This was not known but: They just added new game plus with the update today! So will be out day one :)
This should really help for you with cleaning up the side content! Hopefully they drop some other patches that make it even easier to clean up.

when a youtuber says a game is 10hrs you can pretty much guarantee it will be 50hour for regular humans not doing speed runs to be first to review it.

@@thegamewin100 ive spent 2 hours just exploring the first section just up to across the gorge right at the beginning. i just learned I can grab hold of the wall to climb up.
Im like 5+ hours in and just finished up the wasteland area. Theres plenty of side quests. 😆

I was pretty surprised that there were not only swimming mechanics but also underwater mechanics. I was half expecting the devs doing something like drowning or tell me to get back on land but no, most games would choose to avoid this.

Played the demo, loved it. Order in, I have to say it may sound simple but I loved the satisfying clang of the perfect parry. I have additional support needs and Played on story with combat assist on. Helped me a lot.
Knowing this may be a part 1 out of more made me even more excited about playing it. I loved the demo and I played it for over 20h now

For all the advanced players who want a more fast pace gameplay learn how to do the “Perfect Dash” technique. I made a video on the method to moving wayyyyy faster in the game (which so far isnt being shown anywhere in videos, so definitely check it out). It is not the same as dodge canceling but an addition to it!
game seems like it would have benefit from a dash mechanic at the start of the game
@@theancientsam I mean it has it but the input isn’t instant like some other action games allow you, which causes players to turn to a more shielded approach to combat where they rarely circle or out maneuver enemies. The game is actually faster than the demo footage shown here. But the input delay on dashing still remains so the same result on players remain.
Awesome review as always Jor, and thanks for the heads up regarding the point of no return towards the end of the story. I probably would have made the same mistake you did if you hadn't mentioned it. Also I am curious about outfits. Do they all have a single color scheme or can their colors be changed?

I really wasn’t planning to pick up with game day 1 anyone but it definitely looks like a lot of fun overall. Rugrats Adventure In Gameland and Epic Mickey Rebrushed are my two most anticipated games for the rest of this year. I really hope they improve the controls for the latter game. Fingers crossed!

I dont have a lot of experience with these types of games, but I loved the demo, and pre ordered it a few days ago.
Can you remap the controls? Specially can I make light and heavy attack R1 and R2? I couldn't on the demo 😕

When you pick from demo data save, it drops you at the supply camp right before abaddon. You have to fight him again

So if we want to platinum the game we going have to play the game multiple times unless we do all side activities first before getting to the no point of return area
3 times to be exact for the platinum. Has 3 endings just like most games of the genre.

I'm hearing 35+ hours for people who actually plan on playing the side quests. And if someone actually enjoys the game and wants to spend more time in the game world, they will.

God of War, this, and other especially open world games , the side content is super important to do all of it to get the full experience. Makes them 100X’s better and enjoyable. Not just barely touching them and rushing to the end.

Back when the game was called Project Eve, it was planned for PC, Xbox, and PlayStation. While the game is a PS Exclusive Title, there is hope for Shiftup Studio to port the game to PC.
Remember, Nier: Automata was a PS Exclusive Title game before it was eventually ported to PC.

As someone who is not great at the soulslike games combat would you say that difficulty spike with those bosses could essentially break the game for me?
Did you do well with Bayonetta? It's more that paced in fights but try the demo out

If I may.. I myself is not great at soulslike.. but I think and I hope story mode will do its thing but they're right.. try the demo first.. then see if you can.. (I know you can) 😊
I like to say it’s only a soulslike if you play it like a soulslike. This game provides many different ways to play, and gear to enhance those different playstyles. You can already experiment quite a bit in the demo.
thanks for the replies. I have played the demo already and I liked what I saw. Getting the perks to increase parry and dodge window helped but with it I still struggled with the boss. My problem is that my response time is not very fast and I tend to end up responding too slow to respond to attacks or press the wrong buttom in panic. Jedi Fallen Order I have played through and beat it but I would not say I played that game overly well. Really wanted to buy this game but i'm afraid the difficulty spike with the bosses in the end might ruin the game for me if I can't get my skill up by that point
Will give it a go once under $40 cuz I never have been able to parry. If core part of gameplay, I know I would not enjoy as much as I was hoping.

based on other reviews I watched expect around 15-20 hours assuming you defeat every boss in one go and don't do all the side content

Elden ring
Felt quite the opposite for the final bosses finished them all in one night and thought the game was really showing it’s strengths with these fights. The combat is amazing and NG+ is done really well to build even further into your skills to make them stronger, worth running hard mode for that as normal is too easy.
I hope this has a bad ass soundtrack

I'm not a fan of soulslike, because for health reasons I can't stress too much, too difficult games are not for me, the most difficult game I've ever finished was Hollow Knight, I didn't beat the true ending but still I completed it at 97% if I'm not mistaken, so I have experience in video games, but now for health reasons I avoid the one too stressful. This stellar blade seems really enjoyable to me, if I take breaks between one play I think it won't make me overly stressed, I'm happy to have a story mode for those like me who don't like excessive difficulty.

Thanks for the honest review, man. You saved me some cash until the game goes on sale. I'm not really into these types of games, and the idea of the difficulty spiking out of nowhere doesn't sound fun. I don't have the patience to battle a boss for two hours. I thought I could just chill and enjoy the story and graphics. Maybe I'll watch someone else play it on TH-cam instead and save myself the headache. Cheers.
How are you meant to beat the final boss its ridiculous been here half a day I can’t get more than 40% through the final boss. I don’t have time to spend weeks trying to beat one boss. I had to turn it off, on and on the save i got 90% but missed one thing and can’t go back, love the game but these two things have forced me to stop as I can’t get any further and don’t have time to start over

probably affiliated with sbi somehow, i think this game is an uno reverse card magic trick they trying to play on us. trying to get us gamers to defend it just because it has attractive girl but the game is also not that good. its like 6/10 if we're being generous because it dosent offer anything that hasnt been done before and it still ends up cloning a lot of tripple a games in a lot of ways like bad story pacing. like you dont even know who you are or why you are doing what you are doing before your partner goes down, and im not sure if we are supposed to care about that character but we didnt even know who she was by the time the boss unalives her. little things like this break the immersion of the game for me and make me suspicious that they are actually affiliated with sbi in some way. the news surrounding this fireball has been off the rails. feels like a trap

banishers is my fav game this year.
Autosaves all the time so you can go back to pretty much any point,
Combat is great when you learn different moves and abilities.
Story is actually really good and unpredictable,
Side content feels good,
exploration is rewarding,
no bugs or crashes and.... some how graphics mode has higher FPS than performance mode, plus better visuals. Strange but not complaining!
A very good game i definitely recommend, nice to see a fresh IP. We have seen so many of the same titles and ideas in games that it was nice to see a new one

also, technically, isnt almost every game rpg? Leaving aside the exceptions of puzzle game.
Games where you play as a character that interacts with a world is an RPG GTA is one of the exceptions that isn't labelled as one, but many believe it is an RPG. (i know, this is all very trivial)
Like if you were the guy spending more time fishing and getting to know how Clyde is the chillest npc you'll ever encounter.
I will never touch the combat because I will turn it into a ladder sim. Just like I did with automata after I blew off 2b's skirt.
