+donzag How did you resolve the issue of the hose being to thick and the connection being to long to sit inside the hose reel correctly? I've been in touch with Cleantec who haven't been able to resolve the issue? I think all I need is a smaller connector going to the back of the hose reel instead of the longer standard length hose connector. TIA

@@GoodLuggageAutomotiveDetailing It's definitely an improvement, and to get the best out of it I personally find it needed to be fully unravelled before being plugged into the machine and gun, otherwise it coils up like any other type of hose due to how heavy duty it has to be. I got the 30 meter length one, and naturally with the extra length you can really just crack on with it and leave the machine by the water outlet instead. It's not completely kink free as it still does get kinked, but to get the most of this, unravel it all before plugging it in. It's a pain with the longer 30 meter, but a lot better than the standard hose the pressure washer comes with. It was compatible with my quick release deluxe trigger gun you can find on in2detailing for £35 or so. Thank you again for this video mate.
i watched this vid and then went on ebay and bought a 20m hose for 23 pounds,,it was the same as the original one but a lot longer and even more kinks and wrestling,,so i came back and watched this vid again,,,and bought a 20m hose off cleantec ,,buy cheap buy twice,,many thanks for the solid info even if it took me a while to understand it,,,top man

really useful video, after watching i bought a 20m hose from cleantec and after it arrived yesterday I had to try it out, what a game changer, so much easier than the karcher hose
Ah man, theres no comparison at all, I would recommend the little rollers that go under wheels now for the hose so it doesnt get caught, such a small cheap item but work so well, especially with the length of the hose actually being able to go round the car!

I purchased the K5 compact due to it having the 8m hose and find it ok to get around the vehicles but if the hose wears or gets damaged I will try your selection so thanks for a very useful video, take care.

i have a bosch 125 its the same with standard hose ... so i looked in to upgrading my hose i looked in to direct hoses i got a bundles with 15m hose and stubby gun then i brought a upgraded 40° nozzle with 0.3 orifice upgrades sertonly males a diffrence in power 👍

Thanks, ordered! I was using an original 5m cable with adaptor to another 5m cable I had laying around ha, so annoyed with it twisting up spiralling, odd kinks and pain. Ordered a 15m cable now after seeing how relaxed and easy it makes it to use! :o I would highly recommend those quick release guns over the Karcher gun though! :)

Great video man!!! Im superhappy they deliver to belgium. Looked at another video and there they told me to buy at directhoses. They dont deliver to belgium.. got one from 15 metres like yours. Thanks for the hint man
It's obviously a longer version of the same that comes with the original karcher appliances, absolutely wrecked my head! Now with mine, a couple of velcro straps or something would be good to keep it together, that's the only pain of it being separate to the washer itself

I’ve finally got round to ordering it. The 10m karcher original one is crap plus I need something that is a good length to be paired with my K7 compact. I actually changed the order back to 15m and got the hose today. You were right its so much better than the standard karcher hose. It lays flat and no coiling. Cant wait to use it now 🤣
To be honest, as soon as i got my karcher k4 full control, the gun went straight in the bin. Shouldve of bought a basic one really, i replaced it with the pistol style gun with quick change ends on it, the best thing ive ever done. I just hated how plastic it was and how the fitting didnt seem very positive. The upgrade gun was only £30 off ebay with about 4 different end on it.
I just had a look, there's the k series hose and you can choose whatever size you want mate. I'm not affiliated with them or anything so cannot say whether they've changed or anything 👌🏻
I was looking for info on relaxing O-rings on the hose endsi was given a Deko pressure washer with bad O-rings. I need other parts like the detergent tank Cap.
The hose issue is common accros virtually the entire Karcher range as I've an HD 4/8 professional and the hose is the bloody same.... Its an utter joke

I dont think there is any such thing as anti twist, this hose does not kink anyway. Best bet is to buy the little rollers for under the wheels, do your best to keep the twists out of it when in use, and the rollers will stop it getting caught up in the tyres then 👍🏻

Is there a step up karcher I could get that has the improved quick release hose that stops the hose from twisting? The hose on some seems to be able to spin on the connector rather than mine which is a static fitment
The hose itself is an upgrade on it's own, I got mine from cleantec, then to stop the static you speak about, you need a 360 swivel head for a karcher fitment. I'm not sure who to go to for this as I dont have one so cant advise I'm afraid 👍🏻
anyone know if theres a way to change the quick connect to a regular pressure washer hose, like an adapter, i have a 100 foot hose i want to use on my karcher but it doesnt fit, its from my old karcher 1700 cube series but the k series comes with this stupid proprietary hose connection
Doesn't seem to anyway, not sure how to test but seems all good. Basically still the same back pressure and such a skinny hose doesn't seem to cause too much friction loss

Another company I heard of was direct hoses, they might be able to help. As regards the stubby it's €34.99 on the karcher site, I actually got mine off a friend of mine so not sure where they got it. If near dublin, karcher shop is up at the red cow roundabout, think they do delivery otherwise 👍🏻
I ordered mine two days ago and I got a Parcelforce tracking number to say it's now arrived in the Rep of Ireland. I'd imagine it will be here today Friday.

Good review thanks. I found the stubby trigger gun with quick release lances is a vast improvement over the Karcher handle.
Have gotten one in the mean time, waiting on a couple new attachments for a new video with even more upgrades you can get!
The factory fitted plastic hoses are awful to work with, i so need a longer rubber hose.
Top video, im buying one of them hoses for my K7 compact karcher. The kinking on the karcher hose is really bad.
I couldnt stand it, kept twisting and banging off the car when moving around!

You should get a swiveling gun, it makes a world of a difference

Not sure if it's the hose or the vario swivel but as long as it's a karcher figment it should 👍🏻, basically no reason why it shouldn't!

No pressure loss Robert, not significant enough size wise (width) do have much loss, always has back pressure with the lance on the end either way 👌

Yeah really does, I think it must come down to costs possibly, also the fact that it coils up tidy could be marketed as an advantage too!

I dont think there is any such thing as anti twist, this hose does not kink anyway. Best bet is to buy the little rollers for under the wheels, do your best to keep the twists out of it when in use, and the rollers will stop it getting caught up in the tyres then 👍🏻

Try reflect autocare in Dublin, explain what you need, they have lots of fittings etc that could fit or help you out 👌

This hose would be 12.5mm outer diameter. Single wire steel core, rubber wrapped.

I can't notice any difference really!
There will be no pressure drop of at this length. When you reach the long 30metre it can happen but would be hard to feel.

Tbh havnt noticed anything different, will do a small test and throw up the results on my insta channel @good_luggage 👌🏻
