I was lucky to find a complete Virtua Cop 2 board, it works great in my House of the Dead cab and I switch between the two every couple of months. The car chase scene is great!
@@VideoGameEsoterica It was very popular in india. every video game shop at that time had this game copy which was pirated ( thats the reason it was cheap ). I spend all my childhood hours on this game but it was hard for me at that time. I played other games like House Of the Dead 2, Alpha Ball, All pop cap games at that time, Knight Rider 2 Etc. Those are the golden Days of games. I miss those golden days
A heck of a lot better this was for sure VGE. Played this so many times at the arcades that I had to purchase the Saturn version soon after. A timeless class is Virtua Cop 2 is brother man. 8^) Anthony..
I always had a soft spot for VCOP1. Such a great game and the start is nice n slow to bring you into the game rather than trying to destroy you straight from the start like most lightgun games do!
I always found it interesting how the arcade uses a second gen camero cop car while all the ports appear to use an R32 or skyline of that same generation. It's a weird change but interesting one to me
My first shooting game, I play it with my uncle when I'm 5yo Remember my skill issue there when my uncle beat all bosses easily, look like I'm bad luck for him because using all continue Btw, which version is better Dreamcast or saturn ?
@@VideoGameEsoterica Yeah also currently I installed PC version Of Virtua cop 2 at school and play it with friend, don't tell my teacher please (even if you don't know who my teacher)
There is still a delux cabinet with big screen in Odesa, Ukraine. I used to play this same cabinet as a kid, and its still there. This place has other arcades as well, like sega rally shampionship. Also a deluxe cabinet with a big seat and a frame, makes you feel like you are getting into a real racing car. And yes, they also have house of the dead 2 and many other sega arcades on sega model 2 and 3. Unfortunately, as post soviet country, we never had an arcade culture here, so these arcades are treated like a kids toys. They are not treated seriously, which really makes me sad, because kids absolutely destroy these.
I prefer the music of VC1 on Saturn/PS2 I also prefer the style/color usage of VC1 Indeed VC2 is more exciting than VC1 VC series > time crisis series VC1 & VC2 are best played on a PS2 on a big CRT
@@dbnpoldermans4120 Because Time Crisis is the kind of franchise that gets bigger, badder, and better with every sequel. It’s like the light gun equivalent to the Fast & Furious movies.

Nice. Good pick up!
this took all my quarters back in the day
That was it’s one true mission in life
It had a PC port, which was surprisingly common Indian PCs.
I played it first time around 2003.
Fun to hear it came to India

It never gets old
Super conversion to Saturn 😎👍
Yes the Saturn ports were extremely good coming from Model 2
Love this version!
Same (obviously lol)

Now if Sega would just give us a VC4
I just played the Saturn version, great arcade port. Never saw VC 1 or 2 in the arcade
I saw them back in the day but they didn’t last that long

You know I never noticed that. Good eyes
Always towards the top of the list of light gun games.
Top 10 for me for sure

A fun memory
I prefer Saturn. Dreamcast is too nice looking

Sounds like an awesome arcade. Glad to know it’s there
this game got me to stop going for tickets for crappy prizes. all my quarters went to this while my mom was shopping in the mall
Smart move Conan
The PC got a decent port of VC2 if you had a 3Dfx card.
Sega was really dedicated to PC back then
Heck yeah I love this game! Just did a play through of it a few weeks ago on the Steam Deck.
It’s the Vermont cheddar of Sega games
Why you gotta do Virtua Cop 2 dirty like that!? The game is great! Like Wisconsin cheddar!
Blasphemy
Cheesephemy
I hate it’s been two decades and MAME still hasn’t properly added model 2.
One of these days I’m sure

At least Time Crisis got more games
Really? Time Crisis blows this out of the water.
@@SolCresta3405 I respect that. A casual gamer friend of mine also like Time Crisis more.

Haha this is kind of true
Too bad Joe Fang is still as pathetic as ever.
He tried!
@@VideoGameEsoterica But no cigar.
You can look up Galloping Ghost in Brookfield, Illinois as they have about near every arcade made and getting more.
I’ve been. Fun place
