Great Action and video. Not quite sure why they use those ridiculous reels for the very fast and hard fighting Salmon. I understand the long rods but a level wind reel with drag much better we use them on 30-57 lb Salmon. Also take the clicker off when reeling in, Please

They love their knuckle busters up there. But I will say Original design was mooching herring. You could strip line out when the salmon hit the bait to act like a wounded fish

I don’t know why they use them either. I worked for an Alaskan guide company and we only ran Penn levelwinds. I can’t stand those centerpin reels.

It's hilarious to me that a fly fishing rod is in the rod holder. If you're trolling, you're not fly fishing. I guess if you want to make it hard to catch them, then that's a good way to go
