I've a E4300(with dead battery) with 160GB HDD, 4GB ram, wifi @ 802.11g running Win7. Just upgraded in 2021 to 250GB SSD, 8GB ram, wifi @ 802.11ac(with BT) and a brand new battery running Win10. Seriously, this E4300 can handle just about any typical work related stuff that you throw at it...eMails, Office, web surfing, vidcons... the only drawback is that it can get warm since it's running at close to 100% CPU when heavy lifting. It makes me really wonder whether all the new bells and whistles which the latest laptops have...are they really needed for simple everyday work. If you're gaming, that's different... however, if you're serious into gaming, a desktop is really what you really need.
i have been using this same laptop model with 8gb of ram, 120gb ssd drive since 2009 with linux and is been a rock solid beast!!! the only thing i have never tried is adding internal bluetooth, which I should

Obviously i cannot afford to buy wrong rams for my laptop so I'll be glad if you helped me there..any issues with the ram? has upgrading the ram helped the vga?since mine says it has 32mb of dedicated vram! And has it actually boosted the speed?

I search spesification on google this laptop can only use ssd up to 128,but after watching this video the ssd can up to 240 thanks,by the way you use the ram 4 2 piece or 8gb 1 piece?
Very good. I'm already up to 8Gig, but after watching this and listening to the music, I'm thinking of getting an SSD. It runs at 190F now so I'm going to clean, probably replace the fan. Also the CMOS battery and I bought a Latitude On thingy. If that works and I like it, SSD it is. Thansk for the inspration.

Yes SSD gives much bigger improvement than ram. With SSD drive, these old laptops are 100% fine for daily use even today.
