Nice restoration man, that's awesome your as young as you are, and doing this kind of stuff. I know money is hard to come by at your age, but if your gonna keep that bike and ride it, I would defiantly suggest getting some proper side plastics at some point. Your idea is really inventive, and I always love seeing improvisations like that, but if your out ripping around, and have a little crash, there is a chance that aluminum will slice your leg pretty good.
Thanks man I’ve sold the bike now but I rounded the edges of as best I could because of that and made it clear to the new owner that they weren’t original ( although now I’m a bit worried about someone else getting hurt because of my fix) I think it’s quite unlikely thanks for your concern tho and taking the time to comment .
I’ve now sold the bike for £500 which is a £360 profit minus a few paint cans sand paper etc could have probably got a bit more for it but I wanted a quick sale so I can move onto the next project
I also did my DR 125, check it on my channel if you want. I have to say that you are pretty creative especially with that side covers :) Looks fine, keep it on the road 👍
Great job!! I also just recently finished my DR125!!
Thank man
