- It was bound to happen. I was just too stubborn, so I kept delaying the inevitable. I immediately saw the signs when I started but I wanted to fulfill a goal I made for myself this year. Nevertheless, I did get to start my tanker journey and for that I’m very appreciative. Hope this video helps another driver and as always thank you for watching my Truckher Journey.

@@joesk4759 Ooooh I’m staying away from leasing from now. Gotta set myself up so when and if I decide to do O/O I can just finance instead. I’m hoping for some good luck down the road also. Thank you
@@JusTruknItin stead of leasing a truck from a company an doing weekly payments just put a down payment on a truck an lease it on to a company an make monthly payments
@@isaiahgriffith1079 this will be the smarter way to do it if I ever choose to take that route.
It’s all about finding the right company. Prime don’t give a damn about the drivers just making money off drivers that’s why the phasing out company drivers and their entire fleet now is only 8~10 percent company drivers and the rest is lease. stay away from mega carriers they don’t care about the drivers one bit… none of them. It’s their shareholders they care about about making happy. If they are company on the stock exchange run far away from them
I started driving 4prime in 2014. The best part was the terminal in Springfield Mo. (off the chain felt like I was at a resort each x I rolled through) However, after about 1 1/2 years, I decided to lease a truck, worst decision I made. They had me sitting a LOT after rolling for the 1st 3 months of making $$$. I had full clocks, still sitting. They played with me & my $$.
So, I cleaned the truck out and returned to Mo…BYE BYE .. fast forward to 2024! I retired from trucking, over the bull crap.. Walking n My Purpose!!
Girl, telling the Truth❤❤
❤ purpose is important 🎉
Most cities in all states have a no commercial vehicle parking on the street because of the weight that breaks the pavement but you can park in your driveway with your tractor if you own your home and you HOA is cool with it or if you own a home in the country way out then rules are different
Run girl prime is a trash company ! 😢 they are the garbage talk of the trucking industry not the worst but one of them
You don’t need tanker experience you just need the endorsement to hall liquid stuff from certain companies
Never do owner opp
Congrats Tati, you did it your way‼️
You came, you saw and you handled your business as a real one should. The other chapter will be that of a more experienced Tati, remember i said so here. This life is like a roller coaster ride, ups, downs ins and outs. Some screaming, some laughing, everyone strapped in and hanging on for dear life. But we all have to pay, to be on the ride. YOU WILL BE OK. Let your light shine trucker girl, you got this. 👏 👏 👏
Sorry about your car🥲
Taking God with me every step of the way. I’m always gonna know when something’s not for me and it’s my time to go. I just have to keep at it and find my place in this industry.
Your Awesome! You have plenty of options. Your ambition will get you exactly where you want to be. I’ve lost that part in trucking after 13 years. I just focus on day for day and not worry about the money anymore. The man that trained me over a decade ago made it simple. He told me to start saving $500-1,000 a month. I’ve been doing that for the last 13 years and never spent a dime. I did the lease and owner stuff during 2015-2018. After that I didn’t want the headaches anymore. Sold the truck and found a company job that didn’t come with the mental gymnastics they play these days. I guarantee you will find a great spot that fits you financially and mentally!
Good Luck!! Stay Positive..💪🏾✨✨✨✨✨
Thank you for telling me your story. Kudos to you on that Savings. I’m definitely trying to follow your wave. I can only hope to get to 13 years but whatever amount of time I do give to this industry, I wanna make sure I tried and if I failed then easily get up to move forward. I just wanna find that sweet spot where I can grow and build in other areas of my life. I appreciate your motivation and I’m glad you’re now at your sweet spot and can be proud of that. Thank you Driver.
@@JusTruknIt Your sweet spot is coming. It’s just part of the journey.
You have the discernment to get yourself whatever you want. The more you go after it the closer it gets to you!
As long as you see a paradise at the end of your choices life is just a pursuit to your greatness… and thanks for the reply. I try to give every driver everything I know and have learned to help. Start with a fresh mind in whatever you choose ! ✨✨✨💪🏾
Very smart move. Thanks for sharing. ❤
Thanks for watching as well. I learned a long time ago to know when to jump. I’ve been jumping ever since.
@7:30 any other drivers out there looking at the visual of this yard with all those trucks in there should be taken note, that's not a good sign and I don't care how you spin it.
That yard is always that way. It’s the smallest terminal and serves the entire northeast.
Saw the truck couple days ago but drank water and mind my business.. it only gets better for you!! Loved how you setup the inside
I absolutely love your transparency sis💕👑💕 you motivate me so much💕 keep winning 🥇 #tanker #femaletrucker 💋 I hope to run into you on the road one of these days 🎈🎉🚚
Happy I can be of some motivation babe. Thank you very much and I’d love that. I have a lot of make Trucker friends but barely any women Truckers on my close network. I started out being open on here so I wanna keep that integrity as I grow. I still try to keep some stuff to myself but for the most part I share what I know other can definitely benefit from.
Wishing you lots of love and God bless you. you are being a upstanding trucker you will go for.. God has better things for you to come.🙏🏽
The most important thing above all,is your next door you will be entering whatever it is. Be strong as always. All the best for your new endeavor.
Big up yoself. Good luck on your next move. 💪🏾🇯🇲 same color truck i have.
Congratulations!! I’m glad you’re out that situation!
Good for you, those lease purchases only benefit the company not the driver.....especially in these times!!!! You will find something better
I’m working hard at it. Thank you for the encouragement
I remember when you say you was going to give up your apartment I say don’t doing now u can’t take everything in the truck and put them in yr apartment and relax you have this you’re smart 🍾🙏🏿
You se show life world out. When I tell you this was the month for me to move and I am so happy I didn’t do it. Once I’m able to be sure about the next move, you’ll just how much you were right with that advice. Thank you
Let’s be honest, prime loves it when drivers bank accounts run dry, it makes the driver desperate and fearful of quitting because they feel like they don’t have the money to quit.
Every major corporation wishes we all lived paycheck to paycheck, that way we’d be good little workers and be grateful for the peanuts they so graciously throw our way.
Good on you for not sitting back and taking that while your bank account keeps draining.
I definitely fear that I’d be a rebel 🤣🤣🤣 I don’t know how to sit still and watch unless I see a better outcome. This was definitely not the case. I’d rather take the chance on myself and leave than to stay and sink.
@@JusTruknItI have to watch your videos to get caught up but did you already have the apartment or is it a new one? Best wishes for you going forward. You sound so sincere and authentic that it is refreshing to just listen.
@@darienms38 I already had it before I started Trucking.
@@JusTruknIt In case I may have missed it on a prior video please share with us on your next adventure what goes into the thought process when deciding to keep or give up paying rent. I heard you say in another video that you would consider staying out 6-7 weeks if it was worth it. At that point rent would just be a burden??
@@darienms38 I was supposed to give up my apt in order to save that money. Didn’t see my apt enough to pay all that money. My initial plan was to stay out 6-7 weeks and then go home to move because my lease would need to be renewed the end of this month. If you’re staying out for long periods of time and don’t have kids or any attachments to a rental unit then it’s definitely worth giving it up. In this situation I can no longer do that as I’m no longer with Prime. There are several opportunities that has presented itself now and requires me to be in my city. So I am happy in this case I did not move out as yet. When the earning is good or consistent giving up the apt would be advantageous. If I was also an owner op with only 1 monthly payment then I would’ve been able to use the money I would usually use pay for rent, to pay for the Truck instead. The truck would now become my home therefore killing two birds with one stone.
Peace is Priceless ✨
You made the best move for you, the ship was sinking, and you knew you had to float. Blessings to you, I’ve been watching your last few videos, and you have a great mindset, and you’re very optimistic. Do your thing.
I appreciate that. Gonna keep at it 🙌🏾

I'm so confused. There is another woman making TH-cam videos on a daily basis making Prime seem like a dream job. I honestly wondered how someone could be productive making money while spending so much time making videos. Of course they will say it's different for every driver. 🤷♂️
I promise I wonder the exact same 😮😮!! After every drive shift and sweeping out TRL I'm beat
The one you’re talking about does reefer. So she’s in a different division.
@@mstdavis86 Thank you for clarification. You are absolutely correct I forgot about that. You figured out who I was referring to. 😁
But keep in mind she never really talks about money and how well or terrible it is leasing for prime. She said kinda vlogs and when she is irritated she doesn’t record
Slime pack? 😂
Hey totally understand I have some interviews locally coming up they didn’t give you a hard time for leaving it at pittston? They said I would have to go to Missouri if I did just wondering cuz I live closer to pittston myself.
There's no crying in trucking.
At the end of the day. It's you and them. And your right, you have to do what's best for you. Bet on yourself always. At least you gained a bit of experience.
You can make good money doing regional with a Hazmat. But one thing for sure you're a go getter and stay bless Ms Boss Lady ✌🏾
Working on something right now. Not sure if I’ll get on the hazmat loads but we shall see😁
What area??
I ALMOST drove for Prime. I'm glad I didn't.
Excellent decision my dear. Im glad you decided to stop the bleeding before it got way out of control. Now hopefully after Prime inspects the truck for physical and mechanical defects they don't hit you with a bill. Remember you're already ahead because you seen the light and got out. Look into Air gas, Lindee, Messer, Gemini. These are company tanker jobs with excellent pay.
I hate moving out trucks, makes me pack light when I get into another one.
I used to always say I don’t know how drivers can have nothing in there truck and be comfortable. Now when I have to move out I understand why🤣🤣 I just need to be comfortable though when I’m in that truck. I just suck it up and deal with the hassle of moving out when it’s time.
I’m confused why she chose to switch from company where they would never let their truck sit, to going lease at the worst possible time? I do not understand the logic behind why now is the perfect time to go lease. Where every driver is sitting 3 days a week. I’m so confused the thought and logic. What did you not notice the rates being in the toilet for the last 7 months?
Basically it was a matter of not doing your homework before signing the paperwork. All the trucking company’s are going through something. All businesses period go through something. A lot of truckers are making great money including prime drivers. Lumping Truckers in with truck drivers as coveted jobs says a lot about her insight in life. Simple case of getting in over your head.
@@bodyup11 yeah I commented on a recent video she posted, did she just never talk to anyone to see how the rates are? she just went lease like 6 weeks ago. even then, how could you not notice the current state of freight for the last almost year. most people don't read what they sign, id be lying if I said I knew exactly what I was getting into my first lease. but I had a plan setup, get my truck paid off over EVERYTHING. I rarely ever went home. took no holidays off. I gave it everything I had. I was prepared for the rates to tank cause it's inevitable to not think that's how the business is. it slows down, she was a company driver, at least hop on a drivers channel and ask what they think of going lease. NONE of them would say to do it. i really want to hear what she was thinking when she made the choice to go lease.
I worked for Direct Transport back in early 2000. We had a terminal in Moosic. We watched planes land at Scranton Airport.
Young lady, you've done well, you went through the fire, now it's time for the blessing, look local, you'll make better money with less stress. Believe it or not, local companies are just as desperate for drivers as the big companies, try agricultural, God will guide you, just trust Him. I started just like you in 1994, the kids are all in their 30s, bills paid, I'm in my 60s and the wife and I are chilling. Peace and blessings be upon you!
Tee, dang this is so sad man. I so respect your hustle.
Hello hope all is well. I really think you made the right decision to move on. I'm with you every step of the way Queen nothing but blessings 🙌🏾 good luck on the next move. My opinion I would be researching a smaller company to work for🤷🏾♂️IJS
Congrats Girl…. Just move forward and remember the Lessons you learned.
Yup that’s all I can do. Won’t even dwell on it too long.

Great move for you ,hard to do a job without pay. mental most important.
Im glad you feel better sis. We gone make it , to where we want to be one day🫂🫂
When I was leaving I took 4 hours to clean detail and my truck was not old they charged me 580 for detail , changed all the tired on the truck with my tire fund my performance bond gone and they sent me a letter saying I owed them 850 I sent a strong letter to them also called attorney General with the pics I had and I was in the negative $389 two weeks and one week $19 I'm not working to pay prime inc truck payments and bills . This was a bad experience. Leasing is a fraud beat thing is getting your truck and lease onto someone's authority a company who is reputable and has work
Wow great info ! Thanks
I’m so happy for you mental health is so happy for
Good luck to you, Jus Truckin It. Driving a truck is a struggle everywhere in this industry, not just with Prime.
Truck less, Enjoy life. Learn our secret to using your Class A CDL. You are sitting on a gold mine here, young lady, and I'm not talking with Prime. You are a leader here. $$$$$ Let us show you.
Should have stayed a company driver until things pick back up; most drivers are struggling.
It wasn’t good company wise on the edible tanker side to me. Regardless I wish I was able to stay on that side if the outcome would’ve been better. Money wise though what I saw just wasn’t decent for me at all. I contemplated switching back but by then there were too many variables for me to go and something good happened once I made the decision so I’m happy about that.
Its hard to hear all this from many drivers. Serms like is not what it seems in the truck company.
I think the diner is hiring 3$ an hour plus tips here's your eggs😂
Yes gurl... go where the money resides and dont take no shit from no one. You done knoe. Big up yuh damn self.
How people are failing at prime is beyond me if you can’t make it at prime your not going to make it anywhere prime is a entry level company
You make no sense. If you’re speaking on failing in terms of driving and maneuvers and the job itself then that makes sense. Speaking on an entry level company would then mean you’re saying the job is easy. Did I mention that the job was hard? Did I not say I am doing the job and not earning enough due to the low freight and low rates whilst having a truck payment additional to other expense? Some of you come on here and pretend like you guys are Gods gift to trucking. You have to learn how to give criticism that makes sense 🤦🏾♀️
How do you go about turning in the truck? I found a local job here in Texas. I heard they have a recovery team who would come get the truck any idea about that? If not do I just tell success leasing I’m turning the truck in? Lol I’m on hometime now I’m not really trying to go back to Missouri 😅
Good for you!! ...you cut your loses, no need paying for THEIR equipment but THEY'RE not providing you with
enough runs to put money in your own pockets. They don't care if you drown in fees, as long as they benefit! ...
I hope you find a owner or company that will appreciate your sacrifices, you seem like a young lady of good character, if
I still had my trucking biz I would have hired you! Wishing you well.
I really appreciate you saying that. It was really inevitable for me to leave. It was pretty clear but I kept going. I’m really keeping my positive outlook on everything. I mean move forward without letting this situation taint my joy of Trucking. I’m gearing up for the next chapter and have made 2 plans this time to cover myself 😂😂 You know Trucking never cease to amaze us so I gotta be prepared.
I drove for a company that contracted through Prime (M&A Logistics), and yes, likewise, I had the feeling that God was telling me this is it. So I left the company and I am constantly seeing and hearing that people with Prime are walking away.
Yep I just turned my truck in 2 days ago. I was tanker. Don't do it! 😅
Honestly the only way to see bread with prime you have to train. Which training isn’t for everyone but that’s the only way to see money with prime
I say you did the right thing for you.
I understand what you are saying after all of the expenses you just wasn't making money. After the truck lease or payment and all of the withholdings for tires truck maintenance and other expenses there wasn't much left for you the professional driver.
I wonder wah gwaan a prime causing everyone to leave, but I’m feeling happy I didn’t go when they blowing my phone up.
God got you !
Hey my friend. He sure does. All the time.

Freight is soft overall it’s an election year
The choices of candidates is crazy
If you’re driving record is good you shouldn’t have any problem finding a company drivers job

Don't beat yourself up over the lease. Im about 40 minutes from you. I live in Oxford, Pa look it up😊
No I definitely won’t beat myself up about it. I kinda move on to the next chapter In life quickly. It says 1hr away from my end. I’m pretty sure I’ve been through there before.

The company should change their name to Sub-Prime.
I definitely went straight to my Transformers movie memory on this one🤣🤣🤣 honestly they’re smart business wise and us as Drivers have to be smart as well.
Where u going now?
I don’t know how tied to Pa., you are but if you are into moving to a different region and want tanker look up Archer Daniels Midland(ADM) they only do tanker , I do believe. I know one plant is in Clinton, Ia and another in Indiana.

Why don’t you try being a local driver? It’s a lot of stress out there on the road.
Depending on the city. Local work can be more stressful even if you're home every day.
Gotta wait for me to tell the next chapter friend. I also agree with the other comment. Local job can be very hectic. I’ve done it 3 times at Werner and it was not easy. Less miles but the drop and hooks were plenty. Either way it’s a trade off I’m willing to make because I see other ways I can do better being home more.

is the market that bad in the tanker division?
I don’t think it’s tanker division as a whole. It’s just with Prime. I just don’t think they have the contracts or freight right now to keep up in that division. I have several friends in tankers and they’re doing just fine. O/O and company drivers.
