    Sometimes it’s so hard to just take that first step on your mat or off of your phone but I find that everything else begins to fall into place once we take that first step

    Sometimes I hug myself, cry and imagine myself speaking to my hurt inner child to tell her that she is safe and loved. Thank you so much for sharing your experience and methods. I appreciated how you talked about screaming near a body of water and howling at the moon, very healing.

    I never realized how humans can relate so similarly in this world. It’s rejuvenating to realize not everyone is doing wonderful 100% of the time. It’s okay to feel all your emotions. It’s how we let go 💜

    I do the "message to your empty / anxious / heavily depressed self" journaling. When you're having a really good day, I know these things are probably not on your mind as much since you're just excited to do all the life things you're now so excited about but it's been really helpful for me to read _in vivid detail_ how I feel when I'm loving life. At least in my depression and anxiety, the bad feelings color my past, present and future. As if there's only death, guilt, sorrow and madness and nothing else has ever been there and never will. As we know, that's not the truth. And reading that, written by yourself, really helps.

    Cleaning my house, reading a book, cooking, hiking and just generally doing nice things for myself help gently pull me out of my lows. Incorporating a morning meditation practice in bed has also helped a bit recently. Thanks for sharing your journey

    Ever since I was little I started having a feeling of emptiness in my spirit. I wasn’t hungry and I wasn’t thirsty but then I started reading the bible and it makes me feel full and loved.

    Some things that help me:
    - talking out loud positive thoughts and affirmations over my negative thoughts/ telling my negative thoughts that I am stronger than them until they disappear
    - watching your videos :)

    Side note- was someone holding the camera or is this a new editing technique you learned on skillshare? The shaky frames really made it seem like a home movie or something, more relevant, more down-to-earth, more human, I noticed it and it made all the difference :)

    I understand so well, i was depressed for about 2 years. I still have those feelings sometimes. I do not take my phone with my to bed. First thing in the morning, say i am grateful for... yoga. Meditation.. Then i can have my phone for a little bit but after that i read, or work of course, eat. And yes social media can be so depressing. Oh and huge tip: cold showers! Helps with anxiety. Also, journaling and i read tarot cards. I clean my house as well with sage.

    thank you for posting this! as spiritual beings the feeling of emptiness is so real. no one talks about the pain of a spiritual journey and we are expected to be high vibrational beings at all times so when we aren’t, we feel guilty within our practice and maybe think “my manifestations won’t come now bc i’m being negative” and it’s not a good way to think. i appreciate this and how helpful it is to get back on a higher vibration even when you’re feeling low.💗

    I try to connect to the energies of my ancestors and the Indian spiritual masters, like Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa, Sri Anandamayi Ma, Swami Vivekananda, Paramahamsa Yogananda, and others. Finding solace in their energy shows me the way home. Praying to dieties I connect to like Sri Krishna, Kali Ma, and meditating on the energy of the Buddha is also really healing for me. Also, connecting with my mothers - my mom and mother earth - always reminds me that I'm just a child in this big vast world and is always comforting.

    I have never met anyone or heard of anyone who has experienced these feelings. I literally stopped in my tracks when you mentioned howling. That is something I do in my most sacred times.       If you initially set yourself only a very small goal - 1 minute of meditation for the day - you will probably also experience that this 1 minute can be realized many times over the course of the day. Wishing you and your child all the best!

    Yes, I do. It’s important to feel. Yet, it’s healthy to not staying in the lower energies. I know you know. I fall into icky habits. We are learning. I know how to stay in my higher vibrations, being an empath you get to challenge your boundaries to keep connected to your heart & body.

    i’ve been thinking about how I too feel numb in my body and how I can stimulate it from the inside out and this video was super helpful in that. Meditating is hard for me concerning adhd, and I like the concept of feeling every part of my body and not like i’m just a mind.

    ive always talked the moon or to myself my whole life that i can remember, it was always so helpful. For some reason i dont rlly talk to myself much anymore. Ive been doing a lot more writing and journaling instead, but i miss the deep conversations i had with the moon. The moon really was and is my only friend. Im 13 and ive been super lonely so just let me know if you wanna try and be friends. Introverts love to be alone, but it can also just get very lonely and im here for u if u need anyone to talk to :)

    Ah Hitomiii, you are so beautiful inside and outside. I have definitely been feeling like this lately. Sometimes I find myself in this space as well due to the same things - reading the news, seeing what’s going on, seeing all the suffering… it’s so reassuring that I’ve been seeing a lot of others also feeling like this too. We are never alone, all of us have these days and I believe sharing our experiences really helps us all feel connected.
