Roland is easily in the lower bracket of edrums in sound quality within the industry. And all pale in comparison to SD3. I've never heard of anyone that thinks Roland surpasses an acoustic kit. For all intents and purposes, isn't that actually impossible? You can never achieve acoustic sound and therefore it can't be better than acoustic. It can be different. But it is literally and physically impossible to be better.
I purchased this and was "very" disappointed. The drum sounds from the rim shots would bleed over to the heads and same the other way. This set is too expensive for the poor quality of the set. I took it back after trying it for a month. Found a TD-30 Pro which well outperform the TD-50KV2.

@@drumtecTV Thanks! Actually my kit has the TD-50X already. My older kit had the TD-25 head. The issue with the VH-14D is that it's not registering a fully closed hi-hat state, and also intermittent double/multiple triggers. You'd expect a lot more from 2 pieces of rubber that cost $1000 =)
@@drumtecTV btw do your TD-50 sound editions work fine for the TD-50X as well? I assume they do but wanted to be sure.
@@SeanKDaily Hey Sean, that sounds strange. Have you executed the offset calibration inside the module correctly? I have also not experienced any double/multi triggers, is it possible that there is a problem in your hardware/pad setup on the hihat stand? Kind regards!
@@SeanKDaily The Sound Editions for a TD-50 won't work on TD-50X unfortunately, but we do have some more sound editions coming for the TD-50X as well. Have you checked out the Real Acoustics Sound Edition yet:

Hey. How did you become so good at playing. I’m a drummer and consider myself an intermediate but have loads to learns and can’t even read music or okay anything other than 4/4 or 6/8. Did you have like lessons or are you self taught. Great playing tho. Very inspiring.
Thank you very much :) I have actually been playing the drums for 30 years now, including lessons throughout from several teachers and 4 years of studies at the music colleges Mainz & Hamburg. You can find more drumming/music over at my personal channel if you like:

Hey Michael, yes but very different technology/triggering/playing feel/featurers etc indeed :) kind regards!
This guy's a fine drummer, what's his name?
Thank you Scott :) my name is Ralf Schumacher & you can find more drumming/music on my personal channel too if you like:

Why is this kit more than the acoustic looking kit?
I want one. Now I just need to come up with a spare $8000.
$ ?
Qual preferência? Roland ou Yamaha dtx40k reall wood ?
Hey Diego, I prefer the 100% Roland compatible drum-tec pro 3 series with most authentic playing feel & lowest possible pad noise level. Works great with any contemporary sound module:

Can you use drum software through these, or any other kit for that matter? For a damn $8000 kit, this sounds a little pitiful to be honest.
Sure, you can benefit from the state-of-the-art Roland triggering and use any external drum software via midi out (you can also hook up any Roland compatible pads by drum-tec / ATV / EFNOTE to the module):

I am so excited for Roland x DW kit hahah saving my money i own a Td27 and it is an absolute dream to play but getting saving money to upgrade when roland drops their latest GEM.
Got a Problem. I bought a td-50k on eBay by mistake... Now, how should I tell my wife???
I’m convinced that this man just has a giant safe, in his bedroom, with a buttload of money, stored only for the purpose of getting every E-drum kit that shows up on Sweetwater 😂😂
Well, this man is me! I play & produce all the demo videos for the international electronic drums dealer drum-tec obviously :-D
I do all the video shooting at the drum-tec West showroom (which is visible in the background sometimes). You can find more info on www.drum-tec.com, kind regards!

C'mon Roland. Sort out the machine gun on the toms. It might be worht hefty price tag then. 2box have this sorted and the module is considerably cheaper. Have been running the 2box kit, performing live, for many years now. Faultless. So natural sounding. an't consider the Roland yet.
Roland have sorted the kick, snare and hats. Just need one more obvious improvement then I'm sold.

Try to get that perfect triggering with any other module out there, you’ll end up coming back for more mr. Roland
I'll take less than perfect triggering for toms that don't sound like that
@@heroinbath1877 you can have the best tom sounds but if you spend more time tweaking than playing well no thanks
@@laloadler8044 I have a Mimic and it took awhile to get dialed in. Huge learning curve. Now that I have a few kits sounding how they want I barely have to mess with it(and it sounds great).
I bought a 2box module to upgrade an old Yamaha electric kit and loaded samples from Addictive Drums 2. Way less expensive than the TD-50 with way better sounds to my ears.
@@bikefreak77 I wanted to go 2box but didn't because it only has 6 outs. With the Mimic I can record the OH and Room mics in stereo and have a separate out for each drum. I'm still interested in a 2box but not for the projects I'm currently recording for. If it would have had 8 I would have been sold.
Only $7500!
The prices of these are way too high
MSRP is $9390.
For the price of this kit I'm utterly disappointed by the sounds. I'm at a point where I'm thinking about transitioning from acoustic kit to electronic but I'm not sure I'd be considering Roland after this.

Roland TD-50X offers top notch triggering / playability, and if you hook up a set of drum-tec pro / diabolo series pads, the playing feel will also be maximum-authentic :)
If onboard sounds are not enough, you can always use midi out and trigger libraries like EZ or Superior Drummer from Toontrack f.e.:

How is it that Roland figured out how to make an electronic kit sound better than an acoustic kit? Lol
@@fVNzO I think they have great snare and bass drum sounds, but the toms and cymbals are lacking, even on this high-end model.
I purchased this and was "very" disappointed. The drum sounds from the rim shots would bleed over to the heads and same the other way. This set is too expensive for the poor quality of the set. I took it back after trying it for a month. Found a TD-30 Pro which well outperform the TD-50KV2.
Next gen better at least add a damn splash and a China for that price if you’re not gonna give me the snare stand or hi hat stand
machine gun…always…
So true
Roland will have drum sets up to $15k but yet say no kick pedal no snare stand available 😂 they are scamming tf out of people
:)
:)
$7750 for this kit. We can't all be hunter biden
That first set of toms sounds...absolutely awful. Just remember how much this thing costs....
Is it only me hear elektronic sound and lack of nature sound.
I prefer acoustic 500$ drums over this trash.
Plastic sounds :( THIS IS WEAK....
im buying their next flagship the fact that my TD27 module has bluetooth and this 10k kit does not is a huge deal breaker.

@@drumtecTV that's crazy because I personally messaged roland on Facebook and asked and they said no. So you are saying the td50x has the built in Bluetooth capability to play along with music from your phone wirelessly? If so whoever runs the roland Facebook page is responsible for me not buying this kit lol
@@grxygxds Hey Jason, oh man sorry for the confusion, just looked it up & they/you were right, also the new TD-50X doesn't have the bluetooth feature (seemed logical to me that they must have added it with the new X module, but doh...)
You can play music from sd card, hook up the module to computer/DAW and play back songs from there or you can connect any phone/player by cable to the mix in input.
Kind regards!
Questa è forse ulna delle batterie elettroniche più costose, ma ancora non ci siamo, i suoni sono totalmente finti. All'inizio ti ingannano ma dopo un pò di ascolto si capisce che il suono è irreale.
