    I know a few people that have built these, and I'm collecting the parts to do so myself. Normal compressors are WAY too loud. These scroll compressors from HVAC or Fridges are super quiet! Very nice build using a fire extinguisher tank. Using a drilled out bolt for the air fitting is clever. Nice Work!

      This is fake... first there is no PTC Relay, that compressor wouldn't start
      Second, he spent alot of air during the video, and in the end of the video ,you can see the pressure gage didn't move an inch... That reservoir is pretty small, so the pressure would drop quite a lot.
      He has the hose connected to another external compressor, as you can guess it by how much he cropped the video afterwards
      This guy's videos are all fake, he just makes a very good job of keeping it looking kinda real, so he can fool most of the normal people.

      Yeah welding on the tank like that probably compromised the tank. It hopefully fails at the welds on the bolt if anything instead of the tank exploding. Assuming it just blows the bolt and power switch pressure regulator thing off. That could be dangerous to tho and those where all cold spot welds to so they definitely aren't very strong weld. The material building up on top like that means no penetration still made the tank hot tho.

    No nylon thread tape on anything, so it probably leaks air. 1/4 tubing is crap, so it probably doesn't have very much psi. And worst of all, the electrical is not enclosed, so be prepared for a nice electrocution if it gets wet.

  • @deanmoberg445

    Need to use Teflon tape on the pressure joints. Need a condensation drain. No ground on the wiring = getting a nasty shock! I doubt this will have much use and or last long.

    Unfortunately towards the last part of the video, the compressed air was shown using for cleaning which is forbidden. The metallic particles that may be present in the air can penetrate the body through the jet of air causing life threatening conditions. Please handle such gadgets with care. Also it was shown an electric pin being inverted to the socket without switching off the plug point. Please make sure you follow safety practices and those viewers are going to learn from you, only safe practices.
    Thanks

Ponerle sus partes eléctricas como el relay y el termico ' ese compresor porque así esos cable soldados así no prende porque debe iniciar la bobina de arranque del compresor ' yo trabajo en refrigeracion.
    De resto yo le admiro su labor esta muy lindo el diseño y las iniciativas para las personas.

    • @johnnorman8673
      @johnnorman8673 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Inside a unit in service is different than here refrigerant has oil in it from factory witch constantly lubricates moving parts in this fashion it will no longer have constant oil supply so in turn probably won't be reliable

    • @joemendyk9994
      @joemendyk9994 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @marthale7 actually, the freon that this pump sends through the refrigerator coils is also the lubrication for the pump motor parts. That's why you don't see more videos of people using these for compressors. It's not a new idea.............

    Sadly, a fridge compressor is not suitable for this. A fridge compressor gives really high pressure but a lousy flow rate, 500 psi and 1 cfm. What you want is moderate pressure and much higher flow rate, 100 psi but at a minimum of about 10 cfm.
    PS. 500 psi is bloody dangerous!!

    Pour des raisons de sécurité de l'utilisateur de ce compresseur ainsi que toutes personnes approximatives du lieu, il est impérativement exigé d'installer une soupape de sécurité réglée à une pression légèrement supérieur à la pression de service (sortie compresseur).
    Autrement, et en cas de disfonctionnement du pressostat, le compresseur continuera à comprimer jusqu'à explosion de l'ensemble. C'est comme une bombe !

    Hi,
    I’ve made 15 so-to-speak quiet air compressors for family and friends from different-brand-name air tanks and using previously working dehumidifier (or window AC) refrigeration compressors and all worked fine. I’ve recently come across a problem I can’t seem to resolve.
    NOW: Like in the past, I’m using a 6 gal air compressor tank, window AC refrigeration compressor, new 4-way pressure switch with unloader valve, and new tank check valve which holds pressure fine…..
    PROBLEM: after filling the tank and the unit shuts down…a small amount of OIL VAPOR (smoke) comes out of the unloader valve…..just for a minute or less. Then it stops smoking.
    So I tried using 3 different refrigeration compressors (from a dehumidifier, etc.) and still same problem. (I did this in case the first refrig compressor had a bad internal seal….can’t believe ALL THREE had bad seals, so maybe (??) the problem lies elsewhere….
    To further CONFUSE this issue, I disconnected the refrig compressor from the check valve and simply ran the refrig compressor for a long time, then shut it down and NO VAPOR………wow, I’m really stumped!
    This is “nothing different” than what I’ve done in the past 15 builds yet….SOMETHING MUST BE DIFFERENT…to cause this oil vapor.
    Any suggestions as to WHY this might be happening would be really be appreciated.
