I worked as a manager in a movie theater when this came out and we posted signs everywhere stating that this was not a children’s Christmas movie. Stupid people still brought their kids and then complained halfway through the movie and wanted their money back. I absolutely love every minute of this movie. John Ritter is hysterical.😂
I went to see the second one in the theatre and had people get up and walk out a few minutes in. Who the hell goes to a sequel without seeing the first one, its not even as if it was one of those ambiguous names like some sequels, its just 'Bad Santa 2'
This even happened with Jurassic Park. I remember being in the theater when a steady train of crying toddlers and elementary school age kids dragged their parents out of the cinema.
My best friend invited me to watch it the day before Christmas when it just came out. We were drunk out of our minds and it has been my favorite Christmas movie ever since. Loved your reaction!
I watched this movie when it was released in the theaters. Seen this many many times since. Never laughed so hard in my life. Especially the scenes with John Ritter and Bernie Mac where the awkwardness of the conversations was palatable, but so funny. (RIP to both). Great casting, funny writing, and it did have that Christmas heart at the end. And Billy Bob Thorton was the perfect choice to be that bad Santa. Fun reaction. Well done.
They call the safe that’s so hard to open the “Kintner Boy Redoubt” - this is a homage to the movie Jaws where the kid killed by the shark is the “Kintner boy”.
Well, I'm sure you can find one... at a church, a country fair, Republican National Convention, NRA convention, CPAC convention, or a livestock auction.
@@FLQueerLiberal1982You are out of touch. Girlfriends still like making sandwiches for their men, no matter their politics. What makes these women different is that they are happy and do not scapegoat by gender or race, you could learn from that.
Fun Fact: Ethan Coen of the Coen Brothers (Fargo, Raising Arizona, The Big Lebowski, No Country for Old Men, etc.), though he gets no screen credit, helped write several scenes for the film including Thornton’s opening monologue and his scene in the bathtub.
Yes, yes, YES!! My all-time favorite Christmas movie! I laughed so much, so hard the first time I saw it that I bruised a rib. And it was WORTH IT. Thanks LttP! Merry Christmas and Happy Three B's to all!🎅
My introduction to Tony Cox was Shelley Duvall's Fairytale Theatre on Showtime in Snow White and the Seven Dwarves. I watched that so much as a child, and it was great to see his career take off after that.
22:22 that’s a real awesome true laugh! I love it! You too are great! I saw a reactor named Mary cherry that watched this and the “do you like kids” answer hd her crying and snorting she laughed so hard, I absolutely love seeing hysteria laughing from people , keep up the great work!

I had the pleasure of meeting Billy Bob Thornton after a Boxmasters concert! So cool and he signed my dvd leaflet of the special edition DVD of Sling Blade! Speaking of Sling Blade, John Ritter was also in that along with BBT.
that's cool I didn't know you were in Arizona , I live in Arizona Mesa north east side , right off the 202 & Brown Rd. The past couple days were in the mid high 80s.. finally it's cooling off again
This movie is a legend and so everyone in it. I'd thought about it. It's known for being beloved for it's vulgarity but a lowbrow take on a charming story isn't anything new. If you think about this Scrooge is even an incredibly dark and malicious story. It's that contrast that makes the heart of this more potent, as the sadness in life gives the happiness in it meaning. Or the joy of Christmas pierces the freezing cold. But above it it's this ensemble of talent. That's what really carved this one stone and made it stand out. Not the dirty jokes, you can find that anywhere. And yeah it has been chilly here. My yardwork is officially cancelled. It's all good, plenty else inside to work on.
Another movie directed by Terry Zwigoff that you should check out is Ghost World. It's a lot more abstract than this, but it's interesting and fun. It's somewhat of a cult classic. (I also like the Zwigoff movie Art School Confidential, but I feel like only about 15 people have ever seen it.)
He was also on Benson back in the late '70s and early '80s. He was the governor's press secretary or something, got married to Benson's secretary and when the actress left the show, he's character had to leave as well. The actress who played the secretary I believe also came out in Star Trek TNG or something, pretty sure.
This was just disturbingly hilarious... Yes, there ARE chicks who really have a thing for Santa 'round about this time of year. FIXING Sandwiches has been a peeve of mine since watching this 20 years ago, as if the sandwiches are BROKEN!
"Roger" 😚😚😂😂 let me fix you some sandwiches....., you guys thank you for the giggles, i truley do love this movie for reason i will not go into, Subbed. have a good one
A true classic that's wait... it's a year from turning 20 years old? Whaaaa? Gawd I'm getting old. It's also crazy to think, aside from one background character, everyone in this movie has either passed away or their careers have.

#RIP to both legendary comedy giants Bernie Mac & John Ritter.
The John Ritter/Bernie Mac scenes are a masterclass in comedy
Legends gone way to damn soon.
@@krono5elyes, yes, yes...😢
"What is it with you and making fucking sandwiches?" can be heard in my household at least once a week. Hilarious reaction 👍🏻
As a legitimate alcoholic, I can attest that Billy Bob Thornton's portrayal of alcoholism is spot on lol
When the kid keeps screaming “ow!” it sounds like he’s on a fucking loop lol
"I know there's no Santa, I just thought maybe you'd wanna give me a present cause we're friends." Destroys me every time.
It's amazing that this movie still makes me laugh out loud after countless viewings.
My best friend invited me to watch it the day before Christmas when it just came out. We were drunk out of our minds and it has been my favorite Christmas movie ever since. Loved your reaction!
This is one of my favorite movies. It's definitely a rewatch every Christmas season without failure 😂.

This movie does indeed make me tear up. It's hilarious but it hits the heart just as well as the funny bone

Agree. It has a similar feel.
Willy feels guilty puts a pill inside the advent calender 🙃
Very funny movie, Billy Bob really is a talented actor. He's also awesome in Fargo
I didn't know Joe Arpaio trained the Phoenix PD. I just thought he was the crooked Sheriff of Maricopa County.
Lauren Tom is known more as voice actress.
oh man here we go again, Willy on the beach, owning the bar ahahahaha 🤣🤣
The moment when they think she is dead....... oh my gosh, she scares the shit outta them, wakes up and says.... " let me fix you some sandwiches " 😂
You got every actor in this movie except for the dad in prison (Ethan Phillips) He played Neelix in Star Trek Voyager
Never seen Star Trek Voyager.

" And pull yer damn pants up "
BAD SANTA 2 is almost as funny as this, so it's pretty dang good.
I watch this movie a long time ago when I was a kid
You should watch part 2 it’s just as funny and you met Willie’s mom.
You recorded the happy birthday to EOM on the same day you reacted to this.
