  • +1-435-414-0245 - GOOD N USEFUL worldwide industry leader in innovative log splitter - Dog tie out - Ground anchoring systems - 4x4 winch anchor Made in USA
Our friend lives up this remote road approx 20 miles from the main road. He got his truck struck and had to walk, the approx. 3 miles remaining, home because he didn't have a way to pull it out.
We were able come a day later to help him get unstuck. We used the X-treme All-Tie Anchor post with a Cable jack to pull him out without any problems.
What the video doesn't show (because it would take tool long and it got dark and I couldn't film) is that once we got the truck out, the transmission didn't work and we had to cable jack it again up and out of the road to allow other vehicles to drive past.
Then we proceeded to drive him home which was tricky because the higher up we got the deeper the snow. Luckily, WE made it up and back without incident.
The All-Tie Anchor was very helpful. The ALL-TIE Anchor Post is a portable land anchoring device. The slide hammer makes it easy to drive the cross tip into, and out of, the ground.

If you're going to use a come along or Hi Lift to winch PLEASE lay a large towel or piece of canvas over the cable. In the event of the cable snapping, it will help prevent serious injury.

Cranking away on that come-along with your head right inline with the chain is a recipe for disaster. You are lucky your head isn't split wide open.

  • @bulistik5039

Wow dude! That was kind of scary to watch when you started cranking on that come along directly in line with the cable and chain. The anchor is pretty awesome. I would definitely try to rig a pulley to get out of direct line of everything. A steel upright 2 anchor, sign looking type aparatus that goes over the cable should be sold with that as a deflector shield or something lol.

The handles on those come-alongs will bend long before the cable breaks so highly unlikely to have parts flying around.

I like that tool. I never knew anyone built one of those. But I have been planning on building something like that. My idea came from my uncle. He was the ranch engineer of my family. And he built a slide hammer stake that swiveled to tie out cattle. It worked excellent. Thanks for showing this tool.

The anchor is pretty amazing. You may have just convinced me to get one of those anchors. The come-along and hook+chain jury rig... less so. Glad it ended up working out.
That Avalanche looks like he hasn't spent a penny on maintenance since he bought it. I had a 2003 Avalanche for several years and I found eBay to be an amazing resource for parts on the cheap. Even things like bumpers and cladding.

Really nice anchor just needs to swap out that old style hand winch for a power puller and dyneema rope and he would have a nice set up. Odd that he would spend over $300.00 on a fancy post but only have a $40.00 cheap hand winch instead of a Power-Puller as a winch.

It's also a touch odd to work in the line of directional force should the anchor work loose and smack him in the back because he's working in front of it backside on to it. Just sayin . That kind of rig has it's place . As a last resort without the wife and kid being in the way of heavy wire and a lump of steel

Nice anchor. Easy to drive in and get out. I spend a lot of time in that kind of habitat and as I watched was thinking about how to attach my portable winch using the existing vegetation, rocks, etc. And there wasn't much there, close, that looked like a good object to use as an anchor. And it looked like there were lots of rocks so difficult to dig a hole to plant something to use.
I buried my Toyota up to the front and rear axles (actually my brother did after I warned him) in a soft grassy low area just below timberline a bunch of years ago and that tool would have been ideal. Instead we had to jack it up and put chains on all four wheels.

I carry a portable 12 v winch with me in my Tacoma 4x4 and have both front and rear 2" draw bars. That way if I need to pull front I just swap off my trailer hitch with ball set to the front, and can stand to the side to pull my taco out. Being 69, that comealong has some uses but not for my back! Ha ha.
The winch has a plate base that slips over the ball, and leads that hook to the battery, even from the back.
