One of the biggest questions I get with recent Huawei mobiles is how to get big apps like Whatsapp on there, since Google services are MIA. From Phone Clone to APKs, there are a few methods - and here's how to get started.
Following that we take a closer look at some of my favourite features on the P40, Pro & Plus, including the smart camera tools. You can now edit the heck out of your photos, removing unwanted background peeps and reflections as just a couple of examples.
I also run through some of those greatest EMUI 10.1 bits, including the one handed mode, air gestures, the always on display and plenty more besides.

Quick update, some viewers kindly pointed out that Netflix is now working on the P40s. First time I tried copying the app over it wouldn't play anything, but I've tried again via APK and now it's streaming just fine using my personal account. Huzzah! Thanks to everyone who commented :)

I just bought a P40 Pro a couple of days ago, phone cloned my apps from the Mate 30 Pro I was using before. One of the apps I cloned was Netflix and can confirm it's working. I watched Underworld Evolution today on my P40 Pro.

Hey, great video! Quick question, are the textless icons on the Dock an EMUI 10 feature, or is it specific to devices later than the P20 Pro as my device still shows the text :)

Is there any chance you could test if UK banking apps like Lloyds, Nationwide, Santander and Skipton work please. Would be very much appreciated as I can't find anywhere if they work. Also another great video :)
Actually Netflix works just fine, give it a shot. I know its weird it works, but it does.

You can log into gmail with the huawei email app.. And another nice feature is huawei music but you have to go and change the settings for online play in the music app.Onlinevideo app also cool sadly only available in some regions
Can TH-cam be downloaded as an apk or does it require Google Services to run?

It wasn't really advertised by Huawei at all! LG and Google made such a fuss about it and Huawei is oh yeah i forgot that we got that too somewhere buried in the settings 😆. I know that Google's version is a bit more sophisticated but still it should have been advertised a bit more!
there is a new gesture in EMUI10.1, you can fast switch background programs by a fast slide (from R to L or L to R)at the bottom of the screen. Try this!

It won't work in dim lighting. Too bad it doesn't use the infrared as the face unlock does.

It's easy. Apk pure is the real deal. Watch the video from Gadget Match, Netflix and TH-cam works on P40 when downloaded from apkpure. I used it before and it is good.

I'm debating getting this phone as there's no Google services. I have the Huawei mate 20 lite.
I'm on my Mate 20 and I'm also faced with this dilemma.. I love the camera and the other companies just can't make cameras as good as Huawei's.
