I'd love something like this with a PCI slot and an ISA slot instead of the AGP slot. Finding decent hardware of that age (that still works) is getting harder and harder.
I want one so bad I have tried everything with dis and it’s all disappointing I love the mister but it can’t run ALOT of games and dos emulation really blows I’m gonna order one of these as soon as there available
Neat hardware, probably fun for people that don't have or want aging hardware to tinker with! Also, why couldn't you fit the graphics card with the back plate attached? It looked like it would fit if you'd angle it the other way, or at least screw the back plate back on after inserting it?
did you try mounting the video card bracket to the case before installing the card, and reinserting the hex standoffs? seems like there might be enough room to do that.
@@squeeeb I think that being durable is quite debatable. I have 40-year-old motherboards, which I only had to replace tantalum capacitors with contemporary capacitors, other boards from the 90s, which I didn't need to do any maintenance on and they still work today. On the other hand, the ITX kit is produced on a much smaller scale, its parts are not affordable, they are usually built with old stock chips, making them very rare in the near future, and obviously, even more expensive...
@@squeeeb Yes, I'm also happy to have options and to have someone concerned about developing this. The Chinese developed something similar, a 386 laptop, but in my opinion, it fails in the same aspect of being affordable (at least, considering the overall quality of the product). But I believe that the main flaw is the same one that has affected the entire technology sector for at least 30 years: we shouldn't create new products, but rather reuse products that are scrap. OLPC was created and failed for several reasons, but the fact that there are thousands of ThinkPads leaving companies and being thrown in the trash at the same time is something I can't forgive. In my opinion, the best way would be to create solutions to be able to use junkware, things that no one in the world wants, but that we can buy in bulk for a few dollars, like those old ITX motherboards with first-generation Atom processors, that is absolute garbage, and can even be found for free. This prevents the creation of tons of scrap and trash, avoids waste, and is good for your and my pocket.
I don't get it... What's the point? We have dosbox, it works great, runs everything perfectly. Want a cheap dos computer? Run it on a raspberry pi. What problem is this product solving?

Really good video! Might be the best covering the Llama so far. Thanks for the mention!
Thank you! Im looking forward to the release of your case. Perfect for the ITX-Llama!
I NEED one of these. 😍
Love this!
Interesting bit of kit.
I don’t need one of these but it looks like such a fun project. Thanks for sharing!

Yeah, the AO486 is not good with the later DOS games and Window 9x runs really bad.

The backplate was too high so it wont fit even after inserting the graphics card. Needs a low profile backplate.

Yes, I did. It still didnt fit. It's a temporary case anyway. I'm waiting for something more era appropriate to be released.
Unfortunately it costs the same price as a Pentium 1 laptop or desktop.
True but it will likely be more reliable and last longer due to the new components (GPU not withstanding)

@ Those are fair points. I'm glad we have options though!
Yes but I don't want to spend time and money recapping old hardware! :D
