In this video I share with you an upcoming HUGE project I've been working on for the past year and a half! And I also teach you how to make and attach an adjustable shoulder strap to your handbag projects! The technique I teach you here is a lot of fun, easier than some other techniques and the results are a super sleek and professionally finished shoulder strap. There are no exposed raw edges anywhere and you can take your bag from cross body to a shoulder bag in a few seconds. ! I think you will enjoy incorporating this technique in your next bag project.
My new VIDEO BAG OF THE MONTH CLUB will be released soon and if you want to be kept in the loop about it make sure you add your email to this list: craftygemini.com/newsletter/

Love that you not only show how to make bags but that you offer instruction on elements of it. Such as the strap video. I spent way to much time on it until I watched your video. As a newbie, I really appreciate your tips. Your enthusiasm is great!

You are such a good teacher. I like that you explain why you do this or that, like why you don't sew the straps together with a straight line. I saw that in another video and it didn't make any sense to me since the person didn't explain. Thank you!

At last!!! I now feel confident enough to do an adjustable slider strap, I have done a couple of bags for my Daughter but had to consider her height for crossover bags straps as once made they couldn’t be adjusted! Thank you Vanessa, you are the only one that has explained and shown how to attach them, I have looked through many bag book illustrations but always got confused. Sonia from uk x

Thank you! I've watched several videos on this specific skill but your tutorial resonates. Honestly, I think it's because you're so up beat and positive and don't fill your videos with "watch out for pitfalls and errors" which are intended to be helpful but can be intimidating. Instead you focus on the steps and helpful tips.

Thank you for the sneak peak of bag #2. I have been a professional seamstress making and altering wedding gowns for 30 years. ( That sure makes me sound really old, but I started as a teen!) I have also done a little quilting over the years. I have purchased your 5 and 10 inch slicers and am excited to put them to use. I love bags and am also excited to join your bag of the month club! Thank you for sharing these sneak peaks.

I followed exact instructions using quilting cotton with woven interfacing. Strap was too thick to push through the one inch slider. Reduced strap width to 3 inches and has same result. Next time I won't interface ends of the strap.
