In the context of the game they’re probably actually referring to 7.62x54R (7.62x39 wasn’t really used until after the war) and 7.92x57 as it was used far more than 7.92x33 (K98, MG42, FG42, G43 vs one gun in the StG44).
the RPD used the x39 cartridge and was developped/deployed in 1944, almost nobody knows it but it did saw combat in germany. even tho th x54r was ALOT more common

My best friend from childhood and I spent countless hours playing Der Riese on bo1, it was his absolute favorite map despite us playing it once a day and me wanting to play the other maps…
…he died from a drug overdose two years ago and it’s been such a difficult time since. No one can really relate to me as I’m only 22 and losing your lifelong best friend isn’t exactly a super common occurrence that people share when you’re in college. This is the one song that reminds me the most of him.
Since the ps3 was before our time for capturing clips of us playing, this song is all I have to remember our hundreds of times camping together on that catwalk, sharing thousands of laughs and amazing moments. Whenever I hear the chorus, I can still hear him faintly singing along…
I know we’re all super nostalgic of this song and I’m sure a lot of you have similar stories about how much this song brings you comfort and nostalgia, so I just wanted to share my story with it too.

Normally, i'm not a fan of the whole screamo thing in songs, but Elena Siegman is an exception for two reasons:
1)The point is that it's being sung by a demon, so it makes sense to be a demonic voice/style
2)She's just so damn good at it

I just wanna thank my father who is in the hospital right now for everything he has done, he was breathing heavily and was sleeping before my mom had called the emergence and I just hope that he's ok right now because if it wasn't for him I wouldn't know about this masterpiece of course I'm happy for many other things, my mom has Ms and something else and I'm 12 years old I know kids shouldn't be playing cod yeah yeah, but my father has done everything I mean everything for me and my mom thank god he's still alive. I just wanna thank Kevin and treyarch for everything too.. it's already two months he's slowly recovering he left the hospital in October,...the dialysis center said he isn't gonna make it but he switched to an another and better one I just hope he gets better really soon we hardly have any money since he wasn't ever able to pay any of the cards..I just hope I'm dreaming and ill wake up soon because September is an nightmare now..💔

6am in the morning after waking to take medicine; reminiscing over how I can never go back to the days of playing Zombies on the Xbox, doing Easter Eggs, learning Zombies lore, and hanging out with other huge nerds n shit.
I've changed so much since then that I'm hardly the same person, and I'm honestly so much happier where I am. However, I do wish I could go back and tell them fucking lovely people how much they meant to me and how much they helped me want to stay alive during some of the roughest years of my life. Life was fucking rough and my family fought a lot and had little money; I worked with my dad to earn money for video games and Xbox live, but everyday after getting home from school I would be able to just get on the Xbox and play my heart out...
