also the reason why I have no plans on finishing Earthbound knowing what's to come at the end.

If you wanna do a video like this for more views do more popular games with horror levels like Conkers bad fur day vampire/zombies level, sonic adventure 2 death chambers level (or sonic heroes Halloween level forgot the name) skyward sword (silent realm parts) ect..
I only say that cause your channel has way more potential than covering games people may not know or care about (it’s your channel though you can do whatever you want just an observation from this particular video)
