Had a Clio 200 FF, Had a 208 GTi BPS, Had a Megane Mk4 280 and now have a GR Yaris. The Yaris leaves the others in all applications. The Megane was the comfiest and the Clio/208 were very close. For £5k though, nothing beats the Clio 200.
I think too many people commenting here are under estimating this Clio’s ability. The description suggests it has AST coilovers! Not playing about here.
Brah the way you caught up to the Yaris.. brilliant drive! I have same model as yours with a crack on left front bumper near headlights .. any idea where or who is good to get it fixed please? London/Kent based
If you had the same driving skills, same tyres in both cars surely the gry would be faster. Looking at the way the clio is braking it surely has semi slicks or ex perf tyres minimum. If the Gry is stock then its not really a fair play. Great driving to the clip driver but no matter how good thr gry is, its its not setup like a track car its obvious that it will be slower. Especially seeing the skils of that driver in the gry.
Yeah I was thinking of getting one but went with the Clio due to it being considerably cheaper although I don’t like to think about the amount I have spent to get it to this level!

You buy a 5k Clio if that's all you can afford, quite simple. Being a previous Clio 200 owner, I know they are good - but outdated and flawed vs modern day alternatives. It’s obviously the driver here. As much as I like cars like the Clio RS, the GR Yaris is just a whole different animal.
No it isn't. The Clio is a better handling and driving car. Yaris is faster in a straight line, that's about it.

Brilliant driving, and what a machine! Shame about the lights appearing on the dash.
