Let's see...Bill Hader says John Mulaney is the funniest person ever, John Mulaney says James Anderson is the funniest person ever, if I keep following this track I'll eventually find the truly funniest person ever.
I was thinking the same thingggg
Silvia Mayo it’s John mulaney.
Mulaney said James Anderson is the funniest WRITER you'll ever WORK WITH.
Maybe itll come back around and James will say Bill Hader is the funniest!! 😂
@@filmfangirls9163 Perfect.
The fact that the wrote the lobster sketch before Les Mis was even a movie, got rejected by Seth, and then waited until they were head writer and host respectively to push it through makes it 100x better.
Actually, Seth was head writer at the time it was rejected, but was not head writer when it got aired. Almost like Mulaney believed in it enough and held onto it, waited years, finally outlasted Seth's tenure as head writer, and then went back to host to finally get it on air - and that still makes it 100x better!
svyt that’s what he’s saying, he wrote it with colin jost who is the head writer now
yentalin12345 I don’t think it needed to be a movie yet, since it was already a musical
The genuine slight tension Seth demonstrated was too funny...
sorry to be that person but it was a movie in 1935. though john does look like he could have been in that one.
Imagine being John Mulaney’s wife and having him just storm in and yell “I’m sick of being the Flash!” How do you even respond to that?
Fletch Ryans Apparently with a sick burn
I think I'd respond, "Then stop wearing that trenchcoat and freaking everybody out."
I suppose the same way you respond to anything else when you're John Mulaney's wife.
i can honestly say i have imagined being John Mulaney's wife
anna is a true champ
john looks 25 but speaks like he's from 1925
Arya Ess He’s immortal, man. He was probably a newsie and was also probably a radio host in the thirties.
He's been hanging out with Spider-Noir
I hear a bit of Phil Hartman in his voice from time to time.
how many people from 1925 have you spoken with?
We should go back to the transatlantic accent :)
If John wants to guest star on The Flash as an alternate universe Barry or something I'd be kinda into that...
He's just gonna be alternate universe versions of every superhero. He's already Spider-Ham.
I SECOND IT
He’s probably not allowed to be in DC stuff because he worked with marvel
@@annabelle6648 oh yeah, good point
@@annabelle6648 didn't stop alot of voice actors
John Mulaney is a treasure and we must keep him safe
Lauren Ray I think we should ask the Flash to protect him.
MsBettyR. He should’ve played the Flash
He is boring imo
Lauren Ray: Is he under some kind of threat? Maybe he and Anna need a bullmastiff to protect him (and keep little Tuny-fish company).
from DEltA aIRlINeS
Look at that high-waisted Flash; he's got feminine hips
Shhh that's the thing he's sensitive about!
look at that asian american woman
lauren nashville. Finally, some representation in superhero media!
Also, "Frontal view of the pelvis is unremarkable." ;)
John Mulaney and Grant Gustin should do a bit on SNL called "I'm not the Flash"
This would be a blessing
and it should start with grant trying to live his life with people thinking he's the flash and he keeps saying "thanks but I'm just an actor there's no flash" but then john runs up in the costume and grants like wtf are you doing and johns says something about being afraid of aging and needing the attention
adversely, "We are the flash"
Better idea: John Mulaney should guest star on an episode of the Flash. Or maybe John Mulaney could just be the Flash for an episode.
erm4gundr An alternate reality version of Barry Allen who became a stand up comedian instead.
He looks like The Flash during puberty.
New Message And he's older than Grant Gustin.
Pshh. The Flash wishes he was Mulaney.
And you sound like Bruce Vilanch during retirement. Throw your computer in a river and leave society alone.
New Message .
Grant Gustin is the flash, then John Mulaney is Savitar
But John _does_ look like a 25 year old handsome actor! 😍
ekaiLo he looks so much younger than he is
These days he's starting to look like a 40 year old child
Maybe he doesn't look like the Flash, but doesn't he sound a lot like an old-timey radio guy?
Right!
His wife speaks the truth
Haha I think they forgot Grant Gustin’s name, they kept saying “yeah you kind of do look like...the Flash”
It was so distracting that they didn't use his real name!!! I kept waiting and waiting for them to say Grant. They DEFINITELY didn't know his name.
Ha! I was shocked that they didn’t do a ‘Flash’ sketch on SNL last week
Seriously, his wife seems like the coolest person
😥
This doesn't age well 😂😂😂
That bit about his wife is literally the only thing I ever need to know about her, because that was amazing.
See, the joke I would’ve made is that “No, I’m not the Flash” is exactly what Barry would /say/ in that situation. Therefore, denying being the flash is ineffective. Accept it, John, you’re the Flash now.
Leave it to Anna, to put everything in perspective for John.
“And THATS my WIFE!”
I see John Mulaney, I click
Shirish Boga: That’s just fucking creepy.
Always
« They’re call calves at first » I think about that line maybe once a week.
See that is what is so great about John, in general I don’t find him super hilarious but little stuff like the way he said “they’re called calves at first” really just cracks me up. I’m glad you get it too!!
I love how John never assumes anything or that people are thinking things, like he just explains that he has a dog that’s why he’s at the dog park.
John Mulaney is one of THEEE funniest comedians out there
I've heard this story before, but I still want Mulaney and Grant Gustin to do something together.
That would honestly be everything
And Nate Ruess should join them...
The diner lobster sketch was one of the best things ever!
Trump sent out a family card this year that said the same thing. Small world.
New Message hahahahaaaaaaaaaaa
Get a twitter account. That way you only have to bore the people that choose to follow you.
Your name and profile picture just fucked with my brain. And yes, I clicked.
I didn't know horses could write!
I definitely see the resemblance between John Mulaney and Grant Gustin, but I've always thought that John also really looks like the singer Nate Ruess.
The more I watch interviews where John mentions his wife, the more I get why he'd fall in love with her!
Yeah..
Annamarie Tendler Mulaney, always keeping it real...
I love John Mulaney's wife so much
That lobster skit is absolutely amazing!!!!! I've been watching it a couple times a week since it aired. One of the best of all time!
He has a tear in his feminine hips
2:33 “They’re called calves at first.” -John Mulaney
John: *Inhales*
Seth: *Loses it*
As a glee fan, seeing John compared to Grant just makes me yearn to see John in a Dalton Academy Warblers blazer.
I had a little kid ask me if I was Spiderman one time, and it's still the greatest thing that's ever happened to me. Seems like a big step up from being mistaken for a tall child, John!
"I'm not saying I look like the Flash"
Bro, when I first saw you my initial thought was "He looks like the Flash."
John is the best
Oh my god I’m so so so glad I found this video, I can’t get over how MUCH HE LOOKS LIKES GRANT GUSTIN/Flash and it brings me so much peace to see him address it ahhh
you know I love Mulaney but I think, even tho I don't know much about her, I love his wife just as much
Seth is chill sassy
by the sound of it, i feel like his wife is the funniest person on the planet, tbh
Love that tie -- and love John Mulaney. He can flash me anytime.
I know I'm months late to this video, but I was just watching a John Mulaney video and my brother goes "who's that? The Flash?" And I laughed way too hard without context.
I was wondering why he hadn't mentioned his role as the Flash.
Yass I'm glad he finally discussed the Flash issue!!
Props on his wife 👏
His wife sounds amazing! 😂
him and the flash 😍😍😍
"They are called calves at first" It's funny. How? How did he make that funny.
2 things. Diner Lobster was incredible! And John Mulroney absolutely looks like the flash!
He looks like the flash if you can only kinda remember both their faces from a party about two weeks ago where you proceeded to get wine drunk
John Mulaney has to be the funniest man alive that sadly... a lot of people STILL have never heard of.
I love Anna 😂
Both he and the dude who plays the flash would have so much fun being dorks together
I am obsessed and in love with Grant and John.
Omg the flash does stand up comedy . That is great
5:47 Good job John’s lovely wife, Anna. ✊🏻
Listening to them come up with sketches just makes me wish I could see how they see things and the inside of their minds.
Rewatching all of his interviews 2020
I've seen all these interviews before but it's delightful anyway
He should play an older future flash in the series.
miss him writing on SNL, some great skits
i guess there’s a reason why john mulaney and grant gustin are two of my top three celebrity crushes. (the other being tom holland, ofc)
Oh my god yes! HE KNOWS HE LOOKS LIKE THE FLASH
The lobster diner is one of my favorite sketches
his wife always sounds awesome in all his stories
That last bit that his wife said is hilarious
I said “OH” at the same time as that woman hahaha
Mulaney is a national treasure.
I like the way he talks....
Anna is savage.
Grant Gustin is 28, actually.
Aaah this tall child (that'll never get old hopefully)
This guy just can't let go.
I love Grant. I love John. I love Seth. This is great.
Me and John mulaney both have tears in our hips
i cant stop looking at his tie
I 💘 love John Mulaney!
He is the flash because of his quick wit
I kept saying that John looks like Barry Allen for a long time. I'm glad I'm not alone in it. They are both gorgeous men
As one does !
Oh Anna, how you keep him grounded.
You just put it in my head...
nice tie, mulaney
I low key love him ❤️ John Mulaney 😚
Love this guy
I really like him .. he is super funny 😆
You should do a podcast with john mulaney!!! you guys are so funny together! and u should definitely have a podcast!
I can’t unsee it now
OMG! I SEE IT! He actually kind of does look like Grant Gustin. 😂😂😂 I can't believe I never noticed that before.
That tall child is looking GOOD!
when he mentioned it i 100% connected it to it
I love when John tells story’s about what his wife to says to him...lol
He looks like if barry allen decided to go to the 1950s, live there for a while, and came back a little tired but with a lot of stories to tell. thats what john mulaney looks like...but yeah ive said it before grant gustin and john mulaney do look kinda similar
He's the before-lightning flash
the amount of description going into picking a low heel
After the guy said “They’re called calves” John missed an opportunity to say “Yeah, and mine hurt in those heels”
Anna is the real comedian here
His wife is the best 😂
