It probably would be easier to build an orbital drop system similar to "Odin" from COD:Ghosts, that would just drop kinetic impactors to obliterate Kaiju, than to build fully functional skyscraper tall wrestler robot. Probably would cause less collateral as well.
That would work for the first few Kaiju, but then they'd be made to counter that. Given that the Kaiju don't just collapse under their own weight already, they can probably be made to withstand a hypersonic tungsten projectile to the face. Failing that, they could be made fast enough to dodge instead. The benefit of the Jaegers is that they can adapt on the fly, so they're harder to counter. That said, at the end of the day the entire premise relies on the fact that Kaiju and Jeagers fight each other, everything else is justification for that.

Still not gonna lie, ending was great
I was hoping they did die at the end, at least it would be more emotional instead of that fake tention
Nah that's pretty mid
I expect more than hit to the head by blunt force from falling object out of nowhere
It's like the villain got defeated by coconut
The sound effects is very good, even the CGI
Still mad they gave the ability to join together like a megazord to the aliens. If they formed a "mega-jaegar" that wouldve been so badass
Impressive how good the fan made sequels can look visually, good job!
This is the second best scene in the whole movie, the first was November Ajax's appearance
This movie was textbook "spectacle over substance"... But damn, what a spectacle.
@@ryankrage77 Rule of Cool ruled entertainment... These days it is "MESSAGE of Woke".
Oh yeah. In Ghosts, those things wrecked the entirety if the USA and woke up the Cryptids. They could def destroy the Kaijus

"I've got the mass."
"Solid copy, hit em hard boss."

I miss Gipsy Avenger as I do for Gipsy Danger, and most of the other Jaegers with pilots.
Atleast There in the hall of Heroic Jaegers
They still have Obsidian Fury's body back at the base, I hope they turn him into a Gipsy Mk. III if they make a sequel
@@slvrcobra1337 Yeah, and maybe they would be able to repair the Jaegers that weren't destroyed, but damaged by Kaiju Jaeger hybrids with the the three others in this battle (Guardian Bravo, Saber Athena, and Bracer Phoenix).
3:23 it's like jumping from a falling elevator just before impact, physics won't work like that way
if the ceiling of the elevator was high enough it would work
@@matthijsvanemous7046That’s not true. If you are falling with a platform, you would need to put more force in your jump off of said platform then the force of the falling platform. This is why you can’t just jump out of a moving car and be fine or jump out of a falling plane without affect.
"I can weld it to your hand"
You're welding...
A fully loaded booster...
Using plasma...
On the tank...
Not even on the center of gravity...
Of something too heavy to even achieve lift-off...
And it somehow brings it across a country.
Guess my physics lessons lied to me.

@@scottlarock7924 the good ending
Actually doesn't really sound like a good criticism. The whole concept of the Jaegers doesn't work in the first place xd
@@costantinemf4207 Have you seen how much technology around robots is being improved within the last few years? We went from drones being the top of the line to bipedal being the norm. Jaegers aren't exactly a scientific impossibility. Sure they're improbable, highly inefficient, mostly useless compared to other systems, and not worth their cost, but they're possible.

20 KILOMETERS GET OUT OF THERE! that shit had me rolling.
thats just slightly over a minuet of falling to unhook and get into the pod, thats not alot of time
Despite the flaws of the sequel it’s nice to see Gipsy Danger was used as a nuclear payload to stop the Precursors and Gipsy Avenger used as an orbital bombardment battering ram to stop the Mega Kaiju.
They were both brave and fearless in their sacrifices!!!
best double superman punch EVER
Ah yes. Mega "Vs" Gipsy Avenger. Really stands out amongst other "Fight Scenes." Remember Slattern vs Striker in the first movie? Where they didn't interact at all until the Striker detonated? Or how about Baryonyx vs Lava in JWFK? Better yet, what about Godzilla vs Kong? My favorite part was where Godzilla fought Mokele Mbembe offscreen.
My point here is, this is only a VS in the loosest possible sense. This movie is hollow in comparison to the original.
agreed, everything about this movie is a downgrade. Personally i would say this movie is below average where as the original was very very good. Its like the pacific rim world just dumbed down a few notches in the 2nd movie. Its like all the characters became teen drama show characters (outside of the actual teen characters in this movie )
I'm getting Indiana jones saved by fridge scene here. Plus the flying tank scene from the A team.
Soooo.. the whole front is flaming but the pilots are okay?? Hmmm!!!!!
The bigger the mass the raiser they burn
cause Space Shuttles dont do the same.... This is a movie with exotic materials..
@@mr.wilson7270 Still doesn't explain the giant exposed hole to the pilots and the flaming hot fire.
@@Tinku1899 The hole in the rear on the head? The flames being in the front.. Thermal dynamics can be weird and different materials disperse heat differently. Just don't over think it to much bud.
@@mr.wilson7270 Rear?? Bruhh!!!
1:21 it shows whole front of cockpit gone, so technically there's nothing shielding them.
1:35 flames visible representing they've achieved enough velocity (keep in mind there's still nothing in front which protects the pilots or their fully exposed face).
Hell they even break the sound barrier at 2:05, now I'm not an expert but in damn sure anything at that speed will f*ck humans up specially without any protection.

No plot armor would be thick enough to survive that
Why does there have to be so many young children piloting the Jaegers and it looks so more unrealistic than the first movie tho the fight against obsidian or whatever his name was, was very cool, I loved that fight
New power ranger movie looks so amazing
Gipsy Avenger: you smell like you farted. 3:27
Rewatched the first one recently. That movie was incredible. Insane qaulity cgj that still holds up and the story telling made a super fleshed out world with just 2 hours run time.
Ever seen what happens when someone jumps out of a speeding car? He lands safe and sound apparently.
I always think when seeing this scene wow why do people hate this movie so much? It’s so cool and then I remember they killed Mako-
Now serving Sweet n Sour Kaiju.
I know physics were known existent in this scene but that monster got absolutely bodied. 😂
Loved the first one. This one... meh.
one of the best explosions in cinema. ngl
Totally missing the point of drifting between the pilot's mind, with all the constant shouting and REALLY cringy script
WORST SEQUEL EVER
Yea I noticed that too
Its just a movie who cares
Gipsy avenger when dropping from atmosphere: *dead*
Gipsy danger dropping from the same altitude: Light work no reaction.

IT'S TIME OF THE BOOM!!!!!
1:45 - someone got inspiration from the A-Team's "flying tank" sequence.
Say what you want, but an orbit punch from a mech is awesome. 😂😁
The way he got fly up with rocket and rocket lose the power I imagine he said "to infinity and beyond" hahahaha
That was a direct blow to the face
Writer must have really been fan of the "going to save the world" line! Used at least once in every scene! 🤦
2:25 Haha, GLaDOS be like "Nah. You human trash can die along with me."
How do you target lock onto the side of a mountain, with the mass of an entire falling mecha, that wasn't even designed to fly, and had to use an improvised method of course correction to stay on course?
It said so in the script, that's how

Pacific rim feels like an anime
Destroyer of logic
Meteorite from space
The Mega Kaiju killer
Gipsy Avenger
That's... some amazing aim!
over a minute and a half of falling from maybe 50 thousand feet at mach 1... smh
Faster. They were still accelerating all the way to impact. Possibly mach 2 or better.
I've never actually wanted to watch Pacific rim but now I'm really interested by it so I'm gonna watch it on Friday maybe
That's not how an orbital drop would look, even remotely. It would go right through his body, into the ground and no fucking visible shockwave.
I can’t wait for pacific rim 2
This is Pacific Rim 2. They showed the first one in the beginning
SONIC BOOM
Film had so much potential instead we got teenagers with attitude 😐 think they should start a series from the very beginning and forget that this film even happened
physics is completely wrong on this.. when a rocket runs out of fuel the object should proceed to keep going upwards. For instance. The height reached by a rocket is 7 times the height at which the fuel runs out.
i would question the rocket even strong enough to lift Jaeger that high in the first place
I don't know why people hate this movie
Ik they did so hard for this..
