Seiko SRPK17 beautifully retro, but at what cost?

- The limited edition, Seiko 5 55th anniversary SRPK17 has fallen in price. Is this automatic dive watch under $500 now one to consider? This watch review looks at its pros and cons.

Great review. This watch is superb and more than worth the asking price. It has the all advantages of a regular Seiko 5 with added 'X-Factor', which is all you can ask for really. Would I buy one? Absolutely. A full house for the SRPK17 from me!
Totally agree. It has become my one watch. I scored mine for $315.
Bracelet works just fine for me...

Another fantastic review Eric. The watch looks much better in video than the stock photos, and what a strap monster! I think two weeks plus on the wrist sorts a great watch out compared to a good one. I cannot wait to see what you do next.

I used to use the tool youre using but punchers are better and easier, just wrap the bracelet with some cloth.
I really like this watch, very cool vintage vibes. Problem is with limited or special editions, you pay extra for nothing, just for the design.
I have a few limited/special editions and i realized that if you really like it, you will get it whatever the price.
As for value, i think any Seiko 5 (limited/special editions included) is overpriced.
With all that said, this is a great looking watch and i like it alot (im a Seiko fanboy) but idk why i dont see myself getting one. Maybe its the black dial, idk..
Im guessing it comes down to a matter of taste.
Yesterday i got a Seiko Recraft sknp23 with hardlex and 7s26 movement for 149 usd. Im planning on upgrading the movement, hands and bracelet. With all the upgrades it would still cost less than this but as i mentioned thats our own personal taste..

Hi sivanstar. Thanks for watching again. What “puncher” tool are you referring to? Limited editions do tend to cost more, which is why I’ve never owned one before. At 15,555 watches I’m not sure this one is really that “limited”. 😄
What recent release seiko is not overpriced if u think seiko 5 is overpriced?
