You're talking about the Ram Runner which is a Mopar package that came out in 2010 or 2011. They rarely bring back older prototypes for this event. The Ram Runner footage is still out there - both on TH-cam and our TFLCar . com website.
Jeep should build these. I'm not a jeep fan and I think the current designs are too soft for jeeps but this one looked so nice, even I'd consider buying one.
I remember hearing that. But the tires also stick out outside of the fender, leaving less room for the tires to move vertically. But it's a prototype. Looks really cool!
Totally different market segments that have little to dowitheach other. They are like skis, going from the back-country-touring Wrangler, through the Big Mountain-Freeride Grand Cherokee to the All-Mountain Cherokee; in a similar 75/25 Off-Piste/On-Piste , to 50/50 , to 25/75. Unless you buy the GC-SRT which is 15/85. They aren't targeted at the same segment and aren't priced the same either. It's not your dad's Cherokee, but it's not a Compass or Patriot either.
They definitely need to build this even if it's just a limited run of a year or two. The fit and finish is excellent it doesn't look highly modified and I can see this sitting at a dealership and I know it would sell at least for a short time very well. This is what a Grand was always supposed to be.
I love the looks of this Jeep! I'm not a fan of the headlights on the '14 models though, and this hefty edition only makes the headlights look even more out of place in my opinion. Loved the video!!!
Oh, forgot to mention - Jeep needs to do something ballsy like Ford did with the Raptor and make this car exactly as it is here. There is def going to be a demand for this kind of a sweet machine and they already have all the parts. Luxury, looks, capability, space and fuel efficiency, what a combo. I would take it with a V6 as well.
I purchased my 2006 Jeep Liberty CRD new from the dealer with factory 2.8L Turbo Diesel motor in Phoenix, AZ. IF this TrailHawk II concept goes to market, I'll be trading in my diesel Jeep Liberty.
Luke Skywalking Price would be crazy haigh and no one will buy it expect rich people rubicon now can run up to 55k can you imagine how much it would be for built a ne from factory your saying 70k atleast and up And that gap filled by big companies like AEV AND A lot more where they build your jeep and coast depends on packages and be insure under warranty so technically you can buy a new one of these of now it would take few weeks like two to build and add 15+ k to the sticker
Prototype or not, my next SUV was gonna be the Jeep Gr Cher diesel anyway, so I'll contact Moab (or another aftermarket company) to get a similar-looking vehicle. VERY sweet looking, and it's cool that it's not a lifted Jeep, but I might want a maroon color (though this color is cool too, just a bit much).
Awesome wit 35s.. Can I get your opinion of the Grand Cherokee Overland, 4X4 diesel with quad drive ii and air suspension compares to a Range Rover Sport?? The Rover sport is about 10k more.. thoughts??
Needs a 2-3 inch lift. Seems silly to have 35s and the body that close to the ground. On the fly adjustable air shocks would be huge for improving both on and offroad performance for a vehicle like this. Hit a button and get an instant 2 inch lift would be the way to go.
Well there is a diesel variant of pretty much every American company's model overseas already. Besides American, Toyota hasn't brought anything diesel over since the mid-90s. This ecodiesel offered by VM is very nice, but the true game-changer will be the 2015 Nissan Titan with a 8cyl Cummins turbo diesel. Rated 300HP and 500ft-lbs of tq in a half-ton truck!
Diesel is all about tree stump pulling torque, that's all you need. Drive one, then drive the petrol version. You'll notice a huge differance in get up and go.
i love the trail hawk 2 but i wanna know who makes the 3.0 diesel and is if it has a turbo on it to give it that bad ass whistle sound and that extra acceleration. please reply, i want to know if jeep is finally making a come through with a turbo diesel jeep wrangler/Sahara
Gorgeous grand.... Love the color... But I would want that in black... And I'll sell my overland tomorrow... Front and rear lockers maybe... Or at least a rear one he said it comes with a locker already thought it was just a limited slip...
How did you fit 35's in the wheel arches??? I have a 2014 model, lifted 2.5", the best I believe I can get in there without modifications is 32" tyres.
I was driving the other day and I saw this "trailhawk" Grand Cherokee. I wasn't aware they made such a vehicle. a quick internet .search & I found out this is just a concept. this thing really got my attention with its nobbies, and the Orange color. this must be the same one
What you have found is more rare than a Ford GT because only 2000 Grand Cherokees were built with the Trailhawk package for 2013. We have a red 2013 Grand Cherokee Trailhawk, and it does have a matte black hood decal. It's basically a Laredo E with Quadra-Drive II, grey wheels and grille (instead of the usual chrome), red tow hooks, Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armor tires, suede seats like the SRT Jeep's, and red interior stitching. Me and my parents happened to have found it at the dealer as the last 2013 model on the lot with an $8000 discount, so it was probably the luckiest find we've ever came across. 3 years later and it's still one bad ass Jeep. Also, it came with a Hemi V8.
Whatever you say pal. I'll out off road you anywhere, any vehicle, any time. I guarantee you that. My point was that that was pretty mild terrain for such an off-road beast. But like they said in the video, it's just a concept so maybe they were taking it a bit easy. I don't know, maybe it looked challenging to you but hey, that's fine. We all perform at different levels buddy.
Depends on which Hemi you mean, the standard 5.7L does have 8% less, but the 6.1L Hemi has the same amount of torque (and much more HP) and the 6.4L of theSRT has much more torque than the 3.0 diesel. However, the diesel is capable enough especially with the 8-speed's higher ratio, so might as well go for better MPG and idle to go for longer treks.
To Jeep: I know the Grand Cherokee is a good selling vehicle but it has gone away from the rugged and utility vehicles they used to be. Have your normal Grand Cherokee, and then have your "Utility" grand Cherokee that has some of the features from this video without a lot of the electronic features that they currently have which alot of people dont find much use for
I spent a lot of time filming this... Sorry, but what you see is what you get. Try another channel if you dislike this. We have TONS of 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee videos. This was a prototype test. Do you understand that it's a prototype and not an actual, production Grand Cherokee?
great job with this. please keep the enlarged fenders!
Too soft?? ur nutz. this is the best looking one by far.
Build it! Trailhawk 2 diesel! Awesome look and great for a daily on road off road use. My wife would even buy it.
I remember hearing that. But the tires also stick out outside of the fender, leaving less room for the tires to move vertically. But it's a prototype. Looks really cool!
Yep, in Australia. We've also had the 3.0L Diesel for a bit longer too.
PLEASE MAKE THIS! ITS PERFECT. THE NEW CHEROKEE IS TERRIBLE
Totally different market segments that have little to dowitheach other.

American Kalashnikov Challenge buy a trailhead trailhawk and build it YOUR WAY.
il buy this just as it sits. DO IT!!
+GLS PERFORMANCE
Me too!!!
I wouldn't hold my breath for any of these.
Jeep seems to love you guys, you are at just about every event of theirs.
I hope jeep does come out with this or something like it. I want one!!!
They definitely need to build this even if it's just a limited run of a year or two. The fit and finish is excellent it doesn't look highly modified and I can see this sitting at a dealership and I know it would sell at least for a short time very well. I love the looks of this Jeep! I'm not a fan of the headlights on the '14 models though, and this hefty edition only makes the headlights look even more out of place in my opinion. Loved the video!!!
They need to start producing this. I'd buy it in a heartbeat.
this NEEDS to happen!!!! I want this Jeep!
Those headlights are so awesome
Oh, forgot to mention - Jeep needs to do something ballsy like Ford did with the Raptor and make this car exactly as it is here. There is def going to be a demand for this kind of a sweet machine and they already have all the parts.
Luxury, looks, capability, space and fuel efficiency, what a combo. I would take it with a V6 as well.
It looks really agressive and tough!! Good job!!
Too bad this car never came out. It looks pretty awesome.
dig that color
Nice video, the car look bad ass with those wheels
I got to see this thing at the bantam jeep festival this year...amazing. I am more of a wrangler guy but I would buy this in a second.
I purchased my 2006 Jeep Liberty CRD new from the dealer with factory 2.8L Turbo Diesel motor in Phoenix, AZ. IF this TrailHawk II concept goes to market, I'll be trading in my diesel Jeep Liberty.
Its Ok Nathan i think its great! Great show too!
This is a pretty good concept. Good change from the Grand Cherokee not being able to off road too well.
A part of me thinks that these prototypes would sell like crazy. I wonder why models like this don't pass the chopping block internally.
Luke Skywalking
Price would be crazy haigh and no one will buy it expect rich people rubicon now can run up to 55k can you imagine how much it would be for built a ne from factory your saying 70k atleast and up

I like it!! Much better and more in line to what a Jeep is supposed to be as compared to that SRT model which nobody can afford!
Wow that Jeep is stunning....
hey guys that's a nice jeep I like what u did with the facia and the fact that u cleaned up all the chrome from the outside
wish I could have one
Want this now.
I love the roof rails.
badass jeep
ill take one of those JKs. maybe that white one. that thing is a beauty
Hey Nathan and Roman, I was wondering if you guys could do a review about the Buick Encore. I would be really interested in having your insight on it.
nice jeep guys I like what you did with the front facia and the hood, taking off all the chrome like that also, exactly what I did with my jeep
It only makes sense that you, missed to realize they have over 30 vids on jeeps of the 2013 and 2014 models
That looks so awesome!
Looks super badass
That thing looks like a beast
Looks great, i just got 2014 grand cherokee limited one. Would you be able to tell me where i can get the lift kit, tires etc.
Thanks
Love Jeeps. Another great video on a great brand.

Wow this Jeep Grand Cherokee TrailHawk II is quite inspiring.. I might take a few of their ideas and apply it to a Subaru someday...
Needs a 2-3 inch lift. Seems silly to have 35s and the body that close to the ground. On the fly adjustable air shocks would be huge for improving both on and offroad performance for a vehicle like this. Hit a button and get an instant 2 inch lift would be the way to go.
Are there RHD models of the Grand Cherokee available on the market?
Is this ever going to come out?
Well there is a diesel variant of pretty much every American company's model overseas already. Besides American, Toyota hasn't brought anything diesel over since the mid-90s. This ecodiesel offered by VM is very nice, but the true game-changer will be the 2015 Nissan Titan with a 8cyl Cummins turbo diesel. Rated 300HP and 500ft-lbs of tq in a half-ton truck!
That Dude in the white Jeep at the end is from Motor Trend!!!
that looks sweet, Jeep make those and stop production on the Jeep Cherokee!
Shut up and take my money
Man i hope they make this into production
That's beautiful! I have no idea why I like it though.
guys, anyone can help me with tires & rims specification? I want to build it
they should also do an axel swap.. get some solid axles under there and itl be freakin awesome
One good ditch will leave nice tire marks on the fenders!
I WANT THAT JEEP TRAIL HAWK II
The low-slung look with the big meats is kinda cool.
Now they need to drop that diesel in the Wrangler. :-)
This ever get anywhere? Still don’t see 35s on a wk2
I want it right now!
I would buy this. Very seriously, I'll buy it.
Roof rack name ??? Please !!
Cool car, cool video!
As always. GREAT video!
Trail hawk, diesel, diesel, towing.. An mpgs?
Wait, that guy said the Grand Cherokee has a rear locker? Not from factory unless they put one in there just for this car.
Callsign Vega The Grand Cherokee comes from factory with rear locker
The fenders and wells have been modified for clearance...
Diesel is all about tree stump pulling torque, that's all you need. Drive one, then drive the petrol version. You'll notice a huge differance in get up and go.
Chrysler did do something like the Raptor not a Jeep tho but they brought out the Ram Runner.
What is that roof rails?? Any name ?? Model ??
when is Jeep going to publicly sell the Grand Cherokee TrailHawk Edition? Sell in the market or are they still developing the concept?
Does it have a soft front-end??
Is it possible to take a SRT off road? Or to put Off road tires on it?
i love the trail hawk 2 but i wanna know who makes the 3.0 diesel and is if it has a turbo on it to give it that bad ass whistle sound and that extra acceleration. please reply, i want to know if jeep is finally making a come through with a turbo diesel jeep wrangler/Sahara
I would buy it
OMG, I love it...except for the colour, lol! I hope they put this into production...I'd get one!
Gorgeous grand.... Love the color... But I would want that in black... And I'll sell my overland tomorrow... Front and rear lockers maybe... Or at least a rear one he said it comes with a locker already thought it was just a limited slip...
Jeep needs to produce so I can buy!!!
they better make this!
This Trailhawk II looks so much better than its sibling the Trailhawk I.
don't care for Jeeps, this one looks badass!
Please Jeep actually make this. It will be the first proper offroading grandcherokee since the ZJ and WJ.
Love how the rims look like the Subaru XV Crosstek
What extent does that tire !!
Forget the Raptor (which I love), this is my dream family ride. Kidney for sale.
How did you fit 35's in the wheel arches???
I have a 2014 model, lifted 2.5", the best I believe I can get in there without modifications is 32" tyres.
😂😂 me too.
self inflatable tires would be nice.
I'll buy one and set it up just like that one. 35 tires and all
I was driving the other day and I saw this "trailhawk" Grand Cherokee. I wasn't aware they made such a vehicle. a quick internet .search & I found out this is just a concept. this thing really got my attention with its nobbies, and the Orange color. this must be the same one

i'd love to have one
I need that V8! I wish there was just engine options for a V8 and a V6!
@romanmicagearguy PLZ review the now honda accord 2013 :/
V8 Hemi doesn't have as much torque, so the diesel is better for rock crawling with highier MPG
Depends on which Hemi you mean, the standard 5.7L does have 8% less, but the 6.1L Hemi has the same amount of torque (and much more HP) and the 6.4L of theSRT has much more torque than the 3.0 diesel.

Did they happen to tell you where the roof rack side rails came from?
Mash up review: TrailHawk II vs Raptor
Awesome
can anybody tell me the size/numbers of these tires?
