Absolutely terrible audience reaction, but if you’re not familiar with these comics I can see the jokes not landing with everywhere

The only thing bad about the sketch is that the audience is totally awful. There’s parts in this where I’m laughing out loud without a peep from the audience. I think that sort of translates to “bad” to us without these cues, but if you look at it subjectively there’s a lot of golden moments. The audience just isn’t very good this time.
John Mulaney is going to go down as one of the greats, impossibly quick and witty - and his writing is top notch

I once saw Conan O’Brien in a hotel restaurant, and before I recognized him my first thought was “this man is way too old to be wearing a PBR shirt.” So I’m with you on the leather jacket, Mulaney.
My other dumb observation was that he truly is incredibly tall. I’ve met other men his height, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen them in skinny jeans. It seems to magnify the effect.

John Mulaney is so smart and intelligent with his jokes and the way he writes them and delivers them that alot of his stuff goes above the average persons head. The man truly is one of the best comedians and writers of the current generation. His stand ups on Netflix had me crying with laughter. One of my favorites.
John has the best poker face it’s un real. He just doesn’t break.
