you forgot beer and alcohol get the brewing memetic and use corn...wheat and water to make been and malt alcohol they give a really good resistance to sanity debuffs
With the prime wars you want to use the bio missles with the static defense turret that you control thats the best way to take on the armored bosses regular explosives will cost way too much at 10 rpgs shots i was only able to take down one bar of armor and with all the extra firepower amd explosives from about 20 other players working together we were only able to bring it down to half armor after 20 to 25 mins of fighting.

YES THIS IS WHAT I DO. I was into looking for them myself at first, but after doing many rift anchors in a row, and spending more than 15 minutes trying to find mystical crates, i just decided to look at the whispers. I love this game but time is precious. Im so glad the community is helpful
i remember telling my friend I'd try it out while he went to sleep, we were both pretty cautious because of the steam reviews... this man calls me 9 hours later because he woke up and saw I was still playing it. Been a while since a game got me stuck for 9 hours without noticing
Things I'd add -ALWAYS CHECK YOUR BLUEPRINTS! (any that have a yellow square icon can be fused to add the crafting recipe to your tables) you get blueprint parts from chests and gacha -ALWAYS BACK UP YOUR HOUSE TO BLUEPRINTS. (At the end of the season you will lose your base and this erases the need to rebuild and memorize the layout) -Eating food increases your weight and dieting lowers it (this grants speed debuffs and effects your weight) -Press G on the gacha machine to directly buy blueprints you want for a higher cost of starchrome than gacha (it's more cost effective, but random to use gacha) -Arrows and melee kills are silent and good for chipping away hordes, guns make noise attracting hordes pretty obvious, but easily missable -You can move your base anywhere so don't plan to make a house if you want a permenant home. You're going to want to move along with the story content and create a fortified open base for the stardust raids -Deviants (pokemon) have specific likes and dislikes that boost mood regain (this can be checked in their enclosure) -You can enter build mode and press `/~ (tilda) to fly around with the camera and build your base -Completing J quests are easy ways to level up early game -Remember you can glide with the bird guy when going off cliffs or high points. -The banner at the top of your screen that says a ripple is nearby just press Q to find and highlight it -you can use the bed perk to refill sanity or the blob deviant (reference to SCP 999 btw)
Some tips: 1. You can find morphic chest at random areas, usually there are whispers telling you. Just hit Q and it'll spawn, kill it and loot it. 2. Throughout the game, you will find a walking bus, shoot it to make it stop and decline, and climb inside it, theres a gear chest. 3. Dont forget to equip weapon and armor mods, just a lil things to boost your stats. 4. You can move your own base, to anywhere by hitting B if you found a good spot to mine ore or something. 5. Upgrade your melee weapon, save your bullet (ik its cheap) for elite monster. 6. Do your commission, good way to level up and sometimes you will find riddle spots to get better loots, e.g. weapon attachments 7. If you want to help other players, craft some whispers and drop some. It actually helps :D
On tip 15, you should put the resonant filter on a platform away from your base, I'm talking opposite end of your territory and stick a bunch of turrets on the platform too. That way the mobs won't fuck up your base and wreck your storage containers.

Some tips about the stardust filter. 1) You can make a second building to defend the stardust filter at, so that your main base isn't getting hit by everything. I've only got wood structures, but I have a separate building as my garage, and I keep the filter in it's attic. By doing this, my main base only takes minimal damage from some stragglers here and there. You can also expand your territory to gain more than double max structures (plenty for another base), and put the filter even further away from your base that you want to avoid taking damage 2) If you have the filter placed underneath a roof, and when you finish the waves you can't find your starchroms, LOOK ON THE ROOF. I had them spawn there and it took me a second to figure out where the heck they went. I tried relogging and thought it must have just been a bug, RIP 2.5K starchroms. But no, they were on the roof :^) 3) Ideally, to save yourself some time, don't put your storage containers where enemies will get to them... BUT if you do have an enemy come and blow up your containers, all of your stuff goes to the "Vault" on your house's terminal, the silver skinny thing that your base MUST have. It wasn't sent to the shadow realm!

This game is so underrated. From a developer standpoint it's actually a really cool game idea. I was looking for something new in the Survival Genre and this game sure has hit the spot for me.
Are you aware it’s a port of a failed mobile game? Not saying that to detract from your opinion just interested if you’re aware of the history behind it.
@@jeffrbake What makes you say that? There's an incredibly successful mobile tarkov clone so any complexity argument goes out the window. If a game is a good game then it's a good game regardless of the platform it's on.
When looking for Mystical crates the light on you bag will flash when you are close. the closer you get the faster it flashes until it turns Orange. This means you are basically on top of it (this can mean on another level in the building)
I don't think so.... the light on your backpack is to tell you How bad the Stardust Polution are. Batter way to find chest just spam Q if you closer to the chest you will se the glowing mark
@@Galam04 the numbers is for pollution. The light is for chests and deviations. I was also confused but I’ve tried it many times :) You can also find hidden chests as well. I came across a normal looking rock and the light was flashing fast. Couldnt figure it out so I clicked and a morphic chest appeared. Light stopped flashing when I opened it.
When looking for the mystical crates, or gun crates, press Q and it will detect em in a certain range, even tho sometimes it’s hard to see the aura, but it works most of the time
Another big tip: Rush electricity and get electric furnace and electric stove so you no longer have a big need for wood. Move your house close to Winding Ridge Farmland, even if you're slightly underleveled. A lot of Iron ore spawn around there for unlimited steel and you can farm winding ridge for materials since the respawn there is insanely fast. Once it's time to move again, find a spot in Red Sands that has a good Aluminum and Tungsten spawn.
The yellow blob deviant is actually OP; when you activate the ability, it will put a wall down which actually restores your health and sanity. If you are low just pop the walls and sit behind it and you will heal to full. Also nice if you have a lot of insanity and need to reset but you are out of gummies or away from a bed.

I use blob all the time, as a wtf when my health is low especially in a bad encounter. It's saved me plenty of times as well as others in the team who huddled near me. I've no issues doing damage, so I would agree blob is pretty nice to have especially on a team or even hanging solo.
Not sure if anyone posted, but you can repair not owned items. You need a deviation called Artisan Touch which will allow you access to craft a tool that fixed ANY item.
For the mystical crates, I've often found that the commubity in this game is awesome and helpful, if you read the player dropped messages, they'll often tell you exactly where to find everything in the area ❤
If your trying to find the Mystical crate pay attention to the cradle on your back it measures the stardust concentration once it gets to 40 it should be close by but there are gonna be a few areas like that I think by it minimize the areas to look and helps alot
If you get the spec to convert acid into sulfur, GET IT. It's a typo, it's the opposite, sulfur into acid, and it's the most useful spec in the game along with Solar Drill. Acid seems like a non-factor until you get to T4 and T5. You need acid for T4 and T5 bars. The normal ways of getting it are: Farming T5 corrupted mobs because they can drop 4-5 each, with a food buff that bumps that to 7-8, or you move your base into a polluted zone and dedicate half of its power to do 2 lengthy conversions of polluted water and then craft it. So, active grind for not that much VS insane base setup for a passive grind, but really really long. Trust me, you'll want this spec!
During the purification event, with the stardust resonator, enemies will spawn on land near your base and run at you. A good defence is to build your base in water that is deep enough to swim in as enemies cant swim (Look out for the flying and the ranged ones still though).

You can sleep in your bed to rest health and sanity. Just...feel of charge. Takes a little time, based on how much you are missing. So, don't waste a sanity gummy or some shrooms, if you're at home or near your camp. Just take a nappy poo.
If you have trouble finding the mystical crates, go to the rift anchor and look for whispers left by other players. some times people leave a note on how to find the crates with photos. if thats not a thing on your server/world, start a trend yourself :)
Base teleports can be done from anywhere, regardless of campsite, TP tower etc. It's open world towers and main towns (deadsville, meyers market etc) where you need to be close to them
Oh man that Compost Bin perk sounds amazing. I was lvl 9 almost 10 before I logged off last night. Left a junk bag of 40 rotten foods on my neighbour’s front door. It’s probably despawned by now.
That's only if you get that perk as an option. Each time you get a new perk you have to choose 1 of 4 random ones. I have 2 perks unlocks and both are garbage
Your deviants will produce more if you give them certain things. Hover over them to find out. Some like being around plants, others don’t. Some like heat, music or the different colored lights.
Only thing I haven't seen in the comments so far is for the deviations in the box. If you set their green stat to 99 they spend WAY less time in the box than when they are charging up to only 30 before wandering around. They get their full bar to wander around and it depletes a lot slower than it fills, especially when you have the correct light and items around it likes.
Good tip is that u can put solar panels anywhere, even inside your house and they'll still provide full energy, u don't have to put em on the roof n lead wires trough the house, it's not life changing but it helps knowing that u can stick 1 solar panel in the corner of your house and just connect fridges etc
Working out I could only teleport from base or other towers was a little confusing I must admit, and when looking to join friends, knowing you need to make it to a teleport tower to transfer to their sub-server (world) to see each other would be another good one! You can also give your friends permissions to edit each other's territories in the friend menu (once you're in a Hive together).
DON'T do purification in your main building. Make new fortification for your filter few blocks away from your main building. Double the walls and roof.
This game is great, what a relief that a decent game was finally made I can sink some hours into. That division feel with loot and building/crafting of rust.
Not sure if you have a water pump in your base, but the rain collector needs to be at a higher elevation than the storage. When in build mode the blue pipe should have shite highlights moving towards the storage unless you have a pump.
Festering Gel Deviant is easily the best combat deviant you can have, it basically trivializes the need for healing items or gummies to restore sanity. You can have it float by you and restore your sanity and hp pretty quickly or you can just put it down as a defensive wall that also heals you if you desperately need cover and healing. I mostly use the first ability because I can put it back in the cradle and it still has like an 80% charge so I can spam it whenever I want pretty much.
Dont be scared to move your base. Once your base buildings and workshops are intermediate start moving to areas that spawn iron ore and rarer materials as you progress it will make gathering and base building so much easier
just yesterday me and my gf were playing and we're both pretty low levels still, only got a max of maybe 15-20hrs into the game yet, about lvl 13-14ish for both of us, and a quest had her putting down a Stardust Resonant Filter... let's just say we didn't realize our base was going to be attacked... half of it was gone and an adrenaline shot was used in a poor effort to try to save it, but that didn't work out very well for us😅
Big big big tip is reading the whispers near the anchors, often times there are people who have already found everything and have left a note to help future players
For the mystical crates and other crates: people often leave whispers next to the rift anchors with every location, which greatly speeds up the process if you're stuck And for tip #9, you can teleport to your base whenever you want from wherever you want, there's just a delay between these teleportations because they are free and don't use energy links As for the best weapon, it depends on your style but personally I go for a sniper because you can just jump/climb a building and be fairly safe and just headshot everything in the area and kill easily even the elite bosses. After I started using a sniper (around level 20) I could clear towns with 5 or more levels over my level easily, I'm now level 50 and I never had to respawn in game (always have at least 10 adrenaline shot on you in case you accidentally run into a really difficult fight)
My biggest tip: if you are struggling to find the weapons and gear crates, check the whispers left by other players at the rift of each location. 99% of the time someone has left a message detailing the locations. Better that, just go to the rift first, activate it and then check whispers to find the crates, that is if you don't want the emersion of finding them yourself...
One thing in learned the hard way. Always place the foundations first, don't put this like vehicle garage or planting boxes on the ground. When moving the base they might get list in the process. And it really helps to build with the free camera, especially when the snapping isn't really great.
One thing i learn as a newbie in the game.. that in PVE server you can activate PVP by pressing P. I didn't know this, when a stranger talking to me and said to press p, they immediately unalive me and laughing 😅.
Great video. They've added the ability to disassemble weapons from crates/bosses for a blueprint. The blueprint only allows you to swap stats of one weapon to another of the same type. IE shotgun to shotgun.
That first issue you mentioned about not being able to repair items you find i think is the #1 crafting change they could make to make the game properly like the Looter Shooter/Survival gameplay they have going, that one change would single handedly allow for more replayablility and farming would actually feel meaningful even if you cant roll on the Gacha at that moment. i get they want to only have Blueprints (aka being able to upgrade the blueprints capability) locked behind gacha which is fine if its only earned in game, but being able to repair guns you find would actually allow the game to have more replayability and such, farming for gear and items even tho you cant roll on the gacha feels good but not being able to upgrade or repair them feels bad.
The whole point to this is crafting is supposed to be a main part of the game. If you can just loot better weapons and repair then crafting is void. I like it exactly the way it is they got it right on here from testing.
@@69Alpha69Wolfe69 you can still upgrade blueprints which would and should make the blueprints still the best way for the best gear as it can "scale" higher then "dropped" gear can, i understand what you mean but that still doesnt mean there isnt a solution to that issue already via Blueprint upgrading is and would still be the strongest gear

Everything looks like good advice, I just have a few improved suggestions: If you get the brewing barrel and water purifier with corn or wheat you can make hydration that both fills, fixes your sanity better than gummies and for 30 minutes You Can't Lose Your Sanity. Also you might want mushrooms for yeald fertilizer if you want to grow anything as your main food recipe. Activators need acid and acid is needed for most everything in the end game. instead I'd make sure every 3 Sage you find you make into Sage Ointment. If you are low between fights just use one before starting you next fight to minimize using Activators. There are also a bunch of silly items that use acid, craft a couple to turn yourself into a chair but don't go crazy. There are traits to get your devient count to 10 and 20 get these early and fill the excess ones with any gathering devients (even ones you don't care about, you can sell what they gather for money). If you want more Digbys, mine silver when you find it. More produce and seeds? Chop down excessively large cypress trees to get a bunny. You'll find tons of the paper janitors after the initial quest in random junk material pickups. It's free money. Also on week 6 you can use money to buy starcrom crates I saw. If you use the wish machine to buy a blueprint, you can only get one. If the blueprint is in one of the gachas you MIGHT be better off just wishing there so you get extra to tier it up. These are the meta of this 6 week rogue-like and stay with you for the next run. Memetic Specializations are randomized and there are rumored 80 but you'll only see 40 of them. And are further grouped to early, mid and late game. Doing the weekly 1st season goal will allow you to reset 1(so a max of 5 rerolls), which will reroll the random From The Remaining specializations in that phase of the game, if you are seeking certain one such as the compost bin and don't have it by 20 or so pick one then reoll it for another chance. There is a little light on your cradle that flashes sometimes. When you get to a spot it is very rapid, press Q and you'll find a morphic chest to fight and loot. Always press Q a lot, there is a ton of hidden things to find with it.
Good tip if you carry the blob with you it has a passive healing/sanity restore effect, just hold em out for a few secs, also does it if you use its build cover ability. No need for gummies
Great video, but most tips shift at around lvl 25 which you can get to pretty fast. Tip for the mystic chest. You can craft an item that signals them in an 30m radius around you. Crossbow/bow is for ammo consumption (you can pick up shot arrows) and silent kills, which are redundant once you have the resources for guns and silencer. you can recycle found guns to get a mod with there special stats, which can make them really valuable For sanity, the gummies are great later on beer is the goto :) activator crafting is a trap, dont do this thoughtlessly. You need tons of Acid later for highend crafting, dont waste them Try to get electricity going as fast as possible to save your trouble to craft tons of charcoal. electric craftbenches dont need it. you can teleport from everywhere for free to your base with a 10min cooldown, try to resettle your base every now or then where you are currently questing to save on teleporting cost. The rest are good tips afaik :)

Just an update regarding the Mystical crates. While in these POI areas you may come across a "whisper" for the newer players who ask "what's a whisper", you'll know when you see it (looks like a little blue/yellow flame hovering above the ground" because they are literally everywhere from another player that has a screenshot and or directions to the mystical crate for that particular area.
There's a deviation that allows you to create "repair" items that work on "unowned" items Stardust isn't as hard to come by as it seems. Startrace ore is rather abundant Resonant filters are limited by the number of cortex you process per week, so wait till the end of the week, power up as much as you can before attempting
Red pickup trucks 99% of the time have storage boxes to loot. You can put a marker on the map by pressing scroll wheel that way you don't forget where you found some really good farming spots. when out and about collect everything - you can sell them at the shop to make extra money and if your lucky you can get seeds to grow your own.
If you are able to capture the metal hand deviant (I forgot it's actual name) you can create an all-purpose repair item that can even repair weapons and gear that you find around the world. The only catch is it repairs the lowest durability of the items you have (I haven't tested if it is the lowest durability in your total inventory or just equipped) so you can unequip and store all except what you want to repair, use the all-purpose hand item, and the re-equip everything.
Tip about healing - if you take the yellow blob per with you will have infinite and almost no cd healing (and sanity removal) machine. Just summin him, wait till he heals you and put him back in the cradle. The cd will be like 5 sec
Q key. It shows where crates are in a decent radius around the player, really handy for spotting them in those hard-to-get-to places. Then all you gotta do is figure out how to get there
one of the Best Links farm is a Memetic Specialization call "Combo Chipset" not super cheap but sell for 12K Energy Links at any Vendor i try and make 1 or 2 a day you could target farm these easily only takes 15 Standard Part/ 20 Metal Scarps/ 30 Electric Parts hope this helps :)
The thing I wish I knew early on is to spam the Spacetime button when exploring. It makes looking for boxes way easier and you can also reveal secret treasures with it.
Remember to use spacetime to see all crates through walls. It makes finding the mystical crates way easier to find. You can also find hidden mysticals too
Water flows with gravity in the game as well. You can stagger multiple water storage containers for rain collection then have them flow into a purifier that then flows into another container. I have unlimited clean water without having to collect dirty water then boil it .
For 6 and kinda 7, just use the deviant the 1st boss drops. The Festering Gel. It heals and restores sanity. The 7th isn't exactly bad advice, the deviant does have a cd, even if it's small, so having an extra activator helps. The 6th one...I do consider bad advice. There are many, many perks that are better than that one. It doesn't help at all as both food and sanity restoring supplies are basically everywhere, even in early game. Plus, you'll need to use a limited resource (5 per season) to change it for another perk. Your early game best friend is the bed you can craft on ur base. HP and Sanity restore. Pre 1st boss at least, after that, the gel does both and later on you don't even need the gel. Edit: 8th, true, but careful about the boss part. Bosses always have 3 FREE chances. You don't use ur adrenaline there which is nice...do have in mind this means that even if you have 50 adrenaline, you only have 3 (4 counting the first life) tries and then it's a reset. Some other events also have them. Just check if it says adrenaline or Rift adrenaline or something like that. Edit2: Pls do 13 lol. Later on, to fix it, you need a garage on ur base. You summon it with G. 14 tldr, all cars outside cities have it, basically. 15 that won't be enough. 1, remember your hive (clan) members, also get rewards for doing it and you lose nothing. 2, build it THE * AWAY from ur main house. Simply build it at almost the border of ur building area or just as far away from ur main house as posible. They (mobs) don't care about you, only about the extractor so they'll focus the * out of ur base and break everything if it's inside. 3, stone part is right. If you aren't using it by t3 cortexes...it's gonna go bad, even with help :P. 4, turrets do help. Remember that like with weapons, they have lvls. You'll need better ones. 5, if you already have good weapons, you can kinda ignore turrets. Just build stun traps. They are amazing, cost no energy and AoE stun the enemy leaving you with an easy kill.
I'm glad I got the gist of most of those tips, I had no idea about tip 6 with mushroom (i thought spoiled food was only useful for gardens) and adrenaline shot either ! I need to craft those and to be careful with stardust container !!!! Thank you so much!
If you find a really good weapon that has already calibration you can dismantle it and get the calibration blueprint aswell so if you were to upgrade a not crafted by you weapon just dismantle it
It's worth noting that not everyone gets the same specialiasations when they level up every 5 levels. It is seemingly random which four you will get given to chose from.
To help with the mystical crates, i would also pay attention to wispers. There have been a couple times that I only found the crate because there was a group of wishes saying where it was
If you press Q in a stardust polluted area, all the lootabl boxes near you with glow red through walls. This also can help locating the mystical create
I was trying to make a decision of playing this game but had to rest and heal from doing almost 3 weeks of overtime. So I missed my chance to play this game this weekend but intend to play it next weekend. I stumbled upon this video and found it very helpful and will be better prepared upon my arrival and start of the game.
I don't know if this can be considered a tip, but in the case of activators, you can farm the mobs around the monolith of greed and get activators. Another thing, if you cook some food on your stove, it's timer will remain the same until you take it out.

best for sanity is tea just take flowers on your way they are everywhere or fruits and make a tea, they are easy to make and remove good amount of sanity debuff and for bows, normal mobs are not that hard right now just mash them with melee they generally die with 2-3 hits without worry about anything
I noticed that nearly all the mystical crates are centred in or around the largest POI in that area. Look in all the nooks and crannies. One was positioned on a roof edge at the hospital so easily missed. Another on a catwalk in a big factory only accessable by the roof in an idustrial area. Just look for the biggest building.
Festering gel is a very good support deviation specially during boss battles, serves as a shield and restores hp at the same time plus it restores sanity.

Things I'd add
-ALWAYS CHECK YOUR BLUEPRINTS! (any that have a yellow square icon can be fused to add the crafting recipe to your tables) you get blueprint parts from chests and gacha
-ALWAYS BACK UP YOUR HOUSE TO BLUEPRINTS. (At the end of the season you will lose your base and this erases the need to rebuild and memorize the layout)
-Eating food increases your weight and dieting lowers it (this grants speed debuffs and effects your weight)
-Press G on the gacha machine to directly buy blueprints you want for a higher cost of starchrome than gacha (it's more cost effective, but random to use gacha)
-Arrows and melee kills are silent and good for chipping away hordes, guns make noise attracting hordes pretty obvious, but easily missable
-You can move your base anywhere so don't plan to make a house if you want a permenant home. You're going to want to move along with the story content and create a fortified open base for the stardust raids
-Deviants (pokemon) have specific likes and dislikes that boost mood regain (this can be checked in their enclosure)
-You can enter build mode and press `/~ (tilda) to fly around with the camera and build your base
-Completing J quests are easy ways to level up early game
-Remember you can glide with the bird guy when going off cliffs or high points.
-The banner at the top of your screen that says a ripple is nearby just press Q to find and highlight it
-you can use the bed perk to refill sanity or the blob deviant (reference to SCP 999 btw)

How the fuck do you glide?
Some tips:
1. You can find morphic chest at random areas, usually there are whispers telling you. Just hit Q and it'll spawn, kill it and loot it.
2. Throughout the game, you will find a walking bus, shoot it to make it stop and decline, and climb inside it, theres a gear chest.
3. Dont forget to equip weapon and armor mods, just a lil things to boost your stats.
4. You can move your own base, to anywhere by hitting B if you found a good spot to mine ore or something.
5. Upgrade your melee weapon, save your bullet (ik its cheap) for elite monster.
6. Do your commission, good way to level up and sometimes you will find riddle spots to get better loots, e.g. weapon attachments
7. If you want to help other players, craft some whispers and drop some. It actually helps :D
On tip 15, you should put the resonant filter on a platform away from your base, I'm talking opposite end of your territory and stick a bunch of turrets on the platform too. That way the mobs won't fuck up your base and wreck your storage containers.
Clearly this is a VERY basic guide lol, basically just repeating the game tutorial.

Some tips about the stardust filter.
1) You can make a second building to defend the stardust filter at, so that your main base isn't getting hit by everything. I've only got wood structures, but I have a separate building as my garage, and I keep the filter in it's attic. By doing this, my main base only takes minimal damage from some stragglers here and there.
You can also expand your territory to gain more than double max structures (plenty for another base), and put the filter even further away from your base
that you want to avoid taking damage
2) If you have the filter placed underneath a roof, and when you finish the waves you can't find your starchroms, LOOK ON THE ROOF. I had them spawn there and it took me a second to figure out where the heck they went. I tried relogging and thought it must have just been a bug, RIP 2.5K starchroms. But no, they were on the roof :^)
3) Ideally, to save yourself some time, don't put your storage containers where enemies will get to them... BUT if you do have an enemy come and blow up your containers, all of your stuff goes to the "Vault" on your house's terminal, the silver skinny thing that your base MUST have. It wasn't sent to the shadow realm!

This game is so underrated. From a developer standpoint it's actually a really cool game idea. I was looking for something new in the Survival Genre and this game sure has hit the spot for me.

When looking for Mystical crates the light on you bag will flash when you are close. the closer you get the faster it flashes until it turns Orange. This means you are basically on top of it (this can mean on another level in the building)

@@Galam04 the numbers is for pollution. The light is for chests and deviations. I was also confused but I’ve tried it many times :) You can also find hidden chests as well. I came across a normal looking rock and the light was flashing fast. Couldnt figure it out so I clicked and a morphic chest appeared. Light stopped flashing when I opened it.
Cradle flashing faster means there's a secret close, don't know if it's always mystic crate but one time for me it was a mystic crate with legs.

When looking for the mystical crates, or gun crates, press Q and it will detect em in a certain range, even tho sometimes it’s hard to see the aura, but it works most of the time
Another big tip:
Rush electricity and get electric furnace and electric stove so you no longer have a big need for wood. Move your house close to Winding Ridge Farmland, even if you're slightly underleveled. A lot of Iron ore spawn around there for unlimited steel and you can farm winding ridge for materials since the respawn there is insanely fast. Once it's time to move again, find a spot in Red Sands that has a good Aluminum and Tungsten spawn.
I knew I wasn't crazy for carrying the starter crossbow around with me for so long.
The yellow blob deviant is actually OP; when you activate the ability, it will put a wall down which actually restores your health and sanity. If you are low just pop the walls and sit behind it and you will heal to full. Also nice if you have a lot of insanity and need to reset but you are out of gummies or away from a bed.

I use blob all the time, as a wtf when my health is low especially in a bad encounter. It's saved me plenty of times as well as others in the team who huddled near me. I've no issues doing damage, so I would agree blob is pretty nice to have especially on a team or even hanging solo.
I switched to Blob at level 30, because I just wanted to save materials and not spend / craft healing items. It's OP as heck outside of boss fights.
Not sure if anyone posted, but you can repair not owned items. You need a deviation called Artisan Touch which will allow you access to craft a tool that fixed ANY item.
Where to find this deviation?

For the mystical crates, I've often found that the commubity in this game is awesome and helpful, if you read the player dropped messages, they'll often tell you exactly where to find everything in the area ❤
If your trying to find the Mystical crate pay attention to the cradle on your back it measures the stardust concentration once it gets to 40 it should be close by but there are gonna be a few areas like that I think by it minimize the areas to look and helps alot
If you get the spec to convert acid into sulfur, GET IT. It's a typo, it's the opposite, sulfur into acid, and it's the most useful spec in the game along with Solar Drill. Acid seems like a non-factor until you get to T4 and T5. You need acid for T4 and T5 bars. The normal ways of getting it are: Farming T5 corrupted mobs because they can drop 4-5 each, with a food buff that bumps that to 7-8, or you move your base into a polluted zone and dedicate half of its power to do 2 lengthy conversions of polluted water and then craft it. So, active grind for not that much VS insane base setup for a passive grind, but really really long. Trust me, you'll want this spec!
During the purification event, with the stardust resonator, enemies will spawn on land near your base and run at you.
A good defence is to build your base in water that is deep enough to swim in as enemies cant swim (Look out for the flying and the ranged ones still though).
Best way to handle your sanity is yellow blob deviation from the second monolith boss. Drop it down and stand near it to restore HP and Sanity.

If you have trouble finding the mystical crates, go to the rift anchor and look for whispers left by other players. some times people leave a note on how to find the crates with photos. if thats not a thing on your server/world, start a trend yourself :)
Base teleports can be done from anywhere, regardless of campsite, TP tower etc. It's open world towers and main towns (deadsville, meyers market etc) where you need to be close to them
Oh man that Compost Bin perk sounds amazing. I was lvl 9 almost 10 before I logged off last night. Left a junk bag of 40 rotten foods on my neighbour’s front door. It’s probably despawned by now.
That's only if you get that perk as an option. Each time you get a new perk you have to choose 1 of 4 random ones. I have 2 perks unlocks and both are garbage
Save the rotten stuff as it makes for a gold power source in the bio generator.
Your deviants will produce more if you give them certain things. Hover over them to find out. Some like being around plants, others don’t. Some like heat, music or the different colored lights.
How do I place different colored lights?
Only thing I haven't seen in the comments so far is for the deviations in the box. If you set their green stat to 99 they spend WAY less time in the box than when they are charging up to only 30 before wandering around. They get their full bar to wander around and it depletes a lot slower than it fills, especially when you have the correct light and items around it likes.
Good tip is that u can put solar panels anywhere, even inside your house and they'll still provide full energy, u don't have to put em on the roof n lead wires trough the house, it's not life changing but it helps knowing that u can stick 1 solar panel in the corner of your house and just connect fridges etc
Working out I could only teleport from base or other towers was a little confusing I must admit, and when looking to join friends, knowing you need to make it to a teleport tower to transfer to their sub-server (world) to see each other would be another good one! You can also give your friends permissions to edit each other's territories in the friend menu (once you're in a Hive together).
DON'T do purification in your main building. Make new fortification for your filter few blocks away from your main building. Double the walls and roof.
Some Dungeons have secret path to shorten and skip half of it, or fight another boss
the back pack has a light that tell you when your near certain types of chest the faster it blinks the closer you are to it
Tea is probably the easiest source of recovering sanity, plus it hydrates you, so double bonus

Once you get to the brewing barrel memetic you can make beer that is realllllly good at restoring sanity and hydration.
This game is great, what a relief that a decent game was finally made I can sink some hours into. That division feel with loot and building/crafting of rust.
Not sure if you have a water pump in your base, but the rain collector needs to be at a higher elevation than the storage. When in build mode the blue pipe should have shite highlights moving towards the storage unless you have a pump.

Festering Gel Deviant is easily the best combat deviant you can have, it basically trivializes the need for healing items or gummies to restore sanity. You can have it float by you and restore your sanity and hp pretty quickly or you can just put it down as a defensive wall that also heals you if you desperately need cover and healing. I mostly use the first ability because I can put it back in the cradle and it still has like an 80% charge so I can spam it whenever I want pretty much.

Dont be scared to move your base. Once your base buildings and workshops are intermediate start moving to areas that spawn iron ore and rarer materials as you progress it will make gathering and base building so much easier
just yesterday me and my gf were playing and we're both pretty low levels still, only got a max of maybe 15-20hrs into the game yet, about lvl 13-14ish for both of us, and a quest had her putting down a Stardust Resonant Filter... let's just say we didn't realize our base was going to be attacked... half of it was gone and an adrenaline shot was used in a poor effort to try to save it, but that didn't work out very well for us😅
Big big big tip is reading the whispers near the anchors, often times there are people who have already found everything and have left a note to help future players
My biggest advice with the mystical crates is to go to the rift anchor and read the Whispers
For the mystical crates and other crates: people often leave whispers next to the rift anchors with every location, which greatly speeds up the process if you're stuck
And for tip #9, you can teleport to your base whenever you want from wherever you want, there's just a delay between these teleportations because they are free and don't use energy links
As for the best weapon, it depends on your style but personally I go for a sniper because you can just jump/climb a building and be fairly safe and just headshot everything in the area and kill easily even the elite bosses. After I started using a sniper (around level 20) I could clear towns with 5 or more levels over my level easily, I'm now level 50 and I never had to respawn in game (always have at least 10 adrenaline shot on you in case you accidentally run into a really difficult fight)
Making fruit juice relives thirst and helps with the sanity as well.
My biggest tip: if you are struggling to find the weapons and gear crates, check the whispers left by other players at the rift of each location. 99% of the time someone has left a message detailing the locations. Better that, just go to the rift first, activate it and then check whispers to find the crates, that is if you don't want the emersion of finding them yourself...
One thing in learned the hard way. Always place the foundations first, don't put this like vehicle garage or planting boxes on the ground. When moving the base they might get list in the process. And it really helps to build with the free camera, especially when the snapping isn't really great.
One thing i learn as a newbie in the game.. that in PVE server you can activate PVP by pressing P. I didn't know this, when a stranger talking to me and said to press p, they immediately unalive me and laughing 😅.
Great video. They've added the ability to disassemble weapons from crates/bosses for a blueprint. The blueprint only allows you to swap stats of one weapon to another of the same type. IE shotgun to shotgun.
That first issue you mentioned about not being able to repair items you find i think is the #1 crafting change they could make to make the game properly like the Looter Shooter/Survival gameplay they have going, that one change would single handedly allow for more replayablility and farming would actually feel meaningful even if you cant roll on the Gacha at that moment.
i get they want to only have Blueprints (aka being able to upgrade the blueprints capability) locked behind gacha which is fine if its only earned in game, but being able to repair guns you find would actually allow the game to have more replayability and such, farming for gear and items even tho you cant roll on the gacha feels good but not being able to upgrade or repair them feels bad.
The whole point to this is crafting is supposed to be a main part of the game. If you can just loot better weapons and repair then crafting is void. I like it exactly the way it is they got it right on here from testing.

a huge life saver for me was the whispers people leave. cant find a crate? look for whispers
Everything looks like good advice, I just have a few improved suggestions:
If you get the brewing barrel and water purifier with corn or wheat you can make hydration that both fills, fixes your sanity better than gummies and for 30 minutes You Can't Lose Your Sanity. Also you might want mushrooms for yeald fertilizer if you want to grow anything as your main food recipe.
Activators need acid and acid is needed for most everything in the end game. instead I'd make sure every 3 Sage you find you make into Sage Ointment. If you are low between fights just use one before starting you next fight to minimize using Activators. There are also a bunch of silly items that use acid, craft a couple to turn yourself into a chair but don't go crazy.
There are traits to get your devient count to 10 and 20 get these early and fill the excess ones with any gathering devients (even ones you don't care about, you can sell what they gather for money). If you want more Digbys, mine silver when you find it. More produce and seeds? Chop down excessively large cypress trees to get a bunny. You'll find tons of the paper janitors after the initial quest in random junk material pickups. It's free money. Also on week 6 you can use money to buy starcrom crates I saw.
If you use the wish machine to buy a blueprint, you can only get one. If the blueprint is in one of the gachas you MIGHT be better off just wishing there so you get extra to tier it up. These are the meta of this 6 week rogue-like and stay with you for the next run.
Memetic Specializations are randomized and there are rumored 80 but you'll only see 40 of them. And are further grouped to early, mid and late game. Doing the weekly 1st season goal will allow you to reset 1(so a max of 5 rerolls), which will reroll the random From The Remaining specializations in that phase of the game, if you are seeking certain one such as the compost bin and don't have it by 20 or so pick one then reoll it for another chance.
There is a little light on your cradle that flashes sometimes. When you get to a spot it is very rapid, press Q and you'll find a morphic chest to fight and loot. Always press Q a lot, there is a ton of hidden things to find with it.
Good tip if you carry the blob with you it has a passive healing/sanity restore effect, just hold em out for a few secs, also does it if you use its build cover ability. No need for gummies

Great video, but most tips shift at around lvl 25 which you can get to pretty fast. Tip for the mystic chest. You can craft an item that signals them in an 30m radius around you.
Crossbow/bow is for ammo consumption (you can pick up shot arrows) and silent kills, which are redundant once you have the resources for guns and silencer.
you can recycle found guns to get a mod with there special stats, which can make them really valuable
For sanity, the gummies are great later on beer is the goto :)
activator crafting is a trap, dont do this thoughtlessly. You need tons of Acid later for highend crafting, dont waste them
Try to get electricity going as fast as possible to save your trouble to craft tons of charcoal. electric craftbenches dont need it.
you can teleport from everywhere for free to your base with a 10min cooldown, try to resettle your base every now or then where you are currently questing to save on teleporting cost.
The rest are good tips afaik :)

Just an update regarding the Mystical crates. While in these POI areas you may come across a "whisper" for the newer players who ask "what's a whisper", you'll know when you see it (looks like a little blue/yellow flame hovering above the ground" because they are literally everywhere from another player that has a screenshot and or directions to the mystical crate for that particular area.
There's a deviation that allows you to create "repair" items that work on "unowned" items
Stardust isn't as hard to come by as it seems. Startrace ore is rather abundant
Resonant filters are limited by the number of cortex you process per week, so wait till the end of the week, power up as much as you can before attempting
Another quick tip: make sure to finish your weekly quests called commissions. Easy to do, boost pretty hard.

Red pickup trucks 99% of the time have storage boxes to loot. You can put a marker on the map by pressing scroll wheel that way you don't forget where you found some really good farming spots. when out and about collect everything - you can sell them at the shop to make extra money and if your lucky you can get seeds to grow your own.

your backpack alerts you to how close you are to the mystical crate
If you are able to capture the metal hand deviant (I forgot it's actual name) you can create an all-purpose repair item that can even repair weapons and gear that you find around the world. The only catch is it repairs the lowest durability of the items you have (I haven't tested if it is the lowest durability in your total inventory or just equipped) so you can unequip and store all except what you want to repair, use the all-purpose hand item, and the re-equip everything.
The only thing that I regretted is not knowing that you can farm salt and sell it for 50k EL and get lots of exp
Tip about healing - if you take the yellow blob per with you will have infinite and almost no cd healing (and sanity removal) machine. Just summin him, wait till he heals you and put him back in the cradle. The cd will be like 5 sec
One tip is the flight ode when you're building, it makes some things so much easier like putting down a roof
you can dissassemble the found weapons to get some if not all upgrade mats back so it still could be worth it.
Q key. It shows where crates are in a decent radius around the player, really handy for spotting them in those hard-to-get-to places. Then all you gotta do is figure out how to get there
one of the Best Links farm is a Memetic Specialization call "Combo Chipset" not super cheap but sell for 12K Energy Links at any Vendor i try and make 1 or 2 a day you could target farm these easily only takes 15 Standard Part/ 20 Metal Scarps/ 30 Electric Parts hope this helps :)
The bed. The thing I love the most about being a new player is using the bed. Sanity and healing. Free and fast.
Even better if you have a kitty
The thing I wish I knew early on is to spam the Spacetime button when exploring. It makes looking for boxes way easier and you can also reveal secret treasures with it.
Remember to use spacetime to see all crates through walls. It makes finding the mystical crates way easier to find. You can also find hidden mysticals too
Water flows with gravity in the game as well. You can stagger multiple water storage containers for rain collection then have them flow into a purifier that then flows into another container. I have unlimited clean water without having to collect dirty water then boil it .
For 6 and kinda 7, just use the deviant the 1st boss drops. The Festering Gel. It heals and restores sanity. The 7th isn't exactly bad advice, the deviant does have a cd, even if it's small, so having an extra activator helps. The 6th one...I do consider bad advice. There are many, many perks that are better than that one. It doesn't help at all as both food and sanity restoring supplies are basically everywhere, even in early game. Plus, you'll need to use a limited resource (5 per season) to change it for another perk. Your early game best friend is the bed you can craft on ur base. HP and Sanity restore. Pre 1st boss at least, after that, the gel does both and later on you don't even need the gel.
Edit: 8th, true, but careful about the boss part. Bosses always have 3 FREE chances. You don't use ur adrenaline there which is nice...do have in mind this means that even if you have 50 adrenaline, you only have 3 (4 counting the first life) tries and then it's a reset. Some other events also have them. Just check if it says adrenaline or Rift adrenaline or something like that.
Edit2: Pls do 13 lol. Later on, to fix it, you need a garage on ur base. You summon it with G.
14 tldr, all cars outside cities have it, basically.
15 that won't be enough.
1, remember your hive (clan) members, also get rewards for doing it and you lose nothing.
2, build it THE * AWAY from ur main house. Simply build it at almost the border of ur building area or just as far away from ur main house as posible. They (mobs) don't care about you, only about the extractor so they'll focus the * out of ur base and break everything if it's inside.
3, stone part is right. If you aren't using it by t3 cortexes...it's gonna go bad, even with help :P.
4, turrets do help. Remember that like with weapons, they have lvls. You'll need better ones.
5, if you already have good weapons, you can kinda ignore turrets. Just build stun traps. They are amazing, cost no energy and AoE stun the enemy leaving you with an easy kill.
Mystical crate advice. Go to the Rift Anchor and read the player messages. they usually tell you where all the boxes are

If you find a really good weapon that has already calibration you can dismantle it and get the calibration blueprint aswell so if you were to upgrade a not crafted by you weapon just dismantle it
snapping puts a red marker on top of crates in your area as well as highlighting floor loot.
the marker can be seen through walls and ceilings
It's worth noting that not everyone gets the same specialiasations when they level up every 5 levels. It is seemingly random which four you will get given to chose from.
When you activate a rift anchor, read the whispers because they usually tell you the locations of all of the crates!
To help with the mystical crates, i would also pay attention to wispers. There have been a couple times that I only found the crate because there was a group of wishes saying where it was
If you press Q in a stardust polluted area, all the lootabl boxes near you with glow red through walls. This also can help locating the mystical create
For all the people who don’t know this, if you sneak up right behind a normal zombie, it will give you the option to backstab it
I was trying to make a decision of playing this game but had to rest and heal from doing almost 3 weeks of overtime. So I missed my chance to play this game this weekend but intend to play it next weekend. I stumbled upon this video and found it very helpful and will be better prepared upon my arrival and start of the game.

Mystical crates are 1. High on some roof, 2. Down in some cellar/basement, 3. Guarded by boss/elite/heavy enemies
If u cant find the red crate. Look around the Rift anker, players mostly leave messages behind where u can find it
I don't know if this can be considered a tip, but in the case of activators, you can farm the mobs around the monolith of greed and get activators.
Another thing, if you cook some food on your stove, it's timer will remain the same until you take it out.
Festering gel is also great for health and insanity, for finding those mystic crates read the whispers on the ground

best for sanity is tea just take flowers on your way they are everywhere or fruits and make a tea, they are easy to make and remove good amount of sanity debuff
and for bows, normal mobs are not that hard right now just mash them with melee they generally die with 2-3 hits without worry about anything
I noticed that nearly all the mystical crates are centred in or around the largest POI in that area. Look in all the nooks and crannies. One was positioned on a roof edge at the hospital so easily missed.
Another on a catwalk in a big factory only accessable by the roof in an idustrial area.
Just look for the biggest building.
Sleeping restores sanity and heals you, so when you’re at base just sleep to rid the debuff and heal up.
Festering gel is a very good support deviation specially during boss battles, serves as a shield and restores hp at the same time plus it restores sanity.
There are also interactive maps online one made by duppa that shows the location of all crates
