I remember this being at the table as a child back in 60's. I've noticed it a lot now in a small collection of Slovenian cookbooks I've put together. Thanks for this historic bit from the culture's kitchen and your family. Great video, outstanding.
Fascinating! Always been my favorite sausage since I was a kid with my Slovenian grandma and aunties. Never knew so many different ingredients went into it! Its such a unique blood sausage compared to other cultures - and by far the best. Thanks for sharing!
It truly is such a delicious sausage. Have you had the other kinds there is a barley, a buckwheat and a white kaša (hulled millet). They’re all so good! 🫶🏼
I subscribed love the Slovenian Kitchen my Father is Slovenian and my Mother is Macedonian, i was born in USA but the Balkan cuisine feels like home ❤ \o/
Yummy! Thank you for sharing. I use to have Biroldo when i was small growing up with my family. The small Italian delicatessen would always have them and we would buy a whole rope. We would slice it thick and eat it cold with Fontina cheese and italian rustic baguette. ❤
Ooooh, I haven't had this in years! My Stari Ata used to make it. I think my Kuma still has the meat grinder he used (that thing would survive a nuclear explosion. It's super heavy duty😂).
