Very true Al and was thinking exactly the same, the only idiots I can see on this page are those defending the Insignia driver. He ultimately is responsible for all this kicking off (Unless of course something happened between them prior to the footage shown)
The insignia driver was 100% in the wrong and just made matters worse. If you're defending the insignia driver then it makes me wonder about your own driving!
Vauxhall driver went through a red light, in the wrong lane and proceeded to cut up another driver. The Audi driver had right of way. The Vauxhall driver then tried to overtake on road markings that say you can't and over a right hand turn for traffic of the opposite direction. Clear traffic violations and my opinion the Vauxhall driver shouldn't be on the road.
Yeah, i agree. Both drivers shouldn’t be on the road. One went through a red light and the other went up onto the pavement. It just proves they shouldn’t be driving. Simple as.

Could add an emotional control component to a test. Give people so real tools to relax and keep that ego at bay. Those exercises would need to be repeated over the course of the journey. Maybe the sheep are not capable of driving safely and relaxing at the same time.
Just get a dashcam. Report the bad driver to the police and hopefully they get a letter to confirm the driver at the time of offence and gets a fixed penalty notice
probably it s how most of people learned to drive in bad way @ UK. not using direction indicators, going backward on road crossing, not giving way on roundabouts or cutting lanes, forcing to go on red or cutting way... everyday sh't

I'm scared by the amount of people who think the orange car is at more fault than the silver one. I really hope you don't drive in this country. The silver one went through a right only turning that was on a red light to overtake a car who was in the correct lane to go straight on that was on a green light. Orange should have definitely let the crazy nutter go past them and not fought for the place but its 100% the silver cars mistake. Then the way she continues to drive up behind him aggressively and swerve all over the road with a child in the car without a seatbelt makes me think she should be arrested for this footage she could have easily hurt someone with her aggression even after her own mistake...

I know this road, it leads up to Colne and if you don't know it its very easy to get stuck in that outside lane and people generally there won't let you back in. As much as the insignia was in the wrong, its clear the Audi closed the gap on purpose. A few cooler heads would have prevented all that agro.
I did read in the local paper that the junction is going to be changed so people can't switch lanes at the top as this kind of thing is a common problem. While people not merging in turn or letting people change lanes is a problem I suspect the Insignia driver here was deliberately trying to shove past everyone as he was gunning it through the lights to get ahead of as many cars as possible rather than calmly trying to move over politely. He could have slowed, indicated and moved into the fairly large space in front of the driver filming but he just had to get past one more car.
Actually I believe if you are in the wrong lane at that point, instead of going through a red light and trying to force your way back in. You should stay at the light until it turns green then turn right and find another way around to get to your destination. By you I meant her, lol sorry about that.
joshua heywood The Insignia went through a red light so don't try to blame the Audi driver for closing the gap, the inginia should have waited at the red lights and then indicated right and move off to the left when safe to to so, you can of course do a light blip on the horn to the car to the side of him and ask him to wind their window down and ask if he can go in front of the driver, usually they say ok and would have stopped all this from happening.
I can totally see why the TT driver got the red mist here - the driver of the Vauxhall was totally in the wrong here. The right thing to do would have been to slow right down, indicate left and wait (humbly) for another driver to let them in. Instead, they continued at the same speed, closing in on the Audi, and expecting it to give way - all the time putting their car into the path of oncoming traffic. At the end of the day, traffic police and insurance companies will look at who was in the right place, and who wasn't.
Terrible driving - but why bother deliberately accelerating to close the gap and to run yourself up the kerb (which is what happened)? Why the need to make a point? Just let idiots get on with their day, and let them ruin someone else's.

I drive a Vauxhall Mokka and I have to say, Insignia drivers tend to be complete knobs! I think its because its used as a company car quite often and simply these wannabes think they're god's gift to the world. Also whenever I overtake an Insignia, it makes all sorts of attempts to overtake me back - myself and my wife always have a wager on whether the Insignia will turn savage or not hahaha

They were both in the wrong to some degree. The vauxhall ran a red light in the wrong lane which is more serious but the orange guy was vindictive in speeding up to prevent the vauxhall from safely moving into the correct lane. That was dangerous as well. But to add I do have some sympathy for the orange guy but it's better to have took a deep breath and let the vauxhall through for safety in general.

The brass neck on that insignia. If you accidentally go in the wrong lane, which we all do sometimes, either stop, indicate and wait for someone to let you in or just carry on down the wrong road and turn around when its safe.
Being a good driver is all about knowing that you and others can do mistakes. When you are in a situation like this you simply slow down and let the other driver in in front of you. Otherwise you are not much better yourself.
That was not a mistake. That was an intentional cut-in-line. It would've been good if no one had let the Insignia merge with the other traffic participants. That would teach him/her a lesson not to cut in line like a total douche.
It would've helped him learn a lesson. As for the driver, he could've just kept going forward like they normally would and let the douche try to merge in when someone else would allow him to. No stress for the Audi driver; just for the douche..

You are supposed to maintain your safe distance and take a deep breath and let them go on their way - no matter what they have done, taking them on with a 2 ton lump of metal on a public highway with other road users around is not good driving.

The Vauxhall is clearly in the wrong lane, either by mistake or with the intention of jumping the queue of traffic, however, the Audi driver is the aggressor on this occasion as he purposely accelerates to stop the Vauxhall driver from getting in front almost causing a collison.
if the tt got suspention damage or you hurt your neck (whiplash) because you had to swerve off the road to avoid an accident then for sure take them to court and claim big money.

IDK the Audi Driver (While not in the wrong) would've been better off just slowing down to let him in; at the end of the day speeding up wasn't really helping. The Insignia driver was in the wrong in the first place, but he DID NOT push the TT driver off the road; The TT was behind the Insignia and the driver mounted the kerb as part of his desperate and aggressive attempt to stop the Insignia getting into "his" lane.
Personally had I been the person speaking during this video I would of done the following: Call the police immediately and report it and secondly, call the driver of the Audi TT (like this person seemed to do towards the end of the footage) and tell (or ask) him to back off and let the Vauxhall Insignia pass. Although it isn't the Audi TT drivers responsibility for the young child in the Vauxhall Insignia it was still irresponsible of him to continue the road rage knowing there was a young child in the car. The police take matters like this extremely seriously and they would of been there in a matter of minutes especially given the fact he was endangering the life of a minor. Like I said, just my opinion.

I know this road, it leads up to Colne and if you don't know it its very easy to get stuck in that outside lane and people generally there won't let you back in. As much as the insignia was in the wrong, its clear the Audi closed the gap on purpose.
A few cooler heads would have prevented all that agro.
I did read in the local paper that the junction is going to be changed so people can't switch lanes at the top as this kind of thing is a common problem. While people not merging in turn or letting people change lanes is a problem I suspect the Insignia driver here was deliberately trying to shove past everyone as he was gunning it through the lights to get ahead of as many cars as possible rather than calmly trying to move over politely. He could have slowed, indicated and moved into the fairly large space in front of the driver filming but he just had to get past one more car.

I can totally see why the TT driver got the red mist here - the driver of the Vauxhall was totally in the wrong here. The right thing to do would have been to slow right down, indicate left and wait (humbly) for another driver to let them in. Instead, they continued at the same speed, closing in on the Audi, and expecting it to give way - all the time putting their car into the path of oncoming traffic. At the end of the day, traffic police and insurance companies will look at who was in the right place, and who wasn't.
Terrible driving - but why bother deliberately accelerating to close the gap and to run yourself up the kerb (which is what happened)? Why the need to make a point? Just let idiots get on with their day, and let them ruin someone else's.

The Vauxhall is clearly in the wrong lane, either by mistake or with the intention of jumping the queue of traffic, however, the Audi driver is the aggressor on this occasion as he purposely accelerates to stop the Vauxhall driver from getting in front almost causing a collison.

The Insignia driver was in the wrong in the first place, but he DID NOT push the TT driver off the road; The TT was behind the Insignia and the driver mounted the kerb as part of his desperate and aggressive attempt to stop the Insignia getting into "his" lane.
Personally had I been the person speaking during this video I would of done the following: Call the police immediately and report it and secondly, call the driver of the Audi TT (like this person seemed to do towards the end of the footage) and tell (or ask) him to back off and let the Vauxhall Insignia pass. Although it isn't the Audi TT drivers responsibility for the young child in the Vauxhall Insignia it was still irresponsible of him to continue the road rage knowing there was a young child in the car.
The police take matters like this extremely seriously and they would of been there in a matter of minutes especially given the fact he was endangering the life of a minor. Like I said, just my opinion.

But yeh when theres lives at stake just let it go. Makes sense. When it comes to driving, we should allwork together to stamp out dangerous and inconsiderate driving. You wouldnt be saying just let him go if further down the road he tried this crazy stunt on someone else and wiped out a pedestrian or another car. Well that's exactly my point, when there's lives at stake, let it go. Sure, stand up to bullies when it's practical. But the driver in this video was clearly mental, and the other driver shouldn't get into a duel with them if they're just going to escalate things.
The road isn't a place for dick measuring, safety should come first. And tbh, I doubt that either of them learnt anything from this, they both probably thought they were in the right.
