@@jacquelinerodriguez3213HARSH? You’re saying you would let your sister date a drunk driver that could kill, not once, twice but 3 times? And on top of that…he doesn’t have much time to spend with your sister. That’s not a loving, lover relationship. He was user her and she was letting him. Truth hurts.

You know he had to give up his license to be on TV correct? This means he does not need to renew his license annually, which every other therapist in the country does. This means he is not up to date with SO MUCH! and that is apparent. He has not had his license since he started on TV, this means he is a TV personality, not a therapist.

Been a rough time with life, then today I worked a 12 hr day (I'm a nurse) and mid shift my manager made us aware that one of my coworkers who just worked nights and talked to me that morning was driving home from work and got in a car accident that was fatal. When Dr Phil talks about protecting families from progress and how terrible it is that language is being changed, and how you can't say what you want anymore, it's pretty obvious he sees trans people like me and any policies that support us as the enemy. Then, for Nick to say radicals on "both sides" are the problem is just a glaringly irresponsible thing to say on the verge of our next election, where our democracy is at stake. It's just disgusting to me. I'm along-timee fan. I remember when Nick Viall spoke up for Black Lives Matter. It's increasingly obvious he is doing whatever is financially advantageous to him. And principles are either not important or he has his head in the sand about what it means to support anyone with a right wing agendsla in today's world of encroaching fascism.

Loved this! I watched Dr. Phil so much while raising my kids & so many nuggets of his stuck. Even after divorce, I encouraged my daughter’s father to go on “dates” w/ her. He would pick her up from my house and take her to dinner, even bring her flowers & just spent one on one time w/her. It showed her she was important, their conversations showed her what she said/felt mattered. It was inspired by a statement Dr. Phil made “I’m worth more because my daddy showed me I’m worth more”. She’s now an adult, and her bf adores her & treats her so well. Even if it doesn’t work out, I’m confident in her “picker”. So much of who I am as a parent was from learning from him. My adult kids are incredible people and I’m so proud of that. Thank you Dr. Phil! 🙏

When are we going to start blaming the corporations and our government that doesn't provide our citizens with the expenses and resources for ppl to start a family? I'm a 34 y/o married woman, with no kids, a college education and a MBA and 2 full time careers, and we still can't afford a child. Stop telling me that I'm the problem when I've done everything this society has told me to do without properly supporting me and my family's future. It's not entitlement when we are asking for the bare minimum to survive.

He is advising the person he is talking to for her benefit. A lawyer doesn’t advise both sides for the benefit of everyone involved. They advise their client for their benefit. You can’t save everyone and the wife will find out one way or another he’s telling her to protect her peace and move on, especially since she only wanted to tell the wife to hurt the husband.

I don't always agree with Dr. Phil, but he did something here today that I enjoyed. When he asked "what are you pretending to not know," or however he phrased it, it was a legit question, and despite the caller's initial apprehension towards answering it or not understanding the question, he stood his ground. And that ground standing got her thinking and moved her closer to uncovering some potential truths. Eventually she landed on, "well I guess I'm pretty far down the list of what's important to him." That's the sign of an effective clinician.

Dr Phil is the only guest that’s ever felt like I’m listening to mainstream media. Old people have these fear mongering right wing views disguised as centrism. Blegh

The problem with "experts" is that sometimes they tell you the truth and sometimes they tell you want they know you want to hear or whatever agenda they're told to sell. The best thing parents can do for their kids is tell them the truth about how life really is, especially fathers. So they don't end up delusional and messed up like the callers Nick talks to every week.
There is a contradiction between what Dr. Phil said to Nick and what he told the callers.

I moved to Germany a few years ago, from California, and it was such a culture shock to see children walking around in these villages all alone. Children that were under 10, they were using public transportation, sometimes with another child but also alone. And I was blown away because I hadn't seen that since I was a child (born in 88 and grew up in a very small town). The culture here is to give them that independence and trust and they dont have the same worry about the child being preyed upon if they are alone. Even today I still immediately wonder if they should be alone, when I see them. But it seems to be a non issue.
